Chapter 68: Caring

At 1 am, Nathan had arrived at his mansion. He immediately entered the room and saw Clara who immediately woke up when she noticed his arrival. The man looked weak and then sat on the bed while taking off his leather jacket.

"Where are you from?" asked Clara as she sat up.

"I followed Erick, he is the person I sent to take care of the case about Casey's accident. but when I got there, he wasn't there and I continued to search with the bodyguards until I found him in the forest with a body that was injured from the persecution, there was even a knife stuck in his stomach," Nathan explained by bending his face.

Clara paused for a moment, swallowing her saliva. 'Could this be all Oskar and Uncle Robert's doing? How cruel they were… what was the reason for doing all this? That means it's those who have done me harm too….they don't want to be found out to harm the person investigating the case?'

"The results of the investigation are disappeared," Nathan said, breaking Clara's thoughts.

"Disappear?" Clara pretended to be surprised even though she knew that Fabrizio still had the evidence.

Me: Do you know about what happened to my husband's confidant? Are you also in danger because of this? Did the police and Oskar know that you have the results of the investigation? please answer immediately!

After successfully sending the message, Clara fell silent not knowing what else to do. She couldn't even sleep, because her brain seemed to be forced to think hard about the problem.

'Ugh, I even forgot to take Frederica's hair. maybe tomorrow I can do it before she leaves,' she thought.

Nathan, who had finished changing, came over to Clara. He lay beside his wife then hugged her very tightly and kissed her fragrant hair.

"When I'm dizzy, tired, hugging like this will make me comfortable," he said then kissed Clara's cheek. "You're my best place," he continued.

Clara fell silent with the comfortable feeling of the hug. She glanced at Nathan who now closed his eyes with a slight smile, making him look so charming. But it made her think of Michael who might not feel comfortable, even frustrated because he was waiting for her.

'Could it be that he's still often drunk out of frustration? Or has he gone back to normal and is now at my house? Hopefully not always close to Mia.' Cara said to herself, then tilted her position so her back was to Nathan who fell asleep immediately.

'Hopefully tomorrow he won't notice that I cut his hair a bit,' Clara thought.
