Chapter 132: He Just Needs To Prove It.

"M-My Father," Xia Sha couldn't speak properly. 

Ruan Jing Tian nods his head vigorously. He is sure that the ring Xia Sha found on Yan Xi's house belongs to Mr.Xia Qi Feng and Mrs. Xia. No wonder it felt so familiar. 

Xia Sha frowned. Although the ring is somewhat familiar in her eyes, she couldn't fathom why Yan Xi had it. While Yan Xi is her distant cousin, Xia Qi Feng never cares enough to visit Yan Xi's apartment. 

Therefore, the ring shouldn't end up in Yan Xi's apartment. 

The only rational reason that crossed her might right now is-

"Do you remember that you forced me to steal the wedding ring the night before your father's wedding?" Ruan Jing Tian asked seriously.

Xia Sha has vague memories of forcing Ruan Jing Tian to commit a criminal act.

"Hm, I remember you told me to stolen Pang Ze Tian's ring because she bragged about the ring all day, and it irritates your soul." Ruan Jing Tian mimicked Xia Sha's voice at the end of his sentence. 

Xia Sha's face darkened. She wished he is not injured so she could smack him down. But that does sound like something she would say. 

"I don't blame you. Pang Ze Tian does sound annoying," Ruan Jing Tian picked up the ring with his left hand. He raised his chin forty-five degrees while observing it for the second time. 

"Are you sure it's the same ring?" Xia Sha's face was unreadable. But Ruan Jing Tian could felt the black cloud over her head, along with a bolt of terrifying lightning. 

Ruan Jing Tian shows a small nervous smile and titled his head. He tried to look cute, hoping that Xia Sha wouldn't vent her anger on him. Of course, he failed his attempt. Xia Sha demands to hear his answer impatiently. 

"I'm not so sure...?" Ruan Jing Tian raised the corner of his upper lips nervously. 

"Don't you know your own father's wedding ring?" Ruan Jing Tian asked again when Xia Sha still look at him with those sharp gaze. 

"It's ugly. Why would I waste my memory on such an ugly thing?" Xia Sha turned her body back to face the road. She hides her devastated heart from Ruan Jing Tian. 

Ruan Jing Tian looks at Xia Sha's tiny back and silky black hair. That back has gone through a lot of things today. Her usually perfect combed hair looks messy right now. 

But she looks cute. And Ruan Jing Tian likes her in every way she looks. Yeah, he cherishes her. She is someone dear to her. So watching her keep swirling in this twister of confusion pained him more than he realized.

Both of them are not stupid. The ring left in Yan Xi's apartment could only raise one-big speculation. 

Pang Ze Tian has cheated on Xia Qi Feng with Yan Xi. 

It sounds very wrong, but it could have happened. 

And for Xia Sha, although she hates Pang Ze Tian to death, she wouldn't be happy that her father wears a green hat. She probably has thought of these possibilities. Thus, she didn't want to let him knew. 

Xia Sha is that proud girl, after all. She probably thinks of Xia Qi Feng's reputation. She wouldn't want people to know this matter, so she keeps it to herself. 

Subconsciously a gentle smile appears on his face, and his left hand has stretched over her head. 

Xia Sha felt the big hand over her head. She was stunned. Turning around to looked at Ruan Jing Tian with a skeptical look, she asked, "Ruan Jing Tian, did you eat the wrong medicine today?"

"Wh-What? No!" Ruan Jing Tian was also surprised when he realized what he has done. He retracted his hand awkwardly when Xia Sha furrowed her eyebrow. 

"You must be sick. There is no way Pang Ze Tian would cheat with Yan Xi. Yan Xi wouldn't want to do it with an old aunty! Don't you see his type?" 

Ruan Jing Tian frantically nods his head despite being too distracted to think about Pang Ze Tian or Yan Xi. However, after he contemplated it, he disagrees.

"He is an animal."

"No, think it through. Why would Pang Ze Tian leave her ring there? And if she did, why left it on the TV table? Everything looks like a set up to lure me." Xia Sha explains her train of thought. 

"Are you saying-?"

"Yes. I afraid everything is a trap." 

Xia Sha is almost confident with her conclusion. Why? Because everything seems so well planned. Pity, the manipulator misses some details when he/she execute their plan. 

First of all, Yan Xi forgot to lock his door. It leads to a perfect 'surprise' Yan Xi has in his bedroom since Yan Xi won't get alerted of their presence. However, the apartment has a smart lock. It is supposed to be locked after someone closes the door from inside. 

So someone has probably known their arrival and left the door open for them. 

Secondly, even if Pang Ze Tian took off the ring, why would she put it in such a place, and why didn't Yan Xi store it? Knowing Pang Ze Tian, she probably panicked and did something to get it back.

Her face got more serious the more she thought about someone behind this scheme. It's not perfect a perfect crime, but still, she could easily slip if she missed the detail. 

'Smart people won't plan big moves out loud. You were too transparent and easily got provoked by anger. You have a smart move, but because you were too enthusiastic, everyone has seen through you.' 

Guan Xian said when she asked his opinion about Ling Guang and Xiao family matter. 

'detail makes the big picture. While you are working on something, grasped the big picture. But take a closer look at the detail. Else not, you will easily get tricked.' 

And she almost did. If Guan Xian's words did not come to his mind and remind her to calm down, she probably has used this evidence to make Xia Qi Feng kicked Pang Ze Tian away.

"So, What about Kai Xin? Does her pregnancy is part of the plan? Who the f*ck is this person, and what did they want?" Ruan Jing Tian expressed his anger by clenching his hand, forgetting that he injured it.

"About Kai Xin, I'm not so sure," Xia Sha's shoulder dropped when she remember Kai Xin's tears. 

Pregnancy is a big issue for every woman. It should be a meaningful process Kai Xin should share with the man that she loves. It's a chapter in Kai Xin's life that she should face with happiness, not distress. 

If Kai Xin really has to go through this because of her fucked up life, how could she ever face Kai Xin? 

Both Xia Sha and Ruan Jing Tian sighed at the same time. Heavy air surrounded the car while silence filled in, once again. 

Both have complicated thoughts on their mind as they stare at each other. Then Ruan Jing Tian's gaze falls on Xia Sha's lap. Ruan Jing Tian notice that Xia Sha starts to fidget her thumb, showing that she felt guilty about something. 

His lips open and close several times as his mind arranging a fitting sentence to cheer her up. He ponders back and forth until he heard Xia Sha let out a heavy sighed once again. 

He swallowed the courage pill and poked her shoulder gently. 

"Don't worry. You have me. We will sort this out, nothing would happen to Kai Xin, and nothing would change our friendship," His voice touched Xia Sha's deep concern inside her heart. 

She looked at him, finally showing some of her vulnerability as tears start welling up below her eyes. She holds her breath and tried to dry her tears before it falls. 

Her hand was trembling. Her back is shivering.

She is afraid.

Ruan Jing Tian's heart aches when he sees her like this. It's such a torturing feeling that he wanted to lash out to see her crying. He frowned, his thumb move gently to wipe her tears. 

"Ruan Jing Tian, what if I'm the one who caused Kai Xin like this?" She controls her voice to sound though but failed miserably. 

"You are not," he smiles gently, keeps wiping her tears away. 

"Ruan Jing Tian, I consciously or subconsciously keep pushing people away from me. I'm so afraid I would be left alone again." 

"Sttt, you won't be alone. You have me, you have Zheng Shuang, You even have Guan Xiao Ni and Guan Xian now. How could you be alone?"

"But-" 

"But what But? When did you turn into such a crybaby? Did senior Guan Xian has doted on you too much? Where is my venomous tongue and stong Xia Sha?" He raised his eyebrow. 

Xia Sha frowned at his annoying remark. But his words have helped her picked up herself. When she realized there is some truth in his words, she got stunned. Then she blushed. 

Right ah, when did she become such a crybaby now? 

"Venomous your head. If my words were venomous, shouldn't you be dead by now?" 

Ruan Jing Tian looks relieved when Xia Sha stopped crying and started to glare at him. He laughed and leaned back to his seat. 

"Come on, my beautiful driver, take me home!" his word got Xia Sha's cursing at him. Ruan Jing Tian laughed. 

'You would never be alone. I'll stand on your side, whether you like it or not,' these promise. Ruan Jing Tian only needs to keep it to himself. Xia Sha doesn't need to hear it.. He just needs to prove it.
