Chapter 85: Guessing

Jane saw Mia who had just entered the house go straight to the room, then glanced at Michael who went straight into Casey's room. The middle-aged woman who wore black pants combined with a maroon top was also surprised because her daughter came home with her nieces' lover after a night's stay somewhere. Of course that made her feel suspicious because lately, her daughter was also close to her nieces' lover.

Curious about where Mia had been last night, Jane cleans up upstairs to Mia's room.

Jane entered the room, saw Mia lying with her legs dangling on the edge of the bed while playing with her phone. She approached her daughter who looked so happy because she smiled.

"Mia, why are you with Michael? What were you doing last night with him?" She asked.

"Mommy Don't think negatively... Last night I stayed at my friend's apartment, and it was close to Michael's apartment. That's why we went home together," Mia replied lying.

Jane sighed, then sat down beside Mia and looked at her suspiciously. "You don't get too close to Michael, because after all, he is Casey's lover. Don't let anything happen between you two because Mom doesn't want Casey to be sad, and suffer more."

"She will not suffer, because her life is not long either."

"Mia….What are you talking about?" Jane asked curiously.

"Not."

"I only relate if Michael wants me then I will not refuse. We will be together because Casey can't make him comfortable anymore," Mia replied then sat up. She looked at her mother who looked worried.

"Mama doesn't worry, isn't it better to take care of my feelings than Casey's?"

"Is there a chance that Michael does like you?" asked Jane with a probing look?

"Yeah, because Michael is a man who is very cold towards foreign women or women who are not used to being close to him….but now he's paying attention to me and it seems he's starting to take an interest in me because he started mentioning about romance," Mia explained casually, not wanting to hide her happiness.

Instantly Jane frowned, then patted Mia's thigh. "Mia... Don't be crazy...Michael wouldn't be yours at all. if Casey could still recover, it would hurt her to see you two together. Don't take it too much!"

"Ugh!" Mia glanced at Jane with a frown. "Why did mommy forbid me….It's up to me whether I want to respond to him or not, it's none of mom's business!"

"But he's Casey's lover!"

"But Casey's still in a coma, I don't think she'll be able to wake up again. So it's up to me whether I respond to Michael or not because Casey won't know...if she finds out it's also not a problem because it all depends on Michael!" Mia asserted then sat up. She got up from the bed then walked towards the bathroom, not wanting to hear any more lectures from her mother..'she always put Casey first, always wanted me to budge because Casey had no parents. This happens all the time and I feel unfair!'

Jane glanced at Mia who was very stubborn and selfish. she sighed, thinking what if Michael approached Mia and they got in touch, this must have destroyed the feelings of Casey who loved Michael so much.

After being escorted home by Nathan, Clara immediately approached Anthony who was drinking coffee at the security post with several other bodyguards. Antony immediately followed Clara with a little jog while reaching into the pocket of his black suit jacket to get his car keys. The dashing man who wore a black suit without wearing a tie preceded his employer to open the door of the silver luxury car, then let her in.

"Did you ever tell Nathan where you were taking me to?" Clara asked as she got into the car.

"No, ma'am. I never said anything to him if he didn't ask," answered Anthony with a slight bow of his head.

"Good."

Clara immediately got into the car and fastened her seatbelt, while Anthony closed the door again. after that she sent a message to Paulina to find out if they were waiting at the cafe or not.

At the cafe in the VVIP room where he used to meet Clara, Fabrizio sat side by side with Paulina who was eating steak. the man was silent as he read the results of the DNA test he and his girlfriend had just taken at the hospital. He frowned as if surprised by the results of the DNA test.

"Frederica is not Mr. Nathan's daughter," he said.

"Then why does Mrs. Clara have to do this DNA test? Or maybe Mr. Nathan has been accused of being the father of Frederica but this news has not reached the public? I also just found out about this matter" Paulina wondered while eating steak. she looks very elegant wearing a gray dress combined with a white fur jacket and let her hair down just like that, glancing at Fabrizio who also always looks dashing in blue jeans combined with a gray t-shirt and black leather jacket.

"I think this is also a big problem that has not been solved by Mr. Nathan because Mrs. Clara chose to do this in secret," said Fabrizio thoughtfully.

"We'll find out, and maybe it's easy because we just need to know who Patricia is close to...We can discuss this with Mrs. Clara later," said Fabrizio, then drank the wine cocktail that was on the table.

Paulina sighed, glancing at Fabrizio who never got tired of thinking. "There are too many problems to solve...I feel sorry for you ... you can't seem to enjoy your life," he said.

"And it will be more pity if I can't solve the problem," said Fabrizio, then smiled at the sweet Paulina. "You don't have to worry about me, because I feel like I'm enjoying life by being with you. You are my best place," he continued.

Paulina blushed and lowered her head. the girl was always shy when Fabrizio's dark eyes focused on her as if they could undermine her faith....
