"Shit! You son of a b*tc* Locke. I'm gonna make you sorry you ever betrayed us."
We were the first to betray you.
He left me too. Are you crazy?
Shut up!
Three adventurers were quarreling in a carriage on the way from the commercial city of Willy to the dungeons of the New Green.
In Isaac's mind, it was as if he had been bitten by the dog that had been taking care of him.
But somewhere in his heart, he did not want to admit that Locke had actually been useful.
Isaac was very impatient.
He was proud of the fact that he was the one who had brought Graela up to the S rank in just three years. He had always been in front of the enemy's attackers, taking their attacks, and cutting them down.
He never saw what Locke was doing in the back.
Isaac's impression was that he was just a baggage handler.
Without a holy beast, a holy beast user is nothing but a burden.
There are plenty of support members who can replace them.
I couldn't understand why he was in an S-class party as a baggage handler, even if he was just a childhood friend. I thought that in order to be a better party, we needed to be more aggressive.
And yet .......
"I'm never going to collect the Orengo eggs," he said.
"I don't want to fight the rainbow dragonflies if I can help it."
"I know. You don't have to collect all of them. We'll mainly target the wyverns. He's got less baggage than we do, so there's no way we're going to lose if we play our cards right."
"Isaac, I hate it when you talk over me like that. Why do you have to be so superior?
"Because Kara can't do anything."
What? You've done nothing but abandon your friends. You accept requests from the guild without checking them out, and you make people members of your party without asking. Emmy and I are just helping you. When this is over, we're done."
"Do what you want. In exchange, I'll be in charge until this job is done.
The party was losing cohesion.
Sir, you can't go any further into the new green dungeon!
The leader called out to the party.
The only way to the fresh green dungeon was on foot.
With money to spare, I pushed the coachman to take me as close to the dungeon as possible.
I'll get to the dungeon as fast as I can and accomplish my task before Locke does.
"Thanks. Keep the change.
"Sir, this isn't enough."
You're a greedy son of a b*tc*, and it's a privilege to have an S-class party on board.
I don't care what class they are, whether they pay well or not.
Isaac has no choice. Isaac takes out the new money and hands it over.
It's Locke's fault that even this guy makes fun of him.
Isaac's anger at Locke grows with each passing incident.
Half a day's walk later, Isaac and his friends arrived at the New Green Dungeon.
It was a place where he had almost botched a job in the past.
He thought he'd never come back to this dungeon again, but now it's all Locke's fault.
My anger grows stronger and stronger.
Nothing I do seems to work.
"We're only after the wyvern at the far end. We'll collect the rest on the way back if we can."
Emmy and Kara do not reply.
Not so long ago at the party, it would have been impossible for them not to respond.
Friends from childhood, friends who had grown up together since they were small, they had always made up when they fought.
But now there was a rift that could never be mended.
"Why don't you at least answer me? f*ck you."
Isaac leads the way.
There were very few monsters in the dungeon.
We saw rainbow dragonflies everywhere in the plains where we had seen them the last time we were here, and we did not see any in the swamps where the green frogs were.
The orengo were visible, but they were not laying eggs.
Isaac started to laugh more and more.
"Kkkkkkk ...... hahahahaha! The guild members did not even check the details of the request. There's no way they can retrieve what's not there. I'm going to have to go back and pursue them for making such a shitty request.
Isaac was also angry with the guild.
Normally, the guild would check the spawning season and the inhabiting monsters to some extent before submitting a request. If they failed to do so, the guild was at fault.
As we proceeded through the dungeon, we were now faced with goblin hordes.
Goblins are not worth money to kill, but it is unpleasant to be attacked from a long distance after you are tired of hunting wyverns, so you have to destroy them first.
It's as if I'm getting over something I've been doing.
But the goblins were not the only ones getting hit.
The goblin knight's laughter irritates Isaac even more.
His attacks on Isaacs are not fatal, but the scrapes are getting worse little by little, which makes Isaacs' sword even duller.
I had been able to kill this little fish with a single shot.
There was no way that I, an S-class party member, would stumble at a place like this.
I was getting impatient, but it was Emmy who remained calm.
"Stand down, Isaac! "Flaming Spear!"
A spear appeared in the air and pierced the goblin knight's chest.
Isaacs slashes at the Goblin Knight, who stops moving.
His sword feels a little heavier since he left Locke, but still, hunting goblins is a piece of cake. It doesn't matter how many goblins there are.
That's what I thought.
I don't know. In fact, I could have been told that it was more the power of the locks that was in my way. But Isaac did not have the capacity to accept that right away.
The speed with which Isaac had climbed to the S level in just three years did not allow his mind to grow.
He believes that this competition is a test for the guild to prove its power.
How could he possibly struggle at the level of a goblin knight?
Isaacs and his team managed to defeat the goblins and made it to the wyvern horde.
"You're so sloppy. Here, let me heal you before you fight the wyverns."
Kara heals Isaac.
It's an abrasion, but it seems to be healing slowly.
"We're going to ...... no, it's nothing. Let's just kill the wyvern and get back to the guild.
No one answered his voice.
There were quite a few of them in the wyvern dwellings.
"Emmy, I'm going to go in there, and when the wyvern jumps up, you punch its wings out, and I'll finish it off when it's weakened by the fall."
"Okay."
Isaac slashes at the wyvern.
Of course, the wyvern avoids Isaac's attack, and Isaac's attack flies through the air.
Emmy then fires a fire arrow at the wyvern, which jumps up.
The fire arrow hits the wyvern's wings and flames shoot up.
Isaac slashes at the falling wyvern.
Isaac felt a definite response.
I can do this.
"Okay, let's move on."
Isaac tried to slash at the wyvern again, but the wyvern had already taken off and was aiming at Isaac and the others.
Isaac's lack of hate makes Kara and Emmy the targets of the wyvern.
"Isaac! You better protect us!"
Emmy's magic strikes down the wyverns, but their numbers are outnumbered.
"You're on your own."
What?
Emmy, let's get out of here!
Kara pulls Emmy with her and runs away.
"d*mn it, you guys betrayed us too!"
Isaac's surrounded by wyverns.
"Okay, okay. I'll make sure they all fail."
Isaac's body explodes with magic.
Grand cross.
Light and loud explosions echoed through the dungeon.
