John: Hey, do you remember that old abandoned house on the outskirts of town?
Jane: Yeah, why?
John: I heard that some teenagers went in there last night and never came back out.
Jane: What? That’s insane!
John: I know, right? I heard that they went in to explore and they never came back. The police searched the place and found no trace of them.
Jane: That’s so creepy. I’ve always been too scared to go near that place.
John: Me too. But, I’m not scared anymore. I want to go in there and see for myself what happened to those kids.
Jane: Are you crazy? That place is haunted! You don’t want to mess with that kind of stuff.
John: Come on, Jane. I’ve been wanting to do this for years. I need to know what’s in there.
Jane: I don’t know, John. This sounds like a bad idea.
John: Please, Jane. I need you to come with me. I’ll feel a lot better if you’re there with me.
Jane: Alright, I’ll go with you. But, I’m not staying in there for very long.
John and Jane arrived at the abandoned house and slowly pushed open the front door. The musty smell of old, damp wood filled their nostrils as they cautiously made their way inside.
John: Do you hear that?
Jane: Hear what?
John: It sounds like footsteps.
Jane: Oh my god, John. Let’s get out of here.
John: Wait, listen. It sounds like it’s coming from upstairs.

Jane: No, John. This is a bad idea. We need to leave.
John: Not yet. We need to see what’s up there.
Jane reluctantly followed John up the stairs. The footsteps grew louder with each step they took. When they reached the top of the stairs, the footsteps stopped.
Jane: What’s happening? Why did the footsteps stop?
John: I don’t know. Let’s keep moving.
As they entered the room at the end of the hallway, they noticed a figure standing in the corner. It was a woman dressed in ragged clothes, with long tangled hair and a face that looked like it had been through a war.
Jane: Who are you? What are you doing here?
The woman didn’t respond. She simply stood there, staring at them with cold, lifeless eyes.
John: Let’s get out of here.
Jane: Wait, John. Look, she’s holding something.
John: What is it?
Jane: It looks like a journal.
John: Let’s take it with us and leave.
As they reached for the journal, the woman lunged at them with a loud scream. They bolted down the stairs and out of the house, never looking back.
John and Jane eventually opened the journal and discovered that the woman was once a resident of the house. She had been driven insane by the horrors she had witnessed and was trapped in the house for all eternity.
Jane: We need to burn this journal. We don’t want anyone else to suffer the same fate as that woman.
John: Agreed. This house and its secrets need
