The North State, Pyeong-yang, Daesung-ku, Bipa-dong, Bipa Street (the Emperor’s Suite VIP room)

“Drink up!”

Three men with a strong North Korean accent were drunk and enjoying their evening with women in the high-class suite’s VIP room in downtown Daesung-ku.

They were Goo Sang-sik, Oh Gil-soo, and Nam Gyu-tae who had secretly left the hideout to have some fun.

“Argh! Are we gonna keep drinking as if there’s no tomorrow?”

“Yes, yes, there’s no tomorrow for us! Ha ha ha.”

The men had ordered a 50-year-old Royal Salute, which was over $10,000 per bottle, from the high-class suite and kept drinking it like water. They also started to fondle the women and kiss them.

The hostesses from the suite were used to dealing with gentler guests so they smiled forcefully from dealing with the guests who lacked manners. They wanted to just leave.

“You have great skin. How about I get a closer look?”

Goo Sang-sik attempted to place his hands under his partner’s one-piece and touch her underwear. She stopped him with her hands and frowned.

“You bitch, put your hand down. Put a smile on your face before I get angry, all right?” Goo Sang-sik got angry and attempted to slap his partner while grabbing her chin. The lady broke free from his hold and started to run away from the room screaming.

“You bitch, where the fuck are you going? Come back!” Goo Sang-sik picked up the bottle of Royal Salute and threw it at the door.

Crash!

The bottle broke into pieces and glass scattered everywhere.

“He he he, that girl pissed off our Comrade Goo over there. You shouldn’t,” Nam Gyu-tae smiled and spoke to his partner.

“Comrade Goo! Relax! She’s not the only girl here, is she? We can just get more, so sit down and have a drink,” Oh Gil-soo attempted to calm Goo Sang-sik down.

Soon a knock came on the door and a good-looking woman came in. It was Madam Song, the hostess of the Emperor’s Suite.

“Gentlemen! How can you guys party this wildly? Oh ho ho,” Madam Song, who was an expert in the business, attempted to use her charm to calm down the rowdy guests. Based on their clothes and looks, she wanted to just kick them out. But since the men started throwing down hundred-dollar bills everywhere as they came in, she decided to coax them into spending every single penny they had and guided them into the VIP room. “Gentlemen! Please relax…”

Goo Sang-sik glanced at Madam Song with a dazed look on his face. He smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder before pulling down her clothes.

Aaaaaaah!

Madam Song covered her chest and underwear with her hands and screamed.

“This bitch is old but her body’s not too bad, why don’t you keep me company for tonight? He he he.”

The thugs who were waiting outside the door kicked in the door and the scene within the VIP room was a mess.

One of the men was trying to rape Madam Song on the sofa and pulling down her underwear, while the remaining two were groping their partner’s breasts and rears as they watched.

“You sons of bitches! If you came to drink, just do that quietly and leave. How dare you, this isn’t some bum country town you’re from, you idiots!”

The man with a knife scar on his eye grabbed Goo Sang-sik, who was trying to rape Madam Song, by the throat and threw him to the wall.

Slam!

Goo Sang-sik fell to the floor after slamming into the wall. He stumbled and got back up to stand in front of the large bodyguard who threw him. He wiped the blood from his lips and smiled slyly. “He he, you son of a bitch! You’re pretty strong, aren’t you? Stop ruining our party and leave when I’m in a good mood. Huh? He he he.”

Goo Sang-sik turned his head around and laughed while looking at Nam Gil-tae and Oh Gil-soo.

“Why, you! You little shit, you don’t know when to back down, do you?” The large man with a knife scar was in a rage and picked Goo Sang-sik up by the cuff of his shirt again.

“Argh! Do you want to go? Let me go! You bastard.” Goo Sang-sik was dangling in the air but continued to swear at the large man.

“That’s it. I’m done with these idiots. Take all of their money and kick them out.”

“Yes, boss!”

The thugs standing behind the large boss with a scar attempted to subdue Nam Goo-tae and Oh Gil-soo. That was when Goo Sang-sik, who had been dangling in the air, hit the large man in the temple.

“Argh!”

The man with the scar stumbled back after being hit at the temple. Goo Sang-sik broke free from his grasp and hit him in the solar plexus with his knee. Goo Sang-sik struck him with the blade of his hand repeatedly. When the thug fell, he started to slam his right foot down on his head mercilessly. When Goo Sang-sik finished beating up the thug and looked behind him, his comrades were doing the same.

One of the thugs was laying down and bleeding on the table after being hit on the head. The other was in a chokehold by Oh Gil-soo and passed out after struggling for a few seconds.

The VIP room was in complete chaos and the two hostesses all ran out of the room screaming.

“Hey, Goo Sang-sik, we’re fucked. Let’s get out of here.”

Oh Gil-soo tossed the unconscious thug to the side and put his shirt back on.

“He’s right, we need to get out of here.”

Nam Gyu-tae rushed to the hallway to get a better look.

“Damn it! I wanted to have some fun for once and those bitches ruined the mood.”

Smack smack smack!

Goo Sang-sik stepped on the boss with the knife scar on the head again. His skull collapsed and blood started spewing everywhere.

“What are you doing? Let’s go!”

“All right. Fuck!”

Goo Sang-sik and his entourage started to head towards the exit, but a dozen thugs armed with knives and metal pipes blocked their way. They started running towards the opposite side of the hallway.

The South State, Seoul Yongsan-ku, B2 bunker (ROK military joint command center)

A meeting about the 7th mechanized infantry brigade’s 79th armored battalion’s battle at the south of Koi was being held at the ROK military’s operations briefing room.

The 79th armored battalion was victorious against an infantry militia regiment and the revolutionary guard’s 2nd armored brigade equipped with Russian weapons.

The allied forces had lost eight Black Tiger tanks; four became immobilized and four armored vehicles from the HQ company were destroyed.

Compared to the size of the Iranian forces, the allies did not suffer a severe casualty. The Iranian military, on the other hand, had all of its forces wiped out except for the retreating 2nd revolutionary armored brigade.

In truth, the 79th armored battalion did not achieve this all on their own. The request Chairman Shin Sung-yong had made to the president through Minister Kang Ui-sik being approved allowed them to be victorious.

The request that the chairman had made to the president via Minister Kang Ui-sik was the authorization to use the AHD (Acoustic Hailing Device) that had been developed and tested at the Parthenon research facility for the Republic of Kurdistan’s war of independence.

While the world’s research facilities continued to develop weapons of mass destruction, the Parthenon research facility had developed a non-lethal terrestrial sonar weapon: the AHD.

The AHD would cause the enemy soldiers to become unconscious temporarily with the sound it made after exploding. This weapon was primitive yet technologically sophisticated. If the sonar waves could be sent to the target, then it could neutralize multiple targets.

The AHD terrestrial sonar weapon was necessary for the future of humanity and to prevent further casualties in war.

The main issue with this technology was to have the sonar be powerful enough to make the targets become unconscious but also be able to set a frequency and range. If the range became wider than expected, then it could also affect the allied forces as well.

The joint chief of staff had received approval to use the devices from the president two days ago. The Parthenon research facility sent in all 120 rounds of their TB-AHD and four detachable launch pads to the Kurdistan peacekeeping forces immediately.

When the peacekeeping force’s headquarters heard the request for aid from the 79th armored battalion yesterday, it sent in eight FAH-91SP Peregrine Falcon choppers with four of the choppers equipped with the TB-AHD launch pads.

While the 79th armored battalion was fighting a fierce battle despite being outnumbered, 10 rounds of the TB-AHD missiles flew towards the middle of the enemy’s formation from the sky.

The TB-AHD set with a frequency and range started to go off and emitted sonar waves across all directions.

Some time passed, and the battlefield had gone silent. The tanks firing their 125mm guns and the armored vehicles launching their anti-tank missiles and 30mm Vulcan guns all stopped moving and came to a dead stop on the open field.

The 79th armored battalion started to subdue the enemy vehicles after they had been neutralized. The TB-AHD had allowed the 79th armored battalion to not suffer more casualties besides the initial one.

However, there was one critical issue. Since the devices were still being tested and not completed, they had destroyed some of the Iranian soldier’s neurons and killed them. The mood of the room was grim, despite the battalion’s overwhelming victory.

“How many Iranian soldiers were killed by the TB-AHD again?” Deputy Chairman Shin Sung-yong asked in a regretful tone after the briefing was over.

“It’s not an exact count, but based on our reports, 620 have died, sir.”

“Hmm, that’s no small amount.”

“Comrade chairman! Don’t trouble yourself too much. What difference would death by a tank round or that by the TB-AHD be at the battlefield make?”

General Youn Gi-youn was not wrong. The battlefield was a place where one had to kill or be killed; what difference would the means make.

“Ha ha, that’s right. What I am concerned about is the fact that a weapon developed to be non-lethal did not do its job properly and the president canceling the authorization to use the device.”

“Hmm, I suppose you have a point.”

When the joint chief of staff requested the use of TB-AHD to the president, she allowed it under the condition of a thorough report about the device and the results be made to her.

As the chairman had feared, that afternoon, the president had canceled the authorization to use the TB-AHD until the device could be perfected.

The North State, a building at Pyeong-yang, Yongsung-ku (the Foreign Intelligence Unit 1’s hideout)

The three agents anxiously turned on the TV, concerned about their actions from yesterday being reported on the morning news. Luckily, nothing about what they did the night before came on the news.

“That’s a relief. We were worried for nothing! He he he,” Nam Sang-tae poked Goo Sang-sik on the side while laughing.

“Hey, what are you all smiling about?” Nam Sang-won glanced at them with a suspicious look on his face as he got out of the bathroom.

“It’s nothing, sir. There was something funny on the news.”

“The news? What’s there to laugh about on the news? Wait! Did you idiots sneak out somewhere last night?”

“What are you talking about, sir? We got yelled at by Comrade Goo and went back to bed.”

Goo Sang-sik waved his hands and denied everything.

“God, something smells fishy. Did you guys really…”

“Comrade Nam, the captain wants you in the meeting room,” as Nam Sang-won attempted to question them further, Oh Gil-soo came up and shouted. Nam Sang-won glared at Goo Sang-sik and Oh Gil-soo once again and went downstairs.

“Whew! That was close.”

Goo Sang-sik and Nam Gyu-tae stared at each other and sighed in relief.
