Chapter 11: Ch10 Names

Magi wasn't exactly magic. It was the ability to do something which normal humans couldn't. Everybody could use most abilites, the question was where their affinity was. Some were more prone to use a kind of elemental magic. 

Some could rejuvanate, destroy materials, telekinese and so on. There were things harder to do and things easier.

To make a wall of earth was easier than to make a box float. All depending on the affinity and grade of mental state.

Several people instantly understood the earth element which was a big boon in Tania's perspective. Pond God wanted a wall? He could have it!

Within half an hour there was a wall encircling a land to the north-east. Some plqces to rest were built and a big plaza in the center.

When John woke up and saw a wall several meters high some hundred meters away from him he got confused. What happend?

"Human John, go and do something for me"

Several hundred people were walking towards Star Mountain. Mel sighed as he remember how he told said there would be 2-3000 people coming. In the end they were about 600.

He hoped that the god would be contend with it. He couldn't change it now.

John was standing before all the Monarchs except the bird, which was out in the sea at the moment. In his hand he held flaskes which contained the Origin Water. Pond gave him the mission to let them achieve a human form.

He didn't forget to instruct them via telepathy about their task after that. John feed them one by one and waited by the side. His job also included to give them some "human" sense.

A minute later the huge monsters began to transform before him. When he saw the three newcomers, he sighed.

Two males and one female. They all made clothes appear out of thin air on them. The wolf became a elegant looking mature men. The bear an old one with long hair. The beetle was what surprised him the most.

A little kid? At least it looked like it. 

"This feels...weird. Ohh..Ahhh.. so that's how human talk." Big wolf made some vocals and tried to experiment with his new ability.

"Ohoho I can finally shit talk you and you can understand me! You're a braindead walking disaster young wolf!" Bear always wanted to get his point known to wolf but even as they were all beast. It was hard  even exchange detailed things between the same races.

"You stop, both. God will angry. Go meet." The transformed beetle was the most normal one among them, except her way of talking.

John gulped and hoped that he will not be hit again today. Why did he have to do this? Tania was still here, she would be much better.

"Ehem, I greet you excellencies. Pond God instructed me to teach you some common knowledge and beha-" Bear put his hand on John which send him kiss the ground. The cultprit was shocked, I just touched him?

"You three, behave and listen to him. Afterwards I will task you with some things." Pond voices his displeasure with them, at least they weren't Big M.

Beetle heaved John up and patted the dirt away. "Pond God, not like dirt"

John was crying inside, what did he do to deserve that? If he knew what he said during his time unconscious and his wife heard. He would probably jump from the next cliff.

Half an hour later did the four of them enter the Holy Sanctuary Field. John made his way towards the walls to look for Tania and finally hug his wife and daughter!

The three Monarchs kneeled before the pond and awaited their order. At first they were sceptical to follow it. After they transformed to humans though, they knew what skills they unlocked. Their mission would be now much more easier. They could also finally tell the pond why they are all here.

"Hmm, you three, first you need names. Should I name you or do you want to give yourself one?" Pond knew that names were crucial for humans. He didn't know why but it would be weird to have no name.

The first to talk was the old man. " I would like to be called, Brown. A simple name to remember." 

"My name shall be Star Wolf the De-" before even finishing a tentacle hit the wolf sending him flying  away.

"You're name..big mouth...stupid.. Mostu.." Brown couldn't help but chuckle when he heard Pond Gods voice. Mostu on the other hand was hurt. Who was stupid and had a big mouth?!

"Name, Pond God, give me" The little beetle girl didn't care. She would be alright with everything.

"....Cheerly...in the hope that one day you don't look emotionless I guess." Pond didn't know why but from his Mind skill he saw an unmoving statue of a little girl. He guessed that people would think it isn't a human immediately after seeing her.

A emotionless one, a lazy one, a stupid one and well at least Brown was good. 

"First thing first...do you all have a skill which lets you transform? No wait.. Mostu, go down the mountain and escort the people up when they come in some days.. Cheerly go to the side and try to train your facial muscle please.."

Cheerly instantly walked to the side and made attempts which only could be called creepy. If she wasn't like a little doll, no because she looked like a little doll it made one even more scared.

Mostu wanted to say something but was thinking about having to help out with experiments so he walked down the mountain in sadness.

"So Brown, do you have a skill like that?"

Brown closed his eyes and let out a sigh afterwards.

"Not exactly Pond God, I think what you are looking for is a skill to leave this place, right? The skill we have is not Transformation or Morphing. Its called Body Change. I believe you would need a second form to make this skill work."

Pond sighed after hearing Brown. He was happy though that he had one good subordinate.

"Figures..well for the next things"

As john saw his wife and daughter playing with abilities he became overjoyed. He run with open arms to his wife and wanted to hug her.

"Dear AnastasiiIiiiii-" A meter before he reached her he was hit by a ball of wind and send flying.

"Little Eli, did you see? That would be a good defense ability. Make a ball compresed by air and hit the opponent in the stomach!"

Her daughter Eli just looked dead in to her mothers eyes and said. "Mhm good, let me try it when papa comes back."

It is said that there is nothing more scarier than a wife and a daughter in the world.

"I will do as instructed, also if I could ask. Why are the humans making walls?" Brown had several things to do afterwards but he still wanted to know the reason for that.

"I don't think it would be good to let all of them know about me, right? Just look at the others who have come before. I don't want to have some thousand humans kneeling here."

The other reason was that pond didn't exactly want to talk to them all.

Brown was surprised at the reason.

"Pond God, you could just make them know that as long as they don't do that. They would be accepted here? Who would dare to cause you trouble? With that you could even do things freely instead of being sneaky."

Pond thought for a moment, it did make sense. What about the walls and several makeshift houses build already?

"And what should we do with the things they already made?"

Brown thought for a moment before pointing at Cheerly. "She is proficient in earth. I would say she wouldn't need more than an hour to make a human city."

"Is this true, Cheerly?"  As if on command did the head of her turn 180° and with a creepy smile on her face she answered a simple yes.

"Go and talk to human John and Tania. And try to be..no nevermind." Even though he was a pond, he still got creeped out by her. What was that?!

"What else did you want to say?"

Brown didn't knew how to tell Pond God that. Well, he needed to get over it.

"You should know that there is still one Monarch who you didn't meet yet, right? Truth be told. He is somewhat the leader of us. He is the one in charge of our mission.."

After hearing the whole story did Pond get dumbstruck. What the hell?

"So you want to tell me, this whole land is only a sealing place for a Emperor Devil? You all are just guardians and the attack on the shores are Devils trying to get on land? Thats why the bird always hunts on the sea?"

Brown swallowed, maybe it wasn't agood idea to tell him all of that at once.

"Yes but now that you're here we will be having a much easier life. I also thought about waking that old bi..women up."

A slip of browns tongue made Pond realize that the sleeping serpent may be not the nicest of all creatures.

"No, let it sleep. If it awakes it will come here anyway."

"Where, John, Tania" Cheerly was talking to a human male guard which had his face concort into fear.

When he saw the little girl walk towards him he could only marvel at her cuteness.  This all changed whem he heard her speak and saw her mouth curl up into a scary smile.

"G-GhOoOssTt" He run into the makeshift city and wanted to close the gates. The people hearing him scream were perplexed. Ghost? In the day?

Tania who heard the scream ran towards the gate and saw the shivering guard with a little girl beside him.

"Human, where, task must, complete."

Tania knew that it wasn't a ghost, one of the Monarchs? She made her way to the duo and saw the head turn which scared her all the way to her bones.

"There is, human Tania, build, City task."

It did take a while before all calmed down and Tania knew what was going on.

It was painful for those who did make all of it to hear what would happen. They were more interested in the little gh- girl though.

It didn't help that everything they made instantly dissapeared and they were suddenly surrounded by a city which stretched over two kilometers.

When Pond saw the city dissapear and a new one appear, he could only mentally facepalm. That was over the top, right?
