Chapter 102: Brother Is Having A Public Affair.

"GUAN XIAN? YOU PROPOSE?!" 

Guan Xian froze and touched his lousy lips. Oops, he blabbers out too soon. Both mother and father Guan look at him as if he wasn't their son. 

"Guan Xian, you propose to a girl without telling your family in advance?" His father sounds stern. But rather than concerning his father's angry voice, Guan Xian felt more terrified as he watches displeasure on his mother's face.

Xiao Ni scoffed and angrily glare at him. 

"Not only propose. My handsome brother proposed and got rejected," Xiao Ni put oil to the burning fire. 

"Xiao Ni! you hold a gruesome over a bowl of soup!" Guan Xian snaps.

"WHAT?!" Mother Guan is practically screaming this time. 

Guan Xian holds his breath and averted his gaze from his mother. Sigh, what sin he had done to have a sister like Guan Xiao Ni. No one holds grudges better than her. 

"He proposed in public?" Father Guan asked Xiao Ni. 

Xiao Ni nodded her head and check at her brother. She could imagine a little stormy cloud above his head as his face darkened.

"Husband, should we call Doctor Felix? I think your son got depressed after Xia Sha rejected him," Mother Guan touched his husband's arm, sounds worried. 

Hearing the word depression, the anger on father Guan's face vanished away. He looks at his wife before confusedly asked, "Xia Sha?" 

Mother Guan face fall. She rolls her eyes at his husband before lazily explained Xia Sha's identity. 

"She is the only daughter of Xia Qi Feng and Shen Xia Fei. Your son took a liking to her, but she declines him."

"Ahh, that girl." 

Father Guan seems to recall his memories about Xia Sha and slightly nods his head. He had heard the news about Xiao and Xia's family. 

"Son, you shouldn't decide to get married for revenge. Let father tell you something, living the best of your life is the most painful slap. Don't be devastated. I'm sure you will find another girl soon. Else, it would be a waste of your handsome face." 

"Right, your father is right. I understand you wanted to show Xia Sha you can marry well too. But trust mother, rushing is not a wise answer to this. Let time heal you, okay?" 

Guan Xian's jaw dropped to the ground. Who feed his parents such a twisted story? Weren't they are talking about Xia Sha before?

"Mom, Dad, Aside from Xia Sha, I wouldn't marry anyone," Guan Xian felt he need to straighten up this point to his parents. 

"Ah???" Mother and father Guan got confused. 

Guan Xian shrugged his shoulder and decided to leave them confused on their own. He quietly sat on the couch and asked for a bowl from the nearby maids.

"Mom, Dad, the woman he proposed to is Xia Sha," Xiao Ni said lazily and quickly complete her sentence before they asked again. 

"Yes, it's the same girl who will marry Xiao's family. Brother is a relationship-wrecker. But don't worry, when I said she rejected him, she only refuses to marry him. They are having a public affair." 

Her mother's loud gasp and Xiao Ni's explanation got Guan Xian speechless. 

"That is slandering! How can I have an affair when Xia Sha is single?" 

"Guan Xian, has you lose your mind? She is going to marry the Xiao family soon."

"Weren't we talking about Xia Sha before? How can you thought I propose to another girl? Mom, you seem not to have any problem when I said I went to a date with her today."

While his wife, son, and daughter are bickering beside him, he calmly thinks until a bulb above his head lit up. He stoops up and stands in front of Guan Xian. 

Guan Xian is surprised and can't understand what his father's doing. He only knew his father put his hand on his shoulder with a determined expression. 

"You and that girl, did you love each other?" he suddenly asked.

Father, that is one tricky question. Guan Xian couldn't roll out the word from his tongue end up nodding his head at his sudden peculiar father. 

"Good! Then don't worry. Our family will support you. I wouldn't let my child suffer because of business matters," He said. 

"D-Dad? Is that you?" 

Guan Xian is touch by his father's word. He spread his arm to hug his father and rest his head on his shoulder. 

"Dad! I love you!" 

"I love you too, son." 

Xiao Ni and Mother Guan look at the male species at their house with wonder. But no matter how cringy they were, it makes everyone's heart warm. 

"Ahhh! why are you two getting a hug without me?" Xiao Ni whines and pulls her mother to join the hug. Guan Xian and his father pull into a hug as they end up in laughter. 

They let go of each other after father Guan patted Guan Xian's back. 

"We got your back," father Guan said to Guan Xian. 

"Thank you, dad-" but you don't have to do anything. I've planed it out, he wanted to say when his father pulls his phone from his pocket. He smiled and called someone over the phone. 

Guan Xian, Xiao Ni, and mother Guan let father Guan get busy on his own and started to eat the black sesame soup. Xiao Ni ended up tasting two spoons from Guan Xian after she whines at him but Guan Xian is determined to not fall for his little sister's trick today. 

"This is from my mother-in-law. Find your own mother-in-law if you wanted it!" he said smugly. 

"Stingy!" Xiao Ni jeered. 

"Alright, stop it, you two." Mother Guan said before focusing his gaze on her son. 

"Guan Xian, so what is your plan? The Xiao family looks quite determined." 

Guan Xian tells briefly their plan to her mother since she has asked. Xiao Ni quietly listening and sometimes give her input on their plan. 

"Well, I always hate dealing with the Xia family. It such a pity Shen Xia Fei give up Xia Sha custody to the Xia family in the past," her mother said with a dull face. 

"Give up? why would aunty Shen give up on Xia Sha's custody?" Xiao Ni asked. 

Mother Guan looked at Guan Xian, who has a confused face. She titled and took a deep breath. As if she is pondering to tell them the reason, she went quiet for a moment. 

"Your aunt Shen was diagnosed with lupus at that time. Her kidney is shutting off. Death is haunting her that time, it was such a dark time for her, it such a pity I couldn't be there for her personally." 

Mother Guan sighed and lowered her gaze. 

"Every mother in this world wanted the best for their child. She probably thinks Xia Sha would suffer with her, thus give the full custody to Xia Qi Feng."

The tree of them falls into a deep silence afterward. The running drama on the television is the only voice that filled the room now. This is when Father Guan suddenly laughed and thanking the person he is calling. 

"Thank you, brother, I owe you this time," he said before closing his phone call. 

Unaware of the strange atmosphere his wife and children said, he smiles brightly while announcing his big news. 

"Guan Xian, I've bought and transferred 30 percent of Xia corporation shares to you. It's a pity I could only buy 17 percent of Xiao Corporation. Use it well," he patted Guan Xian back.
