Chapter 11: Kingdom Come (Part 1)

Rigen's perspective

I'm now going with Shera to Reimi's room, somehow when I asked Shera where Reimi, she said to me that I should not bother Reimi, she is now still sleeping, I wonder what was the meaning of "sleeping".

Advisor's battery when being charged is very hot but there is a button on the right side of the screen, tap there then the charging will be stopped. I'm now wearing Advisor with me too, seems like Reimi's room is in front of us.

"Reimi! Are you wake up now?"

I asked but there is no one responded to my words on the other side of the door, I am now about to open the door though Princess keeps calling me to stop bothering Reimi's sleep.

Then, the door is opened, Reimi is walking out of the door, her hands are full of burn, well! Seems like I now know who was the trespasser.

"Good morning, Sir Rigen!" - Reimi trying to greet me, I can see her pain by looking at her eyes

"What happened to your hands, Reimi?" - Princess Shera is so worried about Reimi that she even holding Reimi's hands that have burned

"Tch! it hurts my Highness!"

"Princess, just keep your hands out of Reimi, if you keep touching her hands, she will be more suffer!"

"Sir Rigen! Advisor has just burned hands!" - Reimi talked to me while crying like a child

"Sir Rigen, you may misunderstand Reimi if I don't say this to you but last night, when I heard my brother and his men intended to kill you!"

"I had sent Reimi to hide in the closet to guard and also to protect you!" - Shera trying to exexplain"Then why you touch Advisor, Reimi?"

"I was just curious, Sir Rigen! I just wanted to make friend with it but it has burned hands like this!" - Reimi crying louder, I hope no one in this Inn except us knows!

Well! You two did a good thing, I wonder why Advisor didn't notify me when these girls went into my room.

Advisor is an Artificial Intelligence, it has its own thoughts, maybe it had considered Reimi as my ally last night so it didn't call me, but at first, let's bandage this girl's hands!

"Just get inside my room, Reimi! I will bandage your hands! Princess! You can join to help her if you want!"

"You know how to bandage, Sir Rigen?" - Shera's expression is now surprised again

"In your homeland military, not every soldier is trained to bandage the wounds?"

"Of course, Sir Rigen! Only the healers or physicians are being trained to do it!"

"I'm now so impressed at how your homeland army is trained, Sir Rigen!" - Reimi also has the same expression as Princess

"Come on, just follow me!"

Then I lead the girls to my room and start bandaging Reimi's hands, there are a bunch of bandages inside my bag so I don't have any problem finding them.

Shera also helped me to do the bandage though she doesn't know much about it.

Looks like the bandage progress is now done! I looking at Reimi's hand again, seems like the wounds will be fully recovered in a short time.

"Just keep resting and your hands will be fully recovered in about 2 days!"

"Thank you very much, Sir Rigen!" - Reimi seems very appreciate me

"Just remember don't touch Advisor next time, it using the magic power of the sun so in the time it resting to regain the magic, it will heat up!" This - Also another lie

Then I look at the girls again, their expressions after hearing what I said about Advisor, what should I say? They were shocked and freezing like stones?

"Shera? Reimi?"

I called them but they didn't react, I also raised my hands towards their eyes, their eyes didn't move just an inch! 

Maybe I should let them calm their minds down in a few minutes!

Some minutes later after waiting for the girls to calm down, I and Shera lead Reimi back to her room, Reimi is now sleeping, she seems very cute when she sleeps. 

Then, I want to ask Princess Shera something, there are many things in this another world but I don't know much, I hope she will have enough knowledge to answer my question.

"Princess! Can I ask you something?

"What do you want to know, Sir Rigen?"

"Just answer my question in your reach, okay!"

Then I start questioning Shera about the things like the relationship between the countries, how much currency are there, if somedays I got chased by her brother's assassins, and where should I go.

Then Shera explained to me, there are about 24 countries on this continent but she doesn't know much about them, she only knows her country is having very good relations with its neighboring countries.

Most of the countries in this continent are the countries of human gathering in the South, some other countries are the Kingdoms of Elf and Kingdoms of Beastmen on the far West, the Kingdoms of Dwarf on the far East, in the far North, there is only one and the largest Kingdom of this continent, Kingdom of Demon. 

The Kingdom of Demon, she told me there was a war between humans and demons about 500 years ago.

But at the time Demon Lord Damon accepted to adopt a human child as her daughter and signed a Peace Agreement with the human, the war ended and lasts until this time.

Though co-exist in peace, the human is still hating the demon but the human never dares to step on a step to demon territory because the human was about to be wipeout in the war 500 years ago.

Demon Lord, huh? I wonder will she look like the loli girls I always see in anime or not! 

Then about the currency that the countries in this continent use, Shera told me until this time, she only knows about 10 currencies, there may be more currency but she doesn't know.

The Gel coin is being traded-in only her homeland, the Kingdom of Warsaw, the others like the Atta coin is being traded by the Attenta Kingdom and its hostile, Kingdom of Jager.

The other currency like the Elfe coin is only traded in the Elf Kingdoms, the Wara coin can only be traded in Dwarf Kingdoms, Ferri coin can only be traded in Beast-Human Kingdoms.

The Demonic coin, is the largest price currency on this continent, it is produced and used by the citizens in the Kingdom of Demon, and it can be traded anywhere.

But the chance for a human to touch a Demonic coin is very rare, it is very highly-priced, why did I just think about Bitcoin when I heard this? 

Four other currencies, the Shura, Tama, and Pegan coins are less uncommon than the others, and only the Muze coin is the most commonly traded in the human Kingdoms.

Alright, my mind is now about to blow, I can't remember all of them but I turned on Advisor, it said "I will do my best!", but how do I know if it is willing to remember or not?

About the last question I asked Shera, she said this Ailia Town also has another forest in the West, named Hinter Forest, that forest will lead to Swei Town, the border of Jager Kingdom, the hostile to the Kingdom of Attenta.

If somedays I got chased by Hoster's assassins, I will have a chance to escape to that Kingdom by that forest, the process will take 1 week if I go on foot there.

"Sir Rigen, please take this for me!" 

Then Shera takes her hands into her bag, taking out a small bag which has a lot of money in it, she said to me she had converted half of her Gel coins she brought to Atta coins.

The bag has about 20.000 coins in it, she said if somedays I got chased by her brother's men then I will at least have the money to use.

Kingdom of Jager and Kingdom of Attenta use the same currency so I will have no trouble converting the money, I just need to use it.

"Princess, why you are so kind to me?"

"Ahh, that's, because..." - Shera wanted to talk something but then she covered her face and turns behind my back

"Sorry, Princess! You don't need to say!"

Looks like the Princess herself has something very hard to talk about, I accept to take the money she brought to me, then when I was about to get back to my room, suddenly Reimi's room door is being opened

"Oh, so you are here with Sir Rigen, my little sister?" - Hoster asked his sister, Shera

"I am thinking about having a party tonight in a restaurant, would you like to join us, Sir Rigen!" - Hoster asks me, I think he has some purpose in the party

"I would like to, just tell me when!"

Of course, it's very disrespectful to refuse, I don't want to go, but I think he wouldn't dare to kill me so suddenly at the night party, at least he would capture me for interrogation.

He would think I am a spy of a hostile country, not a noble from the country I told him, I think he wouldn't believe my words, no one would let a spy die.

But something is odd, most of Hoster's soldiers and us are joining the night party but where are he and his General named Dunkel?

"Advisor! Stay on the highest alert!"

"Roger that!"

But I think Hoster wouldn't kill me so suddenly like that, then we join to party, the foods are very good, I think!

I ate some of them but not much, I don't want to let my guard down, though an assassination percentage is very low.

Then I go a bit far away from Shera and Reimi, they are enjoying the food and talking to their people, I change my position to the drink, I'm not thirsty, I just want to taste the drink.

Then when I was about to grab a wine glass which is placed with the other wine glasses on the table, a waiter suddenly brings out 5 wine glasses of pink color.

That waiter is standing beside me, he says the wine glasses on the table are just poor tasted compared to the wine glasses that are being placed on his plate, and he invites me to choose one of the glasses on the plate.

Then I grab a random glass of wine on that plate, when I was about to drink, Advisor alarming me.

"John! I found that the wine glass is poisonous, don't drink it!"

I was shocked a little bit but I fastly regained my calm, I don't think Hoster will intend to kill me so suddenly like that. I slowly hold the wine glass, raising it to my mouth then drop it on the floor like my hand is slipped.

"Oh, sorry you waiter! My hand just slipped!"

My mind is now a little relieved when I just got out of the hands of Death, I was about to stay on high alert one again.

But before I could do that, another waiter came from behind my back, he said a word as to threaten me.

"John Rigen, you follow me to the restroom!"

That man saying that word to me while pointing a thing like a dagger behind my back, I would be dead if that dagger blade has poisonous.

The waiter that was holding the plate of wine glasses is now placing the plate on the table.

He is about to follow that waiter and me to the restroom, I'm now sure these guys are Assassins that Hoster hired.

I only bring with me an M9 Bayonet as my weapon, that thing is now sticking under my right shoe, I hope these guys won't find out, I don't want to die like Sam Becker in Far Cry 3.

That man died while trying to find a chance to kill Hoyt Volker with his knife on his shirt and the other one under one of his shoes, he was killed before he could have a chance to draw the knife.

But anyway, this is no time for jokes! I'm now alone to fight against two Assassins, now no one can help me, even Shera, Reimi or Advisor, I'll have to save myself.
