"Why do I have to do it?!"

"Because... I'm dead."

Feng Jingjing hmphed and crossed her arms over her chest. "Why should I help you?"

Li Yingshan's fists clenched. Feng Jingjing breathed into her ear.

"Goddess, are you going to do something? Or do you want me to teach them a lesson?"

"Let's wait a moment. I want to see what they have to say."

Xu Haoran blinked uncaringly. "Her deeds are not mine. I don't agree with what she's done."

Li Yingqin scoffed. "So what if you don't? She's dead anyways. Good riddance, I say."

Li Yingying added, "She thinks she's the best. Always has. Finally, someone showed her that she put herself on a pedestal without the strength to support it."

"Feng Jingjing?" Li Yingqin asked. "Were you the Feng Jingjing who used to be engaged to my friend Gao Jujin高拘谨 gāo jūjǐn - given name meaning "Reserved"?"

Her face scrunched, giving the truth away.

He gasped, "You ran off, leaving Gao Jujin and the engagement in the dust! Where have you been hiding?"

She took a deep breath to recompose herself and said, "I never wanted to marry. So, I took a vow of chastity and swore off marriage when I became Priestess."

His eyebrows furrowed. "Priestess? Of what?"

"Moonlight Pagoda."

Both Li sons choked suddenly. "You belong to Shan'er's Moonlight Pagoda?!"

She nodded. "Yes. I'm its Diviner and have studied under the Imperial Astrologer himself."

They couldn't believe her words. At first, Xu Haoran hadn't been able to believe it either, but she had said it so seriously that he knew she wasn't lying.

Finally, Li Yingqin said, "The members of Moonlight Pagoda are just as arrogant as their Goddess. So what if it's an intelligence group? That doesn't make them better than the rest of the Jianghu."

"W- who are you?!" Li Yingqin demanded. "Show yourself!"

"Me?" Li Yingshan asked mysteriously. "I'm just a ghost."
