Chapter 4: Section I – The Underdark

Most Tentacle Monsters are native to dungeons, underground ruins, and abandoned tunnels, commonly known as The Underdark.

They seem to favour darkness and abundance of water, which seemingly helps with their sensitive skin.

They are certainly native to The Hollow, the largest dungeon system ever discovered, spreading beneath the entirety of Masnadia, Idira and Ostrea, but have been found in other cavern systems all over the world.

This first section of this book deals with the most common types, those you could expect to meet at least once per sortie. Most of these belong to the smaller categories and they are not to be considered an overwhelming foe for the expert, prepared (and learned!) Adventurer.

As this would be the most useful section to the vast majority of readers, monsters have been sorted by their average rate of occurrence in the wild, not by their threat level!
