After getting out of the taxi, Clara walked slowly into a deserted area of the garden, then sat down on a white long chair. She was silent with a blank stare at the surrounding where there were flowers and green grass neatly planted. The woman who was trapped was slowly shedding tears because she was tired of what she had to do.
'Why . . . Why is that car there and it's been in a locker in Los Angeles before? Shouldn't Oskar have investigated the car, I remember very well the time Ben panicked because the brakes on the car weren't working at all? There must have been a reason but why it wasn't revealed at all and the car had changed ownership instead.' Clara wondered. 'Could it be that everything has been uncovered and either Oskar or Uncle have found the answer as to why the car's brakes failed? I'd better call Michael to make sure.'
Clara reached into her small bag for her phone. She immediately contacted Michael via the Instagram app as she did not have his contact number.
"Hello, Clara. You don't usually call me," Michael said over the phone.
Clara was silent with a faint smile. For some reason, hearing Michael's voice was like cold water to her, made her feel a little relieved and her anger started to subside. She began to miss her lover, who at this time she knew that he was still faithful to take care of her body, which was still lying weak in the infirmary.
"Eh, I….I just wanted to know about Casey's condition," she said a little nervously.
"She's still the same as before," Michael said, sounding languid. "But I will never stop praying for her, asking the doctors to keep her alive."
"Eh...that's good...You have to stay by her side because in the past when we met and talked, she often said that she wanted to always be near you. After all, all her life since childhood she always felt lonely," said Clara, holding back tears. So deep sadness hit her heart, remembering that since childhood she had not had the opportunity to be spoiled with her parents, and when she grew up, only Michael, her uncle, and aunt always relied on her.
"I know... She had bad luck since childhood even now...I promise I will make her very happy when she wakes up... I will marry her immediately," Michael said sounding very serious.
Clara wiped her tears, imagining and wishing and even regretting the current situation. If she had stayed as Casey, she would have been very pleased with Michael's words. But she didn't know if she could return to her body, didn't know if she could live any longer after those 88 days had passed.
"Hello, Clara... Are you still there?" Michael asked.
"Eh.. yes." Clara snapped back out of her daydream. "Eh, did you know about the development regarding Casey's accident? I mean, is it clear what caused the accident?"
"Yes, and the police who were sent by Oskar to handle the problem said that this was purely an accident due to the negligence of the driver," explained Michael.
"Was... because of the driver's negligence?"
"Yeah ... it was explained that the car was in a very fast condition and it was possible that the driver lost control and there was an accident," Michael explained again. "If the driver was still alive I would lesson because he was the cause of this accident so Casey is like this!"
Clara fell silent with a strange and confusing feeling after hearing Michael's explanation. she remembers very well the time before the accident, Ben wasn't driving the car at very high speed, and suddenly the brakes failed.
"Michael, are you sure about the investigation? Do you think it all makes sense? Could it be since the accident was caused by a failed brake?" Clara tries to give a grid. She can't possibly say that she knew at the time the brakes failed because now she is Clara. Huh, she was furious at this condition. 'If I had stayed in my body and not been in a coma, I would certainly have testified that at that moment the brakes suddenly failed. What a damn thing I'm trapped in this body!' She was annoyed.
"There's no evidence of brake failure, and it could be because the damn driver was sleepy or drunk or in an unstable state," Michael said then sighed. "We don't need to be able to predict and prevent tragedy from happening. Maybe this was all fate, and I wanted Casey to wake up rather than keep guessing about the cause of the accident. For me, the evidence already given by the police is enough."
"Do you believe in the evidence?" Clara asked disappointed.
"Of course. The police have investigated it several times according to Oskar and her Uncle's request, and the result is still the same," Michael replied then continued to say, "sorry, now I have to continue my work. we can talk another time..."
"Okay," Clara said quietly, and then the call ended. The woman took a deep breath, returned to silence with a confused feeling because the facts she just got were so confusing. "Are the police so stupid that they didn't know the car had brake damage?"
"They're not stupid," someone said from behind Clara.
Clara looked back, seeing Arion coming up to her casually. The mysterious man who always gave her the grating immediately sat beside her and glanced at her with a smile.
"Do you know anything about that car?" She asked.
"I don't know but you can investigate again. If you feel that the brakes of the car are faulty, then do a re-investigation," Arion exclaimed.
"But Nathan didn't agree," Clara said angrily. "Turns out he doesn't care about Casey, that means he doesn't care about me. It's annoying because I always take care of his feeling and always make him comfortable so he doesn't get sad, but it turns out it's the one who doesn't understand my wishes."
"That's normal because he doesn't know that you're not the real Clara."
"I'm sure if I keep insisting on asking him to help me investigate this case, he'll get angry, then I'll get emotional and everything will get messy and won't be resolved within the time you set!" said Clara in annoyance." Upset, pain, emotion, even disappointment you will always face. You have to prepare yourself to be a patient person from now on because you have to be strong for the continuation of your missions," said Arion then glanced at the ants walking near his feet towards a small hole..."You have to look at the ants. They stay strong and patient when they build nests or look for food, and they are accidentally disturbed by human activities or humans deliberately disturb them..they remain patient and keep trying to survive and fulfill the mission of the queen of ants," he continued.
"And I'm not an ant."
Arion glanced at Clara in horror. "After all, who said that you are just an ant? I'm just giving an example so that you, as a human being who has greater intellect and abilities than ants, don't just give up. After this there are still 87 days left, use that time well instead of just venting emotions like this."
"Okay, okay ..." Clara nodded her head. "I'm going to think hard because I have sense because you also never gave me any help. You're just giving me a grid and making me more confused."
"And because you are confused you will find out what happened," said Arion.
"Yes," said Clara curtly and then stood up. She looked back at Arion in annoyance for not understanding her feelings, then immediately left him alone. Hmm... where else is he going?
