After reaching the outskirts of the forest, the carriage soon left towards a safer zone as Kaleen looked at us with a serious expression, unsheathing the sharp, golden spear on her back as she spun it around before pointing it downwards as dust exploded a second later.
“Make sure all your weapons are on hand,” she said as we one by one took out our weapons.
Mana grabbed her clean, wooden wand that was like a branch; Kate took out her thin lance that was metallic blue in color while Flora took out a breadstick and started munching on it as she looked at us with a tilt on her face.
“Are you not taking your weapon?” Kaleen looked at me as I shook my head.
“I usually use daggers that are manifested through mana as mine,” I replied before she looked at my hand, nodding as if she was looking at something.
After all of us were well-prepared, we soon took several deep breaths as we stared at the forest that was thick dark from the outside. There was little light entering inside the forest, and a thick fog surrounded it.
“Let’s go…” Kaleen instructed as we nodded, slowly moving inside the forest while taking caution as we looked around, listening to the sounds of nature as Kaleen swung her spear horizontally before blood spilled as a boar dropped down in front of us.
All of us were a bit surprised, not only because of the boar but also because she was able to see the boar coming despite the thick white fog that surrounded us. The fog was so thick that even my eyes couldn’t see properly.
“Want to hold hands?” Mana asked in a soft voice as her right hand bumped into mine. From the looks of it, she is also holding Flora’s hand from her left.
“That would be for the best,” I said before taking her hand as she smiled before we carried forward with Kaleen swinging her spear at intervals, raining blood from the forest as her eyes looked a bit bloodshot. It was as if she had turned into a different person.
All of a sudden, Kaleen stopped midway as she rose her left hand, signaling us to stop as I immediately looked at my mini map before a medium-sized red dot came into sight. The red dot was about the size of the tip of my index finger and was situated a few distances away from us.
“What do you think it is?” Kate asked as Kaleen’s eyes glowed white, staring into the distance as if she was peeking through the depths of everything before she spoke, “It’s a Justra Cobra…” before silence stood before us.
“How do you want to approach this?” I questioned before she turned towards our direction, looking at both Mana and me.
“Can you use a bow of some sort?” she asked while looking at me as I nodded before she continued, “I want you to prepare the hottest arrow you could, while the girl over there… Mana, right? I want you to enhance the arrow with a fire spell.”
“Wouldn’t it be dangerous considering this is a forest?” Mana interfered as she shook her head.

“I can handle the excess flames, it would be better to use an area of attack flame spell onto the location where the cobra is… considering that we don’t know if there are more than two of them, after all, these are creatures that don’t walk alone,” she replied, looking at Mana with a serious and determined look on her face.
She was calm, that was the most noticeable aspect. Her ability to think ahead in most situations while maintaining her calm is impressive, she had this amusing feel around her that was attractive… I don’t know why my eyes tend to look at her as if it was being dragged by a force.
“I see… then we will use your plan,” Mana said before looking at me as I nodded, opening up my terminal as I mumbled the word ‘Exalted’ before a white bow of crystallized mana appeared on my hand like spatial magic.
After grasping the bow, I soon pointed it towards where the mini-map indicated where the Justra Cobra was before grabbing the bowstring and pulling it as a white foggy arrow slowly appeared, followed by a whirlwind of mana that was being sucked from me.
After the window appeared, a crosshair appeared in front of me, pinned on a certain location at the top of a tree situated on the right. It was telling me to point in that certain direction, knowing that The Library suggested it, I followed it.
“I will be casting the spell now…” Mana said as I took a deep breath before the surroundings turned fiery hot as the white arrow that was like a whirlwind, turned bright fiery red as my heart started beating faster, staring at my mana points that was decreasing at a rate of 2 points per second.
“Fire…” Kaleen’s voice echoed as I released the bowstring before a blast of wind exploded towards us as the arrow vanished from my bow, flying towards the direction as a loud explosion blasted towards the direction, erasing the fog in an instant as a large black cobra with metallic black scales came to sight.
Not long after the cobra came into sight, a blast of flames exploded from its direction as the cobra looked at us with bright red eyes. We had underestimated the situation… it was not just a normal Justra Cobra…
“SH…! WEAPONS OUT!” Kaleen shouted as alarms rang inside my head as a loud howl echoed around the forest before several windows appeared in front of me.
“SSSSSHHHHH!” the cobra screamed as it looked at us with bloodshot eyes before dozens more red eyes surrounded us. It was a situation we never expected at all, almost like hell had descended for the first time… a hell filled with snakes.
“Mwama! Look, snakes!” Flora’s voice suddenly echoed throughout the forest as we looked at her surprised before her eyes glowed green as she stared at the snakes with an innocent smile.
All of us were speechless as we looked at Flora, who was innocently looking at the cobras as if she wants to cuddle them. Even the cobras looked at her with a shocked look on their face, the bloodshot look on their eyes vanished as they all tilted their heads.
“What is this situation…” I mumbled while looking at Flora, who seems to have activated some sort of passive skill she owns from being a Great Spirit of the Forest.
