Chapter 172: You Just Going To Keep This From Me Forever?

Xia Qi Feng stops his movement as turned his back against the door. There is not much emotion on his face, only coldness and a tiny bit of cynicism. 

"You will give me that document if I help your mother?" He raised his eyebrow as he enunciates the young woman's sentence before. 

"Yes," she answers curtly upon facing Xia Qi Feng's indirect intimidations. 

The young woman, staring at the man she used to call father these past years. Never once in a million times Xia Xiang ever imagine she would call this man by his name so disrespectfully. 

Furthermore, threatening him with his document.

"If you didn't help my mother, I'm gonna expose this to everyone," Xia Xiang said with bated breath. 

She did not know where did she steals this courage. But she did not care. Her mind is filled with Pang Ze Tian's cry right now. 

She could not stand any more minutes with her mother's images. Her mind would explode soon if Pang Ze Tian remain there. 

It was torturous. 

"You want to expose what? what document are you talking about?" Xia Qi Feng suddenly let out a mocking chuckle. 

"Don't act stupid. I knew the agreement you make with my mother. Are you even human? How could you do this?" Xia Xiang raised her voice and glared furiously at Xia Qi Feng

Xia Xiang could act as if she is brave and fearless, but she could felt his whole body trembling in fear when she hears Xia Qi Feng's chuckled with his baritone voice. 

"Your mother agreed. Does that make her non-human too?" 

Xia Qi Feng looks standoffish as he slides his hand into his pants pocket and looked at Xia Xiang with a gaze that said 'You are humorous. But try to make some sense next time.'

Xia Xiang gritted her teeth and averted her gaze from Xia Qi Feng in a swift movement. 

"She has no choice but to agree!" 

Xia Xiang failed to surpass the rage inside her blood. It's the rage that overtakes the fear and respect she has for Xia Qi Feng. 

Every time she read the agreement between Xia Qi Feng and Pang Ze Tian, she just felt disgusted.

She tried to think from Pang Ze Tian's perspective, but she still could not fathom her. Why did she agree on such a ridiculous term? 

Because of love?

Xia Xiang knew Pang Ze Tian never really love Xia Qi Feng. She loves the money and power that come with Xia Qi Feng, but never the man. 

Money? 

She doesn't have to go this far for money.

"No choice? She sure has loads of demands for someone with no choice," Xia Qi Feng raised the corner of his lips.

Xia Sha clenched the brown file in her hand. She holds her breath. 

There are millions of words circulating in her mind. But she could not squeeze not even one word out from her mouth. She tried to ignore the bitterness that seeped from her heart and focus on her purpose. 

"Just- help my mom," she said with an almost desperate tone. 

Lowering her head, she sucked her own lower lips and bite them. There was a brim of tears at the corner of her eyes, ready to fall anytime soon. 

Xia Qi Feng quietly observed the sudden change this young fellow show. A hint of cold smiles spread across his face as he quietly probes her. 

"It's you, isn't it?" Xia Qi Feng mutters in a low voice. He looks unperturbed when Xia Xiang looks at him with his eyes flares open. She subconsciously gulped. 

"W-What are you saying? I don't understand."

"Nevermind. You want me to help your mother, but I'm afraid I could not do that. That document, you can do whatever you want with it," Xia Qi Feng's voice returned to his usual frosty tone. 

He almost turned his back when Xia Xiang's mouth fall open. 

What nonsense is this? She wants to Exchange the document for Pang Ze Tian, who almost hurt her daughter? Are you fucking kidding him? 

He had achieved his priority goals ever since he signed the document. As long as Shen Xia Fei's body is healthy, he doesn't need to keep that agreement with suffocating payment. 

If Xia Xiang wanted to destroy that agreement, it somehow felt like a revival for him. But he instantly regretted his decision when he watched someone seize that brown folder from Xia Xiang's hand in one swift movement. 

Xia Qi Feng frowned when he sees the familiar figure. The very same person that Xia Qi Feng wished would never know about the existence of this document. 

"He doesn't want it, but I do!" A bold and confident voice rang on the long corridor. 

Xia Xiang's heart dropped when she see that confident person. She subconsciously took a step back and prepared her legs to run away from that place. 

But the document-

"It not yours to see. Give it to me!" Xia Qi Feng tried to take the document back from the delicate hand.

Xia Xiang's eyes move back and forth from Xia Qi Feng and that young woman's beautiful face. Her mind is buzzing into oblivion. She did not know how to face this chaotic situation. 

"Xia Sha! Give! The! Damn! Document! BACK!" Xia Qi Feng almost shouted. He emphasizes every word he spoke, his eyebrow revealing a hint of warning. 

Xia Sha, the young woman, squinted her eyes at her father. Subconsciously she tightened her grabs on the document, ignoring Xia Qi Feng's warning. 

"What did you two hide from me?" Xia Sha's voice felt like a cold shard of ice. There is anger beneath her quiet. The deliberate delivery of her words is palpable. 

Xia Qi Feng did not bother to reply to Xia Sha. 

He strides forward to seize the document back. But Xia Sha is quick-witted. She clenched into the brown file and won't let Xia Qi Feng take it away from her. 

"Don't you realize that I would get even more curious if you hang so desperately like this?" Xia Sha clenched her teeth at Xia Qi Feng.

"Oh, like you would get less curious if I don't!" Xia Qi Feng replied almost instantly.

Xia Sha scowls, but she did not deny Xia Qi Feng's answer. 

"Xia Sha, this is not your business. What did I tell you about minding your own business?" 

Xia Qi Feng's forehead creased when he couldn't over strength Xia Sha. 

Damn it, where did Xia Sha hide her strength on that little body?

"How is this not my business? Xia Xiang thought of threatening you with this document. Judging from your gesture, you might giveaway few millions to buy it from her. It's just a pity she aksed for Pang Ze Tian!" Xia Sha probed Xia Qi Feng directly. 

"Still! It doesn't have to do anything with you!" 

"Oh really? If it had nothing to do with me, then why are you so desperate to keep this document away from me? Father, do you think I'm so gullible?" 

Both Xia Sha and Xia Qi Feng gritted their teeth. They used almost all of their strength to obtain the brown file. It was until they heard the sound of paper starts ripping. 

Xia Xiang widens her eyes. She raised her hand. 

"Stop! You are tearing it apart!" she pointed out. 

Xia Sha and Xia Qi Feng both looked at the paper at the same time and then, SRTT. 

The brown file tears into two-part, but the white paper inside remains whole. Xia Sha's eyelashes fluttered when her eyes fall on the bold letters on the center of the letter.

Her hand's trembling as she read the first page of the letter.

REPORT OF KIDNEY TRANSPLANT SURGERY

Patient: Ms. Shen Xia Fei

Donor: Ms. Pang Ze Tian

Statues: Succeed

Xia Sha's throat bobbed up and down when she pulled out the pages of white paper. Her heart and mind are about to explode as she skims read the report. 

AGREEMENT LETTER

Subject A: Mr. Xia Qi Feng

Subject B: Ms. Pang Ze Tian

Xia Sha skipped the many causes and jumped to the conclusion at the end of the paragraph. 

Party A agreed to fulfill party B's condition in claused IV as long as party B fulfilled her duty stated on claused III. 

Xia Sha frantically searched for the clauses and read the passage. She could not believe her eyes when she found out the truth behind everything. She stares at Xia Qi Feng in disbelief. 

"Xia Sha-" Xia Qi Feng's voice comes out strained. 

"Why did you hide this from me?" Xia Sha asked in a quiet voice. 

She did not shout and vented her anger like she usually does. She waited for Xia Qi Feng to answer. She waited, and waited, and waited. But she heard nothing.

She never heard an explanation from Xia Qi Feng. 

"It's not my business, you said?" Xia Sha gnashed her teeth as she looked up to Xia Qi Feng. 

The rims of her eyes were red. She let out a mocking scoff. 

"MY MOTHER IS BATTLING A LUPUS, AND THAT IS NOT MY BUSINESS, YOU SAID?" Xia Sha shouted from the top of her lung, striding towards Xia Qi Feng with murderous air.

"You just going to keep this from me forever?"
