Chapter 219: This Is A Confidential Note

Xia Sha could not understand Xiao Zhan's sudden outburst. She furrowed her eyebrow and put the sticky notes on the corner of the table. 

"What now, Xiao Zhan? You've been quite crazy today. Are you okay?" Xia Sha's lips twitched as she walked to her seat. 

"Crazy? Do you know what is crazy? The fact that the second-biggest shareholder of this company is your family-in-law. Tell me, are you that desperate? You wanted to be their daughter-in-law that bad?" 

Xia Sha felt her heart stop working right after she proceeds with Xiao Zhan's words. Her eyelash moves slowly, slightly trembling as she forces a smile on her face. 

"Why? Why are you so agitated. Since I'm going to marry Guan Xian, it would be mine anyway," Xia Sha answered, hiding the hesitation deep inside her soul. 

Xiao Zhan's eyes dilated. He gritted his teeth as he shook his head in disbelief. 

"You've changed. You've changed so much that I could not recognize you anymore. You've turned into one of that pathetic girls you hate in the past."

Every word that Xiao Zhan said felt like a dagger stab into Xia Sha's heart. The banging sound Xiao Zhan created after he slammed her office door did not even jolt her. Xia Sha took a deep breath and extended her hand to reach the phone on her right side. 

"Fu Qun, help me get the report about company shares. I need to make sure of something," her voice comes out calmer than the voice on her head. 

She stood from her seat and took something out from the safe under her table. It's the file Xiao Zhan left on her table the other day. She went back to her seat and took out the phone inside her bag. 

Guan Xian's contact profile could stay on the lit-up screen for a while before the device turned black. Xia Sha's gaze falls on her phone before it drifted to the door as Han Li walked inside. 

"Boss, this is the file you asked," Han Li put the report on the top of Xia Sha's table. 

"Thank you. You can go back to your job," Xia Sha murmured as she opens the file with a cold face. 

Han Li could sense something is amiss by the way Xia Sha talks. The moment he walked out of Xia Sha's office, he texted Tang Yu Bin about Xia Sha's sudden mood change.

When Tang Yu Bin delivered Fu Qun's worries to Guan Xian, A crease appear on Guan Xian's forehead. He took his phone to called Xia Sha when Tang Yu Bin comes with a follow-up. 

"Fu Qun said, Mr. Xiao barge inside Miss Xia's office and then she asked for a report about the company share. There might be a problem in the Xia Corporation. I'll do my investigation now-"

"No, no need." Guan Xian cut Tang Yu Bin before he finished his sentence. His pupils enlarged as it darkened. 

"Please help me prepare my car. I want to go to Xia Corporation right now." 

Tang Yu Bin carried on his order instantly, while Guan Xian took his phone in an attempt to call Xia Sha.  Xia Sha answers his call before the phone even rang. Guan Xian knew then that she is waiting for his call.

"Hello? Are you waiting for my call?" Guan Xian wrinkled his nose while sustaining calmness. 

"I do. I am waiting for your call and explanation," Xia Sha said in an unexpectedly normal tone. She doesn't sound angry or cold as Guan Xian imagine when she answers his call. 

"Okay," Guan Xian murmured as he stood from his seat. He walked to his favorite spot of his office where he could watch the tall skyscraper and busy people down in the street/ 

"Okay, About the share?" Xia Sha murmured from the end of the side. Her voice felt soft on Guan Xian's ear as if a soft cotton ball had tickled him. 

"Hm, about the share. My father bought it for me the moment he knew I proposed to you. That day, in the mall. He put it under Xiao Ni's name because Xiao Ni is the only person that didn't have direct involvement with Guan International and Guan Corporation." 

Xia Sha's breath was soft as she listens to Guan Xian's explanation carefully. She did not cut him off like she used to do if she gets irritated. Xia Sha was surprised by her response. 

"It's also because my father knew about Xiao family's plan. I might sound like a mommy boy if I tell this to you, but my father did not want me to lose you when he could control the factor that could help you make a fair judgment. Of course, I knew you would be angry if you knew about this, but at that moment, I think it's-"

Guan Xian could not continue his sentence as a disturbing voice of someone knocking behind the door. 

"Boss, the car is ready," Tang Yu Bin informed. 

Guan Xian, who covered the microphone of his phone, nodded his head before he talks to Xia Sha, "Sorry, it's Tang Yu Bin." 

"It's alright. Hm, can you come to my apartment tonight? I think there is something in the prenup we should discuss." 

Guan Xian felt his heart almost dropped when he heard Xia Sha's response. She couldn't read the whole pages and find out his little trick, isn't she?

"Why? What's wrong?" he couldn't conceal the worry from his tone. 

"There are several points. I'll see you tonight?" Xia Sha avoids answering Guan Xian over the phone. 

At this point, can Guan Xian said other things than agreeing with her? 

"Okay."

"Okay," Xia Sha said before she ended the call. 

Guan Xian let out a heavy breath as he touched the thick window with his fingertips. Faint smiles appear on his face as he wonders what Xia Sha finds from the prenup. 

"Did she find out?"

"I found out something!"

Xia Sha suddenly yelled the moment Guan Xian enter the passcode to her house. Guan Xian felt a slight headache when he heard Xia Sha's excitement. He enters the apartment with a grin on his face.

"What makes you so excited?" Guan Xian asked with an amused tone. 

"I found out that you had a thousand pages of the agreement, but nothing said about separation of assets," Xia Sha pulled Guan Xian to her dining table, where she usually works. 

Guan Xian was dumbfounded. He did not think Xia Sha would read half of the files in such a short time. With her capability, it's not surprising if she read the whole page by day. 

Guan Xian felt hopeless as he listens to Xia Sha's chatter.

"Why do you think it contains so many pages? It was to prepared for every scenario if we choose not to separate our assets," Guan Xian shook his head. 

"Ah? Does that mean we will unite our assets?"

"Yes, is that's a problem?" Guan Xian raised his eyebrow. 

"No, but it would be a greater loss if we di-"

"There, that's the word that starts with D- I don't want to hear that, Understand?" Guan Xian tapped Xia Sha's soft and moist lips as he looked straight at him. 

Xia Sha got bewitched to nodded her head. She subconsciously swallowed her saliva as Guan Xian move closer to her. 

"So, would you want to separate our asset?" Guan Xian tilted his head as he shortened the distance between their nose. 

"No, but I do want something," Xia Sha averted her gaze and dodge from Guan Xian's lips. She turned to the file and open pages where sticky notes appear between them. 

Guan Xian collected himself when she picked up the sticky notes in between the index and middle finger. A feigning kind smiles appear on Xia Sha's face as she asked Guan Xian with a sweet tone, "Well, future husband, can you tell me what is inside these sticky notes?" 

"W-what is that? I never see that before," Guan Xian pretend to be dumb as he let out a dry chuckle. 

"Oh? You never see these sticky notes before? Strange, there is your family's logo on the back of the paper. The hand-letter was similar to yours. There is such a coincidence in this world?" 

"M-Maybe?" Guan Xian sounds in doubt with her answer. 

"Uh, huh," Xia Sha tilted her head as she looks straight at Guan Xian's eyes. 

There is something about her confidence and smile that intimidate Guan Xian. He wrinkled his nose and about to confess, but then-

"This is a confidential note, don't you realize? How could you be so careless?" Xia Sha clicked her tongue as she pulled Guan Xian's palm and put the notes on his hand. 

Guan Xian got stupified as he didn't understand Xia Sha's conclusion. 

"Babe, it's our-" Guan Xian flips the sticky notes and reads it for Xia Sha. 

"My meeting notes in the morning. where do you get this?" Guan Xian's furrowed his eyebrow as smiles disappear from his face. 

"From the prenup file, why?" 

"I never give these notes to Lawyer Du. It means someone comes to my office and takes this from me."

Behind The Scene

Guan Xian: "Do you think Xia Sha really find out?"

Tang Yu Bin: "There are big probabilities that Miss Xia find out. She is a smart woman."

Guan Xian: "Still, why does she sound so calm on the phone. She usually were-" 

He doesn't know the right words to describe Xia Sha's temper. 

Tang Yu Bin: "Explosive?"

Guan Xian wanted to say Thermonuclear, but explosive sounds better. But still, he would be dead if Xia Sha knew he describes her with the word, explosive. He rather plays it safe. 

Guan Xian: "You said that, not me,"

Tang Yu Bin was speechless upon facing his shameless boss, who is washing his hand from his crime. He calmly smiles at Guan Xian and shook his head. 

Tang Yu Bin: "Don't worry, boss. It's not my words, it's Fu Qun's." 

Guan Xian's eyes lightened up with wicked light after hearing Tang Yu Bin. He let a low chuckle as he brushed his chin with his hand. 

Guan Xian: "I never knew Fu Qun is this daring before. What a brave man." 

Tang Yu Bin: "Outstandingly brave man. He describes Miss Xia's temper in creative words. I'm amazed by his vocabularies."

Guan Xian: "Really?"

Tang Yu Bin, of course, didn't sound sincere as he sells out Fu Qun to save his life. In his heart, he genuinely praying to God to save Fu Qun's life from Xia Sha. Knowing Guan Xian, this man probably would use this information to his very own benefit. 

Tang Yu Bin for Fu Qun: 'Brother, I'm sorry and I've prayed for you. If we parted our way in the future, I'll always be there to help you.'

Guan Xian: "Fu Qun must have some creative description of my temper too. I wonder how imaginative could you get." 

Tang Yu Bin: "..." 

As Tang Yu Bin stop praying for Guan Xian and started to pray for himself, Guan Xian started to recall his conversation with Xia Sha on the phone. She sounds so calm that it's frightened him. But at the end of her sentence, he could felt her heart softened for him. 

However, knowing Xia Sha, she is not the type of person who could believe people by their words. Guan Xian is almost sure Xia Sha still in doubt after hearing his answer. Especially about the stock. He knew Xia Sha would explode- if he may borrow Fu Qun's word when she finds out that he had become the third-biggest shareholder of her company. 

So what with the calm response? 

It's only until Xia Sha's text comes to his phone that Guan Xian could smile and rest his heart in assurance. 

Xia Sha: I'll have faith in you this time. 

Xia Sha: But I'll personally kill you if you dare to use that shares against me.
