Chapter 192: Your Words Are My Command

"I heard Guan Xian, and you agreed on a committed relationship? We are here to give our blessing upon your marriage."

Xia Sha could not believe her ears, especially when she heard those words come from Guan Lin Yi, father of Guan Xian. She wandered her eyes to everyone in the room, trying to find a hint of prank. She stares longer at Xiao Ni, trying to seek the truth from her. 

But everyone in the room had a sincere intention with a happy smile on their face.

"Grandpa, Grandma, You've scared Xia Sha," Xiao Ni said playfully. 

"Aiya, look at the poor girl. We gave her too much pressure. Xia Sha, don't worry, our family is not rushing the two of you to get married. We only want to give the two of you our blessing. It's only right to do since Xiao Ni got marry before Guan Xian," Grandfather Guan added after he found Xiao Ni's remark is reasonable. 

"Em, Don't be scared, Xia Sha. First of all, Grandma needs to apologize for misunderstanding you before. Grandma is here to acknowledge and bless your relationship with Guan Xian," Grandmother Guan smiles gently as her right hand suddenly removes the jade that wrapped her left wrist. 

"This is one of my treasured jade. I'll give it to you as a token of my blessing," grandmother Guan stretched out her hand to Xia Sha. His hand gently shoved the jade into Xia Sha's wrist. 

"G-Grandma," Xia Sha subconsciously called grandmother Guan when they stared at each other after Xia Sha felt the jade on her wrist. 

She is so surprised that she did not know what to think or what to feel. 

"Xia Sha, don't cry just yet. It's isn't the official proposal yet," Mother Guan grinned as she approached Xia Sha with a necklace in her hand. 

"We only want you to know that we are supporting your relationship. So you don't have to think or feel everything that different from that fact. We welcome you to the Guan family with an open arm," Mother Guan tangled the necklace around Xia Sha's neck. 

Several emotions surged into Xia Sha as she holds the necklace with the tip of her finger. Her eyes brim with happy tears when mother Guan suddenly pulled her into a motherly hug. She could not stop herself from smiling and crying at the same time.

Mother Guan smiles and wipes the tears on Xia Sha's face when she pulled her body away. 

"Alright, we won't bother your resting time again. Everyone is tired after the wedding," Father Guan said from behind. With a kind smile on his face, Xia Sha suddenly felt closer to him than before. 

In no time, the member of the Guan family left the room and left Guan Xian alone with Xia Sha.

Xia Sha sits still on the sofa like before, unmoved as if she is a stone. She touched the necklace and looked at the jade bracelet with an unfathomable gaze.

She hadn't removed her focus from that things in a long time. She does not even realize Guan Xian had sat next to her after escorting his grandmother back. 

"You like it so much?" Guan Xian unravels Xia Sha with one question and a single smirk on his annoyingly handsome face. 

Xia Sha looked at him with flushed cheeks. She squinted her eyes at him and began to lean forward to Guan Xian aggressively. In those interrogating manner, she sees Guan Xian start to get nervous. 

A good sign. 

"Guan Xian, you need to tell me the truth in five seconds. Are you seriously wanted to marry me? After everything that I've done to you? 

Guan Xian got lost in words upon dominating Xia Sha almost sat on his stomach right now. But he only got five seconds, and Xia Sha had started counting. 

"One, Two, Three-"

"Yes! I wanted to marry you," Guan Xian cut Xia Sha off before he runs out of time to answer.

"Why do you want to marry me?" Xia Sha asked right after Guan Xian finish answering. Guan Xian felt his tongue-tied for that exact moment. He tried to say something, but Xia Sha has started to count again. 

"Five seconds. One, two, three-" 

Guan Xian widens his eyes. His dark brown pupils seem to be contracted with amusement as if it's asking Xia Sha, 'Are you serious you want me to answer that in five seconds?'

"Four..., five," Xia Sha finished her count. The lively spirit that burned the window of her soul dimmed as she slowly returns to her seat. She touched her necklace again and said, "What is your actual purpose?" 

Guan Xian turned to Xia Sha and observed the beautiful face filled with anxiety hidden under her callous expression. 

"It's this because of the Xiao family?" Xia Sha suddenly asked, raising a question that Guan Xian did not know is there on her mind. 

"What does our marriage had to do with the Xiao family? Your grandfather did not want me as his grandson-in-law again?" Guan Xian furrowed his eyebrow and frowned. 

Xia Sha tilted her head upon hearing Guan Xian's question. No matter what perspective she used to understand Guan Xian's question, she still felt something his words are..., weird. Xia Sha tried to hold her laughter by pressing her lips together, creating a hard line that her lips are almost gone white.

As Xia Sha suddenly went silent, Guan Xian suddenly sighed. He sounds troubled as he runs his hair through his head. 

"I also asked the same question the first time you tried to break our relationship. Remember? I purpose to you at the mall with little fatty helps. At that time, all I knew is that I don't want to lose you. I wanted you in my life, and I could not function without you. All I wanted to do it tied you up with me for all the selfish reasons in this world."

Guan Xian takes his time into talking. His breathing is calm as he enunciates each word thoughtfully, showing his sincerity to Xia Sha. He hopes that it's enough to make her understand how honest he has always been with her and his feeling.

"Then we get back together, solving each problem that comes into our ways. We almost separated again, even after we said we are committed to each other. That is why I realized I could not and should not tie you up with everything, even with a wedding ring."

His way had flawlessly bought Xia Sha to bewitched under his gaze. 

"Call it a cliche story, but somehow I read the bible on the day I blocked you. I was so pissed off that I need something to calm down. I stumbled into this concept of two becoming one and why do humans get marry. It's certainly not for reproduction. But actually for a purpose, which is to glorify Lord." 

"That is so theoretical and philosophical," Xia Sha suddenly chimed in, a spark of smiles enlighted her gorgeous virtue. 

"They usually called it biblical, but yeah, it is," Guan Xian grinned and took Xia Sha's hand at the same time. 

"If you asked me why I wanted to marry you, that is because my heart had chosen you to be that person. I wanted to be one with you because one, I love you. And two, it has to be you."

"How could you be so sure that it has to be me? How could you know that your 'Love' really loves, not some other feeling that you misjudge?" Xia Sha raised her eyebrow, raising her critical question. 

"I told you this before. Every time I imagine the future, I see you there. More than that, I wanted to be with you when you happy, when you sad, when you are healthy, and when you are sick. When you succeed, when you fail. I want to take part in your lives, as I want you to take part in mine. Because we are two people that become one."

"If you think like that, it seems too idealist. There are many factors in our lives that we cannot control. If we wanted to put it that way, you could say you love me because you choose me to become one with you. I don't think love is a variable that we can control," Xia Sha stares deep into Guan Xian's eyes. She is impressed because Guan Xian did not seem to be confused with her words. Rather, he remains calm and collected. 

"I am not controlling love. I did not say I choose to love you, but I do determine my reaction to that. I have the choice to stay in love and work into this relationship. But humans had this selfish nature, as I said before. I wanted to marry you for several selfish reasons. However, when two become one- when you become me, and I become you, I would love you as much as I love myself. Perhaps more because now I have my love for you and my love for myself inside of you." 

Shivers run through Xia Sha's body as soon as Guan Xian finished his answer. She felt her heart beating so slowly, but somehow it makes a greater impact than usual heart-beat-fast. Xia Sha finds her bottom lips between her teeth as smiles grow. 

"Kiss me, you dimwit!" Xia Sha ordered.

"Your words are my command," Guan Xian happily obliged.
