Chapter 157: I Will Never Harm You

"You two are getting married?" 

Xia Sha and Guan Xian's sudden announcement manage to tear up the mask Xiao Yu is wearing. Guan Xian hid his notorious smile and refilled Xia Sha's teacup calmly. 

"Baby Xia, is this real?" Zheng Shuang looks dumbfounded. The expression she wears is priceless. 

She slowly raised her beautiful finger and hide half of her face. Xia Sha smiles and nods her head lightly. The big diamond was sparkling brightly under the dim light. It's almost blinded Zheng Shuang across her seat. 

"Baby Xia-" Zheng Shuang pouted as her eyes started to get red. She looked up to the ceiling to hold her tears back. 

"Don't cry. Why are you crying?" Xia Sha rushed to comforted Zheng Shuang. 

Zheng Shuang fanned her own eyes and shook her head weakly. 

"I'm just so happy for you. You don't even know."

"Congratulations, Xia Sha and Guan Xian," Xiao Yu finally spoke after he regains his composure and calmness. He gently shoved a piece of tissue paper into Zheng Shuang's hand. 

"Thank you. I should also congratulate you and Xiao Corporation for joining Capital Stock Exchange 50 in the market."

"It's nothing compared to the Guan Group. I should learn more from you," Xiao Yu said. 

"There is nothing to learn. I'm just lucky. Instead, I should learn more from you. Aren't you and Zheng Shuang is preparing your marriage now? When will we got the invitation?" 

Guan Xian's casual changed the atmosphere in the private room. Although Xiao Yu's expression did not change much, Zheng Shuang's gesture has shown everything. She looked away and mumbled coldly. 

"You might never get the invitation. I'm about to call off the wedding." 

Xiao Yu's frown comes almost instantly. He glared at her but said nothing. But Xia Sha saw irritation in his eyes. Zheng Shuang glare back at him and lifted her chin fearlessly.

"What? Did I disappoint you?" 

"That is our private matters," Xiao Yu gritted his teeth as he warned Zheng Shuang. 

"Xia Sha would know sooner or later anyway. It doesn't change anything," Zheng Shuang scoffed. 

Xia Sha and Guan Xian looked at their interaction. They secretly do a high five under the table. 

It would start to get awkward if Xia Sha and Guan Xian did not say anything soon. So Xia Sha laughed an embarrassed laughed and faked hit Guan Xian's arm. 

"Senior Xiao, Zheng Shuang, ignore Guan Xian. He likes to spoke nonsense."

"Oh, I apologize to you two," Guan Xian said politely, trying to look sincere. 

Xiao Yu shifted his gaze from Zheng Shuang to Xia Sha and Guan Xian real quick. His eyebrow was pulled together almost into one straight line because of the deep from on his face. 

Xiao Yu's gaze was intimidating for most people. But it's a child play for Xia Sha. Less for Guan Xian. Guan Xian calmly played with his teacup while Xia Sha acted like she tries to change the conversation.

"Oh right! Zheng Shuang, the reason I called you here is to tell you something. But promise me not to get mad after I tell you?" Xia Sha showed her sweet wrinkly-nose smile as she grabbed Zheng Shuang's hand across the table. 

Zheng Shuang tilted her head at Xia Sha's unusual gesture. Zheng Shuang secretly giving her a questioning look but played along with her. 

"Hmph! What trouble did you cause this time?" 

Xia Sha was slightly stunned by Zheng Shuang's response. It was like she was being slapped by herself suspicion. However, her heartfelt light as if someone had lifted the stone on her heart. She clenched her jaw and told toughen her heart. 

'Just a little more. Zheng Shuang, please save our friendship,' she praised inside her heart while her play continued. 

"I've moved out from your apartment when you are away with Kai Xin in Paris."

"Uhuk! Uhuk!" 

Zheng Shuang and Xia Sha looked at Xiao Yu, who looked awry and overwhelmed because he wet his suit. He pulls a lot of tissue paper and wipes his suit.

"Xiao Yu, are you okay?" Guan Xian asked with a worried tone. 

Xiao Yu forced a smile and shook his head. He crumpled all the tissue he used and suddenly stand up from his seat. 

"I'll use the washroom. Please excuse me," Xiao Yu excuses himself and walks away from the room. He was about to slides open the door when he holds his movement and turned to Zheng Shuang.

He did not want to hear her objection. That is clear as he left before Zheng Shuang could answer. Zheng Shuang frowned. She reluctantly picked up the car key and stood up. But before she moves from her seat, Guan Xian grabbed the key and smiled at her warmly. 

"I'll get it for you."

Guan Xian move as a flash. Zheng Shuang was once again left with no option but to do as people told her. She raised her eyebrow at Xia Sha with a suspicious look. When she was sure that Xia Sha hides something from her, she squinted her eyes and pressed her lips in dissatisfaction. 

"Stop playing around. What is it?" 

"What?" Xia Sha put on her innocent face. 

"What did you hide from me? You are acting all weird from the time when you called Xiao Yu to join lunch. I might be stupid and ignorant, but I know you," Zheng Shuang said in a scolding tone.

Zheng Shuang is making an effort to keep her face calm, although her voice came out sounding strained. She looked at Xia Sha nervously. A mixture of guilt and anger decorate her lively eyes. 

"Xiao Yu cheated on me, isn't he? Or did you find out about something," she guesses herself because Xia Sha hasn't answered her for a long time. She lowered her gaze, suddenly lost her confidence to looked back at Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha clenched her fist. Just when she thought Zheng Shuang did not have anything to do with all this mess, she revealed that she, indeed, had hide something from her. 

Xia Sha purposely keeps her mouth shut. She patiently waited for Zheng Shuang to spoke up again. But Zheng Shuang did not even have the gut to move. Xia Sha decided to give her a little push. 

"I thought we are friends," Xia Sha said coldly. 

"I'm sorry, It was an accident. Really. We were both are waisted. I never intended to- to hurt you!" Zheng Shuang sinks her head behind her trembling palm. She is crying quietly. 

"Waisted?" Xia Sha asked. 

She asked because she doesn't understand what Zheng Shuang is implicating. But Zheng Shuang thought Xia Sha is reprimanding her. Her sob broke, her shoulder shakes. 

"Xia Sha, please forgive me! I knew I was wrong. I didn't mean to betray you. I was obnoxious, either did Xiao Zhan. However, I could assure you that we did not sleep together. It was only a kiss!" 

Xia Sha felt a thunder just hit her head and roasted her body. Her eyes open widely. She looks at Zheng Shuang in disbelief. 

"Wait, What?" 

Zheng Shuang could not stop her tears from falling. Her heart beating fast as she grabbed Xia Sha's hand on the short table and begged her. 

"Xia Sha, don't leave me. I swear I did not have any feeling for him. It was a stupid mistake we made when we were drunk! I swear! Please forgive me." 

"..." Xia Sha were lost at words. She blankly looked at Zheng Shuang's pitiful states. It was only until Zheng Shuang shakes her hand, she procced everything she just said. 

"Okay. Calm down first. Don't panic," Xia Sha said to Zheng Shuang. Also, to herself. Both of them took a few deep breaths together before they stare at each other eyes. 

Zheng Shuang looks sad and frustrated when Xia Sha slowly retracts her hand. She thought Xia Sha would hate her for lives now. It's the end of their beautiful friendship. And It pained her heart to think about it. 

"Zheng Shuang, why do I felt that I missed so many things. Like I don't even know what is going on with the world. I did not even notice what my best friend is going through," Xia Sha's shoulder slumped down. 

"Xia Sha-" Zheng Shuang almost broke into tears again when she realized Xia Sha is blaming herself. 

Xia Sha shooked her head and smiles at Zheng Shuang. 

"You don't have to apologize. We both were wrong in our ways. Zheng Shuang, I only need you to answer my question honestly. Just this one question, then let put everything between us behind," Xia Sha grabbed Zheng Shuang's hand again. 

Zheng Shuang nodded her head and squeezed Xia Sha's hand with her finger. 

"We are best-friend, right? You wouldn't do anything to harm me as I will never do anything to harm you, isn't it?" Xia Sha asked. 

Xia Sha's heart was pounding fast, and every time it did, she would felt another rock had thrown in her direction. She counted. She counted five heartbeats before she heard Zheng Shuang's answer. 

"Of course. I will never harm you," Zheng Shuang said sincerely. 

Xia Sha nodded her head and took a relief breath. A smile finally appeared on her face after she heard Zheng Shuang's answer. 

"Good, because I have something to tell you. There is someone who undergoes surgery to have a face like you. That girl got your ID card, live in one of your apartments, and barge into your apartment to take a piece of evidence that will clear my name from the drugs' problem. But what more surprising is that she might have close contact with your fiancee, Xiao Yu." 

Zheng Shuang gasped.. She could not believe what Xia Sha narrated. She shooked her head and mumbles, "Impossible!"
