Chapter 54: Starry Mood

Guan Xian's mood seems to be a little bit off after Xia Sha's confession. The more Xia Sha thinks about it, the more awful she felt. She could see a flash of hurt in Guan Xian's eyes in a split of moments. He gives the impression that the restaurant is something significant in his heart. 

So she squeezes out an apology above the beautiful skyline of Capital City. "I'm sorry. It was rude of me. I promised you to give it a try." 

Guan Xian look surprised to hear an apology coming out from her mouth. He shows a bright smile that lightens the weigh on Xia Sha's heart significantly. 

"Nah, I was getting a little bit butthurt earlier." He surprisingly expresses his feeling frankly. But instead of making Xia Sha felt she is a terrible person, his response makes her impressed with him somehow. 

"Well, I'm sorry again." She raised her eyebrow then turn her eyes to look at the view ahead of them. 

"Do you think I'm that generous?"

"You are," Xia Sha answer nonchalantly. 

"...Well, I'm not." He said after getting speechless for a few seconds. Xia Sha rolls her eyes, but her lips are pressing into a smile. Guan Xian did not realize how he could like someone to smile. 

Noiselessly, Guan Xian enjoying his view while she watched her's. 

The ride by private helicopter only takes a half-hour to reach their destination. It was cold and dark when they land in an old building. Xia Sha unbuckled her seatbelt and took a deep breath. 

She could feel the change in the atmosphere, the air, the surrounding around her. It was very dark and slightly noisy right now. Guan Xian has open the door for her and helps her step out of the helicopter.

That is when she felt the air is colder than she thought. She glances at Guan Xian, who only wears a black shirt. Then she realized his suit is covering her body along the way. 

She has been too comfortable that she did not realize this sooner. 

"Wait here," Guan Xian said before jumped inside the helicopter again. From his point of view, Xia Sha could see the bursting muscle contracting whenever Guan Xian moves. 

She blushes unknowingly. 

Guan Xian comeback holding a bag jacket in his hand. "Here, wear this." He said excitedly, passing on of the Jacket to Xia Sha. Xia Sha take the soft clothing and stunned. 

Perhaps zoning out for too long, Guan Xian tapped her forehead with his index finger and shook his head. "What are you thinking? Put on the hoodie before you catch a cold." 

Xia Sha lowered her gaze at the hoodie before staring back at Guan Xian. "Your hoodie?" she asked, like asking for a confirmation. So Guan Xian gives her the confirmation she needed, with a smirk plastering on his face.

"Yes, my hoddie." 

"But-" 

"But, what but? You already wear my suit all night long." He said smugly, clearly enjoying her vulnerability right now. Xia Sha bites her cheeks inside and scoffed. 

"Fine!" She agreed and put on the hoodie. 

Guan Xian watched his hoodie turn into an oversized dress for Xia Sha and find it adorable. There are no words to express how he feels right now. He just happy beyond words right now. 

Xia Sha is well aware of the way Guan Xian looks at her right now. But she did not dare to look at his eyes right now, even though she wanted to. He just turns her into this shy little girl who forgot the man in front of her is a great player.

God knows how many girls he has made feeling this way.

The sudden realization is unpleasurable. Xia Sha takes a deep breath and turns her gaze around her surrounding. Try to find her states of mind. She was about to remind herself not to make stupid decisions again for the fifth time when she felt someone had held her hand. 

Surprised by the sudden warm hand that covered her small fingers, as if it was protecting her, she gasps. Her little voice makes Guan Xian turn around to her, showing her a charming smile that one could not resist. 

"Come on. We only have one hour to do this!" He leads her passing a few men wearing a black suit that Xia Sha just realized was standing there. Ah, sure enough, young master has a bodyguard everywhere he goes. 

Guan Xian took her to a jeep, ready set with the driver. Guan Xian seems to be very familiar with the old uncle.

"Yo, Bro! Long time no see!" The uncle raised his hand to do a high-five with Guan Xian. They do the high five and end up bumping chest against each other. 

"Yo, Old Man. I'm glad you are still alive." Guan Xian said as if the old uncle has the same age as him. The old uncle chuckles and pushes Guan Xian aside from his sight. 

"Little girl, does this man kidnapped you?" He cracked a joke to Xia Sha, who has been observing them from behind. Xia Sha smiled and shook her head slowly. 

"Exactly, Uncle, can you report this man to the police?" 

The uncle laughed and pointed at Xia Sha, elbowing Guan Xian afterward. "A good catch this time," he chuckles. 

Xia Sha smiles but her little heart stops pounding for a moment. Like an overworked machine, it has been working hard all night long and suddenly someone decided to turn off the switch. 

Good catch this time? This time?

That's meant there is the other time right? He has come here with another woman? 

Well Xia Sha, what are you thinking. Of course, he does this before. What a fool you've been, you thought you are so special? 

She is busy arguing with her demon when old uncle laughter bought her back to reality. "Do you know who he bought last time?" 

Xia Sha forced a smile, she answered. "His date?"

The old uncle's laughter erupted louder while Guan Xian shows a sour smile. "My date is stealing my sister right now, dammit!" 

"HAHAHAHA! Who even bought a man to stargazing?" The uncle's laughter just got louder and louder. Hearing their conversation, Xia Sha's heart slowly beating again. Her eyes reflecting her good mood as she started to laugh with the old uncle. 

"Laugh! Laugh! Laugh! My mother said if you laugh too much you will cry at the end of the day." He hissed and gave the old uncle a dirty look. 

The old uncle still laughing, but gradually it stops. The old uncle drives the jeep like a professional driver. They went through some rough road and sometimes mud along the way before they arrived at a little flat surface on the top of a hill. 

There lay a furry carpet, snacks, and a little lamp in the corner of the carpet. Xia Sha has lost count of how many times she gasp today. She turns her head to look at Guan Xian who surprisingly is looking at her too. 

When their eyes meet, Guan Xian touched her hand slowly, leading her to the carpet. "We've watched a thousand lamps beneath use, now let's see a thousand stars above us." 

Bewitched. He had her bewitched that she foolishly does whatever he told her with a willingly with a grin. He pulls out a pillow and blanket, making Xia Sha's comfortable in every way. Seeing the blanket and pillow, Xia Sha joked, "Sleeping in the wild, really?" 

Guan Xian chuckled, looking young and free as the wind messing up his hair. Xia Sha was struck at the moment for a while. Not realizing, Guan Xian has the same soft and tender looks as her. 

They stare at each other for a lot of time today, Xia Sha felt she has become the Bella Swan and Guan Xian is the Edward. Despite hating how half of the movie basically about staring at each other with heavy breathing, Xia Sha needs to admit she loves doing so. 

She could not help but become Bella Swan who irrationally giving up all her lives for the sparkling skin creatures. The man is just so charming, so mesmerizing. He had her forget her sanity every time his dark brown eyes staring at her.

"Lay down?" he asked while patting the pillow. 

"Sure," Xia Sha smiles, slowly leaning her back to the soft furry carpet. 

They lay down on the sofa and immediately welcomed by the dark skies, filled with so many little diamonds. Xia Sha is dumbstruck for the second time. 

"Am I still on the earth?" She murmured, causing Guan Xian to chuckles while he put both of his hand on his back head. 

"I also said the same thing when I come here with Wang Kai." 

"You really go on star gazing with Wang Kai?" Xia Sha finds it hard to believe. Two adults laying next to each other while lining the stars. 

"Well, it's true. But don't image two adult men choose to stargaze together randomly okay?" Guan Xian defended himself. "Xiao Ni has us tricked, saying she wanted to go on stargazing. When everything she lay down, she forgot everything and sleep. Damn, she even snores."

Xia Sha laughs and turns her head to look at Guan Xian. Who has always look at her.. "This setting makes me wanted to sleep too!" Xia Sha and Guan Xian laughed roared into the night.
