Chapter 253: Xia Sha Had Made Her Decisions

Since Xia Sha woke up from her coma state, Guan Xian has treated her like a porcelain doll. Hence, Xia Sha unconsciously let down her guard and forgot that her husband is also her mortal enemy!

Under Guan Xian's intense gaze, Xia Sha couldn't do anything but please him with the honeyed word, "Walk! Of course, I'll walk on that aisle. How could I leave you at the altar?" 

Guan Xian's eyes lit up dramatically before exhaling and nodding his head. 

"Hm! I'll make sure you'll regret if you dare to do that!" He said with a threatening tone at the end of the sentence. 

Xia Sha has a silly smile on her face before she moves as quickly as the lighting. In a blink of an eye, Guan Xian had felt the warmth from the soft and plump lips of Xia Sha and the uncomfortable feeling of losing it. 

"Don't make trouble! We still have a meeting!" Guan Xian spoke in a hoarse voice that he eventually lost his voice when Xia Sha's finger trails along with his adam apple. The itchy and ticklish feeling makes Guan Xian hold Xia Sha's hand firmly. 

"Oops," Xia Sha grinned rakishly, pulling her hand from Guan Xian, "Well, since you'll take care of the ceremony, you can surprise me! I'm going to prepare dinner now!" 

Guan Xian's eyes darkened as he watched Xia Sha running away after playing him around. There's a burning urge to forget the damned meeting and roll on the bed all night long deep inside him. 

The idea is appealing to Guan Xian, but sadly, he needs to bury deep his desire as notification from Tang Yu Bin demands him to cast his focus on his work. 

Tang Yu Bin: "!"

Tang Yu Bin: "Boss, you cannot slack off anymore."

Tang Yu Bin: "You've rescheduled for the third time."

Tang Yu Bin: "I'm reporting to Old Master Guan if you make me reschedule it again."

Tang Yu Bin: "Don't blame me..."

Guan Xian: "!!!" 

This Tang Yu Bin probably had bored working for him! 

Ever since Guan Xian take over the company, father Guan has been idle. He could partially live his life as he wished, without any worry. When Xia Sha accident happened, Guan Xian had to take care of her in the hospital and work. 

Initially, there hasn't been any problem. Guan Xian can keep Xia Sha's accident secret from the public. He also sends Meng Ran to a rehabilitation center with extra security. Although he didn't know what to do with Meng Ran, she's not a threat for a meanwhile. 

However, since Guan Xian knew how passionate Xia Sha was toward her work and projects, he couldn't bear to abandon her paper on the desk. And so, he monitored Xia Sha's work with Fu Jin's help while planning the wedding. 

A sleepless night is a cost for running the whole show single-handedly. By the end of the week, mother Guan found her son almost passed out and pitied him. And so, Father Guan reluctantly helps Guan Xian in the company until everything comes back to normal. 

The Old-man has been aching to have his comfortable life back! 

Guan Xian gets more convinced that he treated Tang Yu Bin too well that he starts to be acting up! 

In the end, Guan Xian proceeds to focus on his work while Xia Sha makes dinner for two of them. Since it's her first time cooking in Guan Xian's kitchen, Xia Sha takes her time to get familiar before she opens the stove. 

It was eight at night when Xia Sha finished her last dish. She carefully puts the simple course on the dining table while he waits for Guan Xian to finish. The dining room is not too far away from the living room where Guan Xian sits. So Xia Sha could hear the vain authoritative decision from Guan Xian while chatting with little Hu Che over the phone. 

The smile she had on her face gradually vanished as she lay her head on the table and drifted away to the dreamland. 

"Then, let's settle for the third proposal," Guan Xian affirmed as he ended the meeting. 

There's another proposal he needed to review, but Xia Sha's cooking has been inviting him to put his work aside for a moment and enjoy the delicacy. With an amused expression, he approaches the dining room with praise on the tip of his tongue. 

"It smells heavenly. what did you-" 

Guan Xian instantly shut his mouth when he saw a beauty sleeping on his dining table. He didn't realize how his face turned gentle as he carefully pulled seats next to Xia Sha. Mimicking her posture, he lay his head on the table, where he could observe her peaceful face.

He didn't realize how long he stayed in the position, but when Guan Xian dragged out his reverie, he felt pain in his back. His eyebrow flickered in a strange pleasure when he realized Brian was right. He's whipped beyond repair. 

Gently, Guan Xian princess carries the sleeping Xia Sha towards his bedroom. He makes sure to cover Xia Sha in a blanket before taking a pad and bottle from the bathroom. 

"Tsk, You tell me not to worry about you, but look at you!" Guan Xian clicked his tongue as he carefully wiped the makeup from Xia Sha's face. "Where in this world will you find a man like me, hm?" 

"Did eating with Liem Ke Yong that fulfilling that you didn't have to have dinner?" 

"If you tell me first, you don't even have to strike a deal with that damned playboy," Guan Xian continued his quiet rumbling, pinching the tip of Xia Sha's nose as he went on. 

"But I guess you wouldn't be happy if I left you with no problem to solve, right? Why are you so difficult?" 

Xia Sha, who is has woken up halfway when Guan Xian carries her upstairs, started to regret, "..."

She expected this to be sweet! Not this endless complaining, alright?!

"Then again, I don't understand how people keep targeting you?" Guan Xian whispered as he watched her delicate features reveal behind Xia Sha's sharps makeup. "I guess it's fair. You are not exactly an angel. You can be mean sometimes."

Xia Sha: "..." 

Fair enough.     

He went silent for long minutes before Xia Sha felt his lips on the top of her forehead. 

"Don't worry. You are not alone anymore. I'm here for you as you'll be there for me too. Sleep tight, baby. I love you."

It left her with an overwhelmingly sweet and tingling sensation. Xia Sha has this urge to open her eyes and hug Guan Xian tightly, but before she could, Guan Xian has closed the lamp and walked out of the room. 

The series of words had Xia Sha lay awake on the bed with a pounding heart. She looks up and blinks a few times at the ceiling, unable to think anything. Guan Xian's voice echoed on her mind as his touch lingered on her skin. 

'Lay for another minute, and you'll officially be insane!' Xia Sha's inner goddess scolded, forcing Xia Sha to sit up straight. 

She had made up her mind, and no one could change it!

And so, the next day, in the middle of the meeting, Tang Yu Bin barged in with a pale face. He walks toward Guan Xian in staggering states. In a quiet tone, he said, "Something urgent happened to Ms.Xia. We need to leave now, boss!"

Guan Xian's eyebrow immediately knitted together as he ended the meeting early. 

"What happens? Did she get hurt again? Didn't I ask to double up the protection?" Guan Xian inquired, seating nervously beside Tang Yu Bin, who drove like crazy. 

His mind wanders everywhere, imagining every possible scenario he's about to see. 

The quiet atmosphere on the car was nerve-wracking. Tang Yu Bin glance at Guan Xian with a guilty conscience. He certainly knew how Xia Sha could affect Guan Xian. And yet, he still needs to finish his missions. 

"I'm not sure, but Fu Jin said Ms.Xia came to work and suddenly fainted in the middle of a meeting. Mr.Xiao Zhan is driving them to the hospital right now." 

"What? She comes to work?!" Guan Xian almost yelled. A vein has popped up in his forehead and neck while he tried to calm his nerve. 

Damn it! He clearly heard Xia Sha promise him not to be naughty anymore today. Which part of 'take a good rest' did he fail to deliver? 

"Boss, don't get too agitated. You should see the news. I'm sure you'll take the same action if you're Ms. Xia," Tang Yu Bin carefully said, taking advantage of the red light to hand Guan Xian his tablet.

The frown on Guan Xian's face deepen when he read the title. He felt so frustrated that he had loosened his tie around his collar for air.
