Chapter 232: Guan Xian's Favorite Wine

Xia Sha just realized that preparing a wedding that could satisfy everyone is impossible. There are too many hands on the pages that turn the decision-making process turn into a disaster. Xia Sha started to understand why 'bridezilla' got created in the first place. 

The big day is coming soon, but there's nothing that seems to be settle! 

It begins when Mother Shen states that she preferred a private wedding while Xia Qi Feng insisted on the grand one. It's getting more complicated when she asked Mother and Father Guan's opinion. Soon, every possible choice becomes a topic of arguments between them. 

"Why can't my bride wear five dresses on the same day? We can't we do that?" Guan Xian seems to be frowning at Guan Xiao Ni. 

Xiao Ni sighed and looked at her brother as if he is an idiot. Folding her arm around her chest, she tried to be patient as she said, "Don't you know that changing those heavy and tight dresses is tough? Not to mention it consume a lot of time!"

"No, I don't know," Guan Xian mumbles in realization, but his face still showing how he didn't want to lose on this debate. 

"Still, Xia Sha-"

"If you don't know, why don't you try it yourself? Huh?" Xiao Ni cut him off before Guan Xian could spout out unreasonable reason again. 

Xia Sha sat with the wedding catalog with an exasperated face. 

"Can you two let my daughter-in-law choose her wedding dress in peace?" Mother Guan scolds as she stands in the middle of Xiao Ni and Guan Xian and pulls them apart. 

"I personally still think an intimate wedding is more meaningful," Shen Xia Fei mumbles beside Xia Sha as she looks at the venue catalog. 

"We can do both intimate and grand wedding parties, don't worry!" Mother Guan's lips grew wider as she loves the idea of preparing another party for Xia Sha and Guan Xian. 

"That sounds like a good plan, but honey, we should let Xia Sha choose her wedding gown first," said Antonio, the wedding planner that had become Xia Sha's savior for the past few weeks. 

Antonio used to be Mother Guan's assistant before. He started to pursue his passion as a wedding planner after he quit his job. Mother Guan trust him, and Xia Sha could see why. 

"Although marriage is the union between two-family, the brides and groom had all the rights to choose their dream wedding. Now, why don't we settle the wedding dress design before we need to postpone the date," Antionio especially look at Guan Xian, who had terror on his face? 

Guan Xian shook his head frantically as he finally chooses to be an obedient groom. A smile began to invade his face as he quietly watches Xia Sha choosing her wedding gown. A secret wink from Xiao Ni makes him covertly give her a thumbs up. 

Guan Xian succeed in his mission! 

It all started when after they set up their wedding date. Xia Sha started to asking around Mother Guan and Shen about the wedding they prefer. Guan Xian knew it's an act of her filial petty towards their parents, but he doesn't want his wedding to be that way. He had it enough when Xia Sha began to ask Xiao Ni about their family preference. 

Guan Xian understands, being the Guan family's daughter-in-law had its pressure. He could've to tell Xia Sha directly to choose for herself and don't give a damn about anyone, but knowing Xia Sha, would she listen to him? 

He fabricated a week's drama to make Xia Sha fed up and ignore everyone's wish but hers. It's proven to be the right choice. In the end, Xia Sha had appointed her wedding dress designer and her wedding theme. 

"One step closer, baby!" Guan Xian hype Xia Sha up after she let out a sigh. 

"Yeah, it's been an exhausting week, but I'm glad," Xia Sha mumbles in between sarcastic and sincere tones. Guan Xian let out a chuckle when he sees her face. She must be irritated with him after all the unnecessary fuss he made. 

Slight guilty, Guan Xian chooses to redeem himself with dinner in Xia Sha's favorite restaurant. As they wait for the food, he took out something from his pocket and slides it to Xia Sha. Xia Sha raised her eyebrow and looked at Guan Xian with a surprised face. With a growing smile formed on her lips, she expectingly asked, "What is this?" 

"Open it up," Guan Xian answered with his secretive expression, making Xia Sha got even more curious. 

With a burgeoning sense of pleasure, Xia Sha pulled out the attractive-looking red ribbon. A glint of spark glinted in her eyes as soon as the little present got into her sight. She pulled out the gold key from inside the box and asked Guan Xian with interest, "A key? What does this mean?" 

"That is the key to my heart," Guan Xian winked and look playful while he grinned. 

Xia Sha titled her head and looked intently at the key in her hand before turning to Guan Xian with a confused expression. 

"I don't quite understand," she mumbles out loud.

"I meant it literally," Guan Xian winked but refused to explain the sudden quiz he plays. 

Xia Sha squinted her eyes to interrogate Guan Xian and made him answer her question, but then a hindrance appears before her eyes. That same calm and elegant figure once again filled in Xia Sha sight in the middle of the time she spends with Guan Xian. 

"Xia Sha! Guan Xian! Didn't expect you two would be here!" The person sounds excited as she approached Xia Sha's table. 

Xia Sha's smile turns sour as she sipped her champagne while glaring at Guan Xian. 

"It's you again, Ye Zhen Zhen!" Xia Sha looks unimpressed as she turned to Ye Zhen Zhen. 

If Xia Sha didn't remember that they would work together on a project, Xia Sha might have to spout out her usual venomous answer. 

"We coincidentally met too often that I didn't think it's coincidental anymore. Are you stalking us?" Xia Sha wished she could slap those words to Ye Zhen Zhen right now. 

"Yes, this is Xia Sha's favorite restaurant, and we're having a blast dinner," Guan Xian answered. The corner of his lips was showing that he is annoyed by Ye Zhen Zhen's presence. 

Both Xia Sha and Ye Zhen Zhen seem to notice this fact, as Guan Xian didn't bother to hide his expression. Ye Zhen Zhen's smile look posed, but her gesture becomes awkward. 

"I'm delighted to hear that. I'll make sure to make Xia Sha's our VIP customer member," Ye Zhen Zhen tried to ignore the last sentence and turn to Xia Sha with a sweet smile. 

Another fake smile spread across Xia Sha's cheek as she got what Ye Zhen Zhen is hinting at her. In a typical scenario, after Ye Zhen Zhen hint that she owned the restaurant Xia Sha needs to be surprised and talk about it. However, Xia Sha doesn't want to be typical right now.

Xia Sha's short-ended sentence left Ye Zhen Zhen with no choice but to smiles awkwardly and walked away with a lame excuse, "I hope you two have a great time. I need to talk to the manager now. Please excuse me." 

Xia Sha nods her head calmly and watches Ye Zhen Zhen gracefully leave the busy room. 

"I'll never have dinner in this restaurant again," Xia Sha mumbles as she turned to Guan Xian.

Guan Xian raised his eyebrow, looking rather amused as he shook shot a loving gaze to the person in front of him. 

"Why am I not surprise?" He chuckles as he raised his glass of wine to Xia Sha. 

"To never come back to this restaurant?" Guan Xian toasted. 

"What a shame, the food is heavenly," Xia Sha hissed but raised her glass and accepted Guan Xian's toast. 

"Oh, don't act so helpless. We could hire a better chef or pouch them to us," Guan Xian winked at the same time when the waitress serves their food. 

Xia Sha rolled her eyes upon watching Guan Xian's boyish smile. 

"You are wicked. Do you know that?" Xia Sha claims as she smiles and thanks to the waitress. 

"For a sentimental reason? Yes, I could be wicked sometimes," Guan Xian smirked as he began to cut his steak into pieces as they laugh. 

As Ye Zhen Zhen wished, they were having a great time. Ye Zhen Zhen watched them with a dark face. Jealousy started to eat her rationality as she took a bottle of wine and walked in Xia Sha and Guan Xian's direction. Her frown changed into a gracious smile within a second. 

"Forgive me again, but I found this delight bottle in the winery and remember it's Guan Xian's favorite wine. I couldn't help but share this as a present of your engagement. Please, enjoy?" Ye Zhen Zhen smiles at Guan Xian while his face turns dark. 

Ye Zhen Zhen's right eyebrow was arched beautifully as she hinted a meaningful smile to Guan Xian before he walked away.
