In a private cinema, which was dark and the only light shone from the monitor screen, Nathan sat relaxed on the couch with Clara, who was lying down using his lap to support her head. Sometimes he refresh his wife's hair, touches her smooth face, then kisses her and returns to focus on watching movies.
"Could there be such a man in this world?" Clara asked when she saw the scene of Michael Hosea, played by Tom Lewis, who was meeting Angel, played by Abigail Cowen, who returned to the world of prostitution because she felt she was not perfect as a wife because she couldn't have children. "He is very gentle and patient….how can he accept his wife who has made love to another man," she continued in surprise.
"Because Michael's love for Angel is very sincere, and he wants Angel to believe in God, believe that nothing is impossible and God always listens to her prayers," Nathan answered calmly.
"How lucky is that woman named Angel."
Nathan sighed, his hand casually grabbed Clara's left hand and touched it gently. His gaze was fixed on the mini cinema screen, showing the scene of Michael Hosea riding a horse cart with Angel.
"Indeed, anyone will feel lucky if feels grateful to have a love that can be achieved, as I am always grateful and feel lucky because I have you," he said.
Clara smiled faintly. "Is that true?"
"Yeah…how big of a mistake you made, how big the obstacles we face, I will still love you until the end of my life," Nathan said, then kissed Clara's hand.
"But what if I leave you because of God, because I don't live long, will you still make me your only love? Aren't you going to try to love another woman?" Clara wondered.
Nathan fell silent for a moment, looking at Clara in disappointment.
Clara turned her head, looking at Nathan who was silent with a flat look at her. "Why? Did I say something wrong?"
"Do you want to frighten me again... Make me afraid that something like that suddenly happened that night? Suddenly you are critical and will die?" Nathan asked back in annoyance.
Clara sat up, looked at Nathan who was instantly angry. Even her husband got up from the couch and walked out of the room. She immediately followed him until he stopped near a glass wall that showed the outside of the building.
"I don't really like talking about death, because it's like a ticking time bomb in my life that I can't escape, but I can't even imagine it," Nathan said with his gaze directed outside the building.
Clara fell silent, feeling guilty for choosing the wrong topic of conversation. 'I think you have to prepare yourself because I'm not always in your wife's body,' she thought sadly.
"You never think how much I was afraid of losing you before the poisoning incident that night, even after that incident I never slept well..guilt always haunts me," Nathan said then turned to look at Clara sadly.
"Even now I'm not calm because of your strange attitude...I don't know what's on your mind, I don't know what makes you delirious mentioning Michael's name even though you've always focused on me. I thought, I thought you were overthinking Casey's matter, but why are you delirious with his name? you're thinking about Casey or him?" Nathan finally revealed all the troubles he'd been complaining about since last night. "And now you're wondering about what I would be like if you weren't around? What does all that mean, Clara?"
Clara didn't know what to say because she didn't even realize that she had been delirious about mentioning Michael's name.
Drettt... Drettt...
Finally, a phone ringing caught Nathan's attention. he immediately grabbed the sophisticated thing from his trouser pocket, then walked the other way away from Clara while answering the call.
Clara sighed, then sat down on the couch. She was silent, thinking hard about what to explain to Nathan.
'I also don't know why I can go delirious by mentioning Michael's name, I also don't know last night my heart ached so much because I kept thinking about him ... I didn't think it would be a problem even though Nathan was already looking happy and being very sweet,' she thought confusedly.
Elsewhere, Liora was sitting in a monochrome cafe with a man who was dashing and very well-dressed, making him look dignified.
"Felix, you have to make a report that you found this poison in Nathan's secretarial room," Liora exclaimed while handing a small plastic bottle to the man who turned out to be Felix, the person Nathan had sent to investigate the poison case.
Felix received the small bottle in the plastic then immediately put it in the pocket of his black coat.
"Isn't Nathan's secretary a beautiful single girl?" asked Liora who looked relaxed and youthful, wearing black pants combined with a white top and a gray blazer and letting her hair loose.
"So you want to scapegoat Paulina?" Felix asked who already knew the name of Nathan's secretary.
"Yeah, it's to clear my name from the suspicion of Nathan and his family, because since then they've been very unfriendly to me," explained Liora curtly.
Felix sighed, then leaned his back against the shoulder of the chair. "Alright... I can arrange everything but..."
"You don't have to worry about getting paid," Liora exclaimed then grabbed her phone from her maroon branded bag on the table. She opened the mobile banking application, then opened her bank account. "You write down your account number, I will send the money to you right now," she continued handing the phone to Felix.
"Can I also write the nominal as I like too?" Felix asked while reaching for the gold-colored phone.
"Yeah," said Liora.
Felix smiled faintly then immediately wrote down his account number and the amount of money he wanted. Sometimes he glanced at Liora who was now drinking juice, then immediately returned the phone when he had finished entering his account number.
Liora instantly widened her eyes when she saw the nominal that Felix wanted. She looked at the traitor man with a sharp gaze, even her brow furrowed.
"Felix, do you want to drain my money?" She asked.
"The nominal is not much with the risk that I have to bear if this betrayal is known by Mr. Nathan," Felix said casually. "If you feel object to that nominal then I can't help you and maybe now I can tell Mr. Nathan that you poisoned Clara," he continued a little softly.
"Felix, are you trapping me?" Liora asked annoyed.
"I'm not setting you up, ma'am..but I just took advantage of the situation, because I'm not stupid," Felix replied casually then drank his juice.
Liora was silent, feeling very annoyed because she was trapped. She had no other choice but to send money as Felix wanted, which turned out to be very cunning.
"I sent it," she said curtly.
"Then I will carry out this task very neatly so that Nathan does not suspect you anymore . . but don't you ever come near me or see me when I'm in Nathan's family, because that could make me lose my trust in him and everything will be messed up," Felix exclaimed then got up from the chair. "Now I have to go ..."
Liora was only silent, let Felix leave the cafe. there was regret in her heart that she had given so much money to the man but also a relief because after this she would not be suspected by Nathan anymore, and maybe she could continue her mission to get rid of the plague or keep Nathan from avoiding Patricia. She is a real snake woman....
