Chapter 3: Recognition

Getting suited up for my match with Saeko I started thinking about the potential love interests I want to pursue. 'Since I've gotten reincarnated I might as well as live a life without regret and do what I like right?' Kira thought. *sigh* I'll think about this later. Once I was done putting on the outfit and armor I started to make my way to Saeko. Walking towards her I noticed that she was staring at me as if checking me out so I decided to tease her.

Kira: "Oya, the heiress of the Busujima clan is checking me out, I'm flattered".

*Ding*

[-Saeko Busujima: Affection +7]

'Huh? I almost forgot about the partner function from the system. I'll check the function out later.' Kira muttered. 

There was a big blush on her face as she turned her head away from me. Before she could respond though I asked if she was ready for the match. As I said this she began calming herself down for the upcoming match. As we were about to start I decided to make the match a little more interesting. 

Saeko: "Hey Kira, let's make this match more interesting with a little wager."

Kira: "Hmmm.. Ok what's the wager" I smiled.

Saeko: "Losers have to do whatever favor the winner wishes as long as it doesn't clash with their morals or code."

Kira: "Ok, but I'm curious what you want to use your favor on if you happen to win?"  

Saeko: "Ara, you make it sound like you've already won" as she got into her stance.

Kira: " Haha I never said it was decided that I would win but I suggest for you to go all out from the beginning if you don't want to lose that is."

After I said this the match began, increasing the distance between us. Saeko slowly began to circle around me looking for any opening or weaknesses to use to her advantage. For about 30 seconds she continued to check for any flaws until at one point she began to sharply attack Kira.

A quick vertical slash to the head was met with a hard block. Blows after blows were being continuously thrown at Kira but were met with serious defense. The blows flew at him and they were either dodged perfectly or blocked. But this did not confuse Saeko on the contrary, seeing that the opponent copes with her blows with ease, she started increasing  the pressure of her blows. Faster and faster. Until at one point she was doing her absolute best. 

*Ding*

Realizing this her fighting spirit fluttered and her competitive spirit was set ablaze. Without realizing it she started smiling sincerely during the fight. As the fight progressed Kira started to get more on the offensive side forcing Saeko to go defensive. A quick diagonal slash to the head was narrowly avoided by Saeko, as Kira then did a vertical slash downwards making her stumble a bit to deliver the final blow to her foot, making her fall over declaring Kira as the winner.

As Saeko was tired from pushing herself, Kira gently took the shinai away from Saeko and got her a water bottle from a nearby vending machine. As he walked back in there was a deathly silence in the dojo, which was broken by Saeko's deep breathing. 

Her chest rose and fell in time with her rapid breathing. It looked pretty sexy, but she was too tired to notice it. Taking off her helmet, Saeko with a face flushed from sparring and a beaming smile said "I lost but I learned a lot from this match. Thank you Kira."

*Ding*

[Saeko Busujima: Affection +21]

Smiling, I gave her the water bottle and said "it's been a while since I've gotten to practice this well with someone." 

Saeko: Is this a good fight? I couldn't even get you to be serious.

Kira: No you couldn't make me serious but that doesn't mean you can't improve your skill and strength. I'm not saying this to comfort you since this might be an insult to a warrior like you but it's just a fact. Even so you still did great and as an apology for my rude remarks all I can offer you is daily workouts with me

Saeko: I wasn't offended by you, Kira. But joint training is great. To be honest I was going to suggest it myself, she said with a bright smile.

Kira: "Oh yeah since I won I got one request from you right", I said with a smile. As she was about to respond I said "I'll save this request for when I need it since I can't think of anything at this moment. She looked at me for a few seconds then sighed as she said "Alright but let's first get you registered then we can go back home since it's getting late."

After getting registered they separated and Kira returned home. After having dinner and taking a shower, he decided to check the other functions of his system since he was busy preparing himself for Z-day.

Kira: 'I see, so it's similar to the eroge affection meter back in my past life. So she considers me a friend. Also her stats are something a normal human could never achieve. It seems that during our match her skill with the sword upgraded as well. Her talent is enormous as expected of one of the main heroines. It's too bad that we can't advance our skills any further unless we fight stronger opponents.

Kira: 'Now let's see what the shop has to offer. Shop Menu'

When the shop opened I was flabbergasted by the items I saw in there. There were legendary and mythical weapons such as Durandal, Excalibur, Gungir, and Mjölnir. There were also a lot of other things such as elixirs, potions and grimoires as well. 

As I was scrolling through the items I started to think about what I should get vs what I want because I don't want to be over reliant on the system just in case it's ever taken away from me. So I want to be able to wield weapons, magic and knowledge myself without using the system. 

As I was about to start coming up with an idea for this problem I realized that it was getting late so I decided to get some beauty sleep before thinking about this problem.

Then I fell asleep

Master Busujima's dojo.

In a spacious room, a girl was lying on a bed. Her hair streamed down on the pillow, a satisfied smile was exhibited on her face, a dreamy look was fixed on the ceiling. All this suggests is that the girl is thinking something pleasant.

Saeko POV

It was INCREDIBLE! That drive! That power! God it was beautiful! For the first time I experienced such pleasure from a battle. My blood was literally boiling inside me. Although my father is a master of combat, he is already quite old and despite his skill he can no longer keep up with my speed.

And Kira could. He literally swallowed me up without a trace. His overwhelming power and blazing spirit. And the skills are higher than anyone else's I've ever fought.  Even then, two years ago when I provoked and broke the bones of the rapist. Even then I didn't feel such strong emotions.

God, I'm wet.

Kira POV

Waking up I saw that I had notifications from the system and when I checked it my mouth dropped. The affection points from Saeko went from 45 to 90(Budding Love). As I was thinking how this happened I remembered that Saeko is a sadist and that she loves battle. Thinking this I smiled. I can't say that I'm in love with her as this is the first time I met her but I am attracted to her. Getting up I took a shower, ate breakfast and started making my way to school.

While walking to school Kira began thinking about what to do if this is taken away. As he has been learning how to use his magic powers as well as martial arts by himself he already has a pretty good base for improvement if the system is ever taken away. Getting to the school he made his way towards the Kendo club ignoring all the stares and whispers coming from the students. 

Once he got there he saw Saeko meditating so he quietly went to the locker room and got changed. After a few minutes he came out of the locker room to see Saeko doing stretches. 

Kira: Working hard huh.

Saeko: Well I have to if I want to beat you she smiled.

Kira: Haha true no amount of natural talent trumps hard work, I smiled back. So are you ready for the training? Just to let you know before we spar we do physical training.

Saeko: I'm ready let's do it

Kira: Kukuku I hope you don't regret it.

(I won't be able to upload tomorrow since I have testing so I uploaded two chapters today)
