Standing in a hospital gown Kei gazed at himself through a large mirror in the room. When he woke up 2 days ago and found out that he had been delivered to a hospital and everything indeed wasn't a dream. His anger had once again flared up and he had become livid resulting in an act of violent screaming to vent.
He had truly died. And was now reincarnated into someone else's body.
He sighed as he stared at his reflection. Something he found himself doing more often then he'd like to admit these past few days. This new face of his was very eye catching. But right now he couldn't be bothered with such things just yet. As there were more important things to tend to.
Turning away from the mirror, he had already decided to leave this place today and head towards his new home. The little amount of time he spent resting in the hospital was enough for him to regulate himself with his new memories. They weren't much but they were just enough to get by.
He easily learned that his name was Haru Suzuki and he was a Japanese student for X University in Hong Kong. He also worked 2 jobs to support both him and his acholic parent of father who was a dead beat, with gambling problems. And an absent mother that had left him a long time ago.
And so for years Haru had raised himself and taken care of everything he needed with no help from a family member or a friend.
Therefore as an born orphan in his past life, Kei found no issue with any of this. In early age he had quickly concluded that there were some people just born lucky with loving families while others weren't. And him and Haru unfortunately fell within the latter.
What was worse. Having a family that wasn't there or having none at all? Kei would now, ironically experience both.
Switching out of his hospital gown to the clothes he wore yesterday that at presently were now dry. Kei quickly grabbed his bag and left the room to check out at the front desk. Once he was done with that, he used the little money he had on hand and took a cab straight home. Entering a dingy apartment that smelled of mold and dust. Decorated with large amounts of trash bags, cigarette buds and liquor bottles splattered all out within the living room and kitchen. The entire place screamed poorness.
But it wasn't something Kei Yun couldn't handle. Stepping over the mess, he walked towards his room and threw his bag on his bed before closing his door and locking it. Checking the timer on his dresser that read 1:24 pm he walked over to the little desk in the corner and sat down picking up an old generational touch phone. With a screen that was terribly cracked and had yet to be fix.
And so far based off what Kei had gathered from his new profound memories; the youth was deathly poor.
And because of that it was quite surprising that Haru could even afford a phone in the first place, as all the money he made went towards school, rent and his father's nasty habits.
'Eh, what a waste.'
Moving forward, Kei Yun would no longer be supporting his father's addictions. That man from now on was on his own in that department.
With a sigh he tossed the phone back on the desk, realizing that it was completely dead and there was no charger in sight for him to use.

'Okay...'
He needed information about his current situation. Was his death in the news? Or was his body even discovered?
He needed answers and he wasn't going to find them here. He sighed as he slowly scanned his current bedroom his gaze abruptly stopping on a very conspicuous poster in the room.
He got up and stood in front of it, carefully examining the huge poster from head to toe for a long while. Before narrowing his eyes at the man within the poster who appeared foreign, possessing mixed blooded features of one who was half Chinese and half European. Yet besides the vague feeling of familiarity he got from staring at the man, Kei had never in fact seen this person before now.
But it was obvious that they were a big time celebrity. And the past owner of his current body was a fan of them. However that didn't mean that he too was a fan.
And so Kei Yun didn't hesitate to tear down the poster, roughly kneading it into a ball before throwing it into the trash can next to him. He would never be a fan of any celebrity. He couldn't even if he tried to.
Walking over to the closet he rummaged through it for a long time. Searching for some decent clothing that wasn't a college uniform, or old and shabby. Taking off the uniform he had on he casually put on a light black windbreaker, skinny jeans that were also black and a pair of beige high-top converses.
Fortunately, the original owner had good taste and would time to time buy something nice for himself.
Thoroughly circling the the room for a bit he soon found a wallet that surprisingly wasn't old like everything else in the room. And inside sat several thousand yuan bills. Translating that to USD dollars he had around 700$. Enough to buy a new working phone and anything else he needed.
It was obvious that the money he had was savings but Kei figured he'd use it as he would soon make more money in the future.
Unhurriedly putting the wallet in his pocket he grabbed his keys from his bag and quickly left.
Kei Yun was wearing casual clothing, yet without purposely wanting to, he had received many stares from people passing by. From the moment he left his apartment to when he stood at the intersection, waiting for the right away. Both teens and adults continued to look at him in awe.
His facial features were indeed, truly eye-catching.
