Chapter 90: Mia's Whisper

San Francisco 7 pm

Nathan was standing while combing his hair in a spiky style. He looks neat in an all-black outfit combined with a white jacket, black shoes, and sprays citrus-scented perfume on his dashing body.

Feeling that his appearance was neat, Nathan moved into the walk-in closet. He walked over to Clara, who was selecting the shoes that were available in the see-through wardrobe with a white frame. his wife already looks beautiful by wearing a black knee-length dress combined with the first cream-colored coat, leaving her hair loose and wearing light make-up.

"Wear shoes that cover all your feet because the weather is very hot tonight," Nathan shouted.

"Hmm," said Clara then grabbed black high heels and quickly put them on. After that, she took a black branded bag which did not contain the most important things to be carried, then immediately left the room followed by Nathan.

Clara and Nathan walked hand in hand towards the exit of the room until they crossed the stairs, gazing at the atmosphere of the mansion which was so grand but very quiet. the residence seemed to be short of occupants due to its large size, while only Nathan and Clara occupied with the maids, drivers, and bodyguards.

'This mansion is so majestic it would even be scary to be here alone. I can't imagine how it would be Nathan feel so lonely when this body died,' she thought.

"I'm really curious about what that guy named Fabrizio is going to talk about," Nathan muttered as he reached the ground floor.

"Hopefully that's a good thing and lets us know who's a danger to Casey," Clara said as they continued to walk hand in hand with Nathan as they crossed the living room.

"And if there is someone close to her who deliberately wants to hurt her, I will take her from the house and then just make her treated in the hospital."

Clara smiled faintly at Nathan. "You care about her so much, much more than her boyfriend," she said.

"Why do you say that, don't you know that her lover always comes to accompany her?" asked Nathan.

"But I think her lover doesn't care anymore," said Clara, remembering her accidental meeting with Michael this afternoon. "He looks like he's blooming..he doesn't seem like a sad man because his lover is in a coma. I don't know what made him like that."

"Maybe he's trying to stay optimistic."

"And what's worse is, he's not in the mood to investigate Casey's accident case..he simply trusted the police who did the previous investigation, then he allowed this case to be closed by Oskar. And Oskar also looks so relaxed, like he's not sad about this even though he's Casey's cousin.".

Clara said flatly, feeling sick to the thought of Oskar's face.

Nathan sighed. "If he doesn't care about Casey, maybe this is a sign that he's just not the right guy for him..but maybe he didn't care about the accident case because he wanted to focus on her recovery, wanted to spend time with her and didn't want to bother thinking. It could be said that he is affectionate but lazy."
