Chapter 14: Hunted Becomes Hunter (Part 2)

Seems like some assassins are now dead, I slowly watch them going from below, seems like the assassins that were panicked are now calmed down, they are all following the instructions of a White Robes Hooded man looks like their leader. 

That man has a nice full beard, I thought that man was Altair, a character from Assassin's Creed series game when I first saw him.

Then that man looking around the area, notices something above him, he looks towards the tree I'm sneaking in. Damn! Did he see me?

Then that White Robes man ordered his men to do something I don't know, I can't hear him talk, or that man has talked not much loud. Then I see the other assassins, raising their hands towards the tree I'm sneaking, then they shouted loud words.

"Fireball!" 

Then lots of fireballs fly towards the tree, the tree is now burning, then I expose myself, the assassins must see me right now, I rushing towards to the nearby trees and landing on them.

"Raise your bows and shoot him, what are you waiting for!" - That White Robes man shouted loud to his men

Then the rain arrow came to me, but I managed to get up the tree and keep running, my distance to the ground is now lower and lower, I will be safe when I land down gradually by stepping on the trees one to one.

The White Robes man roars up a loud noise, then I find my body being diverted by a strong wind, this man used Wind magic without saying a word? I can't keep my steady on the tree and fall to the ground.

Arrgh! My right hand feels very hurt! It hit the ground when I fell, but then I ignored my pain, endured it, the assassins when seeing my falling down the tree, they charged at me but I managed to shoot them with my M4 Rifle.

Then I shoot some more but the assassins are now hiding behind the trees, I see that is a chance for me to run so I run as far as possible out of their ways.

Meister's perspective

After seeing my men suffer by those magic strikes on the ground from the magic tools of that man John Rigen, I managed to calm my men down, they are now gathering while watching their steps while walking through the grass.

Then I looked around, that man named Rigen cannot get so far from us, he must be nearby!

Then while looking around, I saw a flash of light coming out from a tree nearby me, then I ordered my men to fire some fireballs into the tree.

After a few seconds when that tree is burning, I saw someone coming out on top of the tree, I ordered my men to shoot a rain arrow at that man! I saw you now, John Rigen! I will avenge my men!

But the arrows, none of them hit the man, meanwhile he is jumping over the other trees, trying to get lower until gets down completely on the ground.

I angrily roared while raising both of my hands to that man, casting the spell Great Wind, to shake him down the tree.

Seems like that powerless man has fallen down the tree, he got up in pain, I ordered my men to charge at him, finally! This is the end of your life, John Rigen!

But then I was shocked, that man, Rigen took out a black metal stick, seems like a magic tool, he then shot my men one to one, and in a blink of an eye, he shot down 10 of my men.

Then he pointed his magic tool at me and was about to shoot, but I managed to hide behind a tree, the noises that were caused by that magic are very loud, about to deaf my ears, and some of my men doing what I did, some are still charging at him to being shot.

"Hey, Hervid! Stay down!"

Too late, my friend Hervid while aiming for John Rigen with his bow in his hands was shot down by that man, he died instantly by a shot through the head, I wonder what kind of magic arrow has caused this.

Then John Rigen ran away, I told my men to chase him but that man got away so fast, he also shot my other men coming out of other directions to kill him, I rushed so fast to keep up with him.

Rigen's perspective

I running so fast right now, running like Forrest Gump! Then I stop and breathe hard, maybe the assassins cannot keep up with me but I will have another fight with them in the next few minutes or seconds, cannot let my guard down.

"John! Put down your bag and take Alrotz Gas Mask and some of CNW Grenades out, you will need them this time!" - Advisor instructed me

Then I put down my bag and take out Alrotz Gas Mask, this mask has a green color around it with the radiation signal sign on its head.

This mask is not different from the other gas masks but it is specially made to sustain against the chemical from CNW Grenade.

CNW Grenade or also known as chemical nova grenade, is a new chemical weapon that the United States Army secretly created, my superior said that if I inhale the smell of this grenade, my skin will teared out gradually in pain.

I will have some coughs, feel like vomiting, hard to breathe then later die in a few seconds or minutes when this kind of chemical gets inside my body in a meaningful amount.

I don't know how did our military create this thing, some theories say that they grabbed these things from another dimension, seems like that world had a Third World War or something like that, Alrotz Gas mask was also brought from that world here.

Bullshit! I don't believe that theory, but the way I found myself in this another world made me believe that now.

At the time I was thinking about those things, the assassins are now found me, they charging at me from far away.

"John! It's time to use the grenades, throw them!" -Advisor shouted to me

Then I pull the pin of that CNW grenade and throw it towards the assassins, a green smoke popped out of the grenade as it touched the ground, that green smoke keep spreading in the air, and I managed to put on Alrotz Gas Mask to see the scene.

The assassins that inhaled the smoke green are now lying on the ground, some of them coughing, even coughing out blood, their skins are tearing out slowly, they scream in pain and slowly fall to the ground and died.

These things are more terrible than I imagined, these Nova chemicals are just like the Nova 6 Biochemical weapon the Soviet Army used in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Then I threw more than 3 grenades at the assassins and run away after grabbing my bag.

Meister's perspective

We were chasing that Rigen guy but then something strange happened, we lost his tracks? No! He must be hiding somewhere!

While searching for that man, we found a small metal thing green colored that has a strange round emblem on it falling on our place, a smoke green popping out from it.

That must be that Rigen's magic item, I cover my mouth, my nose, step back really far from my men then shout to them.

"Do not enter that green smoke! Stay closer to me, quick!"

But it's too late, some of my men didn't have enough time to react, they inhaled that green smoke, they start vomiting, coughing, falling to the ground and stop breathing, what a terrible scene.

Then more than 3 green clouds of smoke popped out from the other areas.

Damn you, Rigen! I will kill you! I will avenge my brothers!

I run towards a figure that seems like a person has just run away, I run towards that man while covering my nose from the smoke green, the others also coming with me. Though some of them cannot keep up with us, they are left behind to die. 

After a few minutes of running to chase John Rigen, we managed to get out of the green smokes, I look back, and I only see 3 others coming with me, Reyha, Shuna and Vasha.

"Where are the others!"

"We are the only that left!" - Shuna said to me

"If you want to go, then go! I don't want to see your face anymore when you leave this clan! I cannot let my brothers die like that!"

"I'm so sorry for my decision earlier, Mentor! I will go with you to the end of the line!" - Reyha has a little hesitant when she said to me but I can see she has chose her decision to fight for the brothers

Then we keep up more until we see an empty ground, there is a metal long shape object turning around the place, I think that's also a magic tool from John Rigen, we are now hiding behind a tree to see it.

When I was about to turn back to discuss a plan with my men, suddenly a small round shape object with green colored landing at our place.

I think that thing is also a magic tool of John Rigen, I was about to call my men to run away from that thing.

But before I could do that, Reyha charged her body to that object, and cover it, few seconds later, that thing exploded, and Reyha died for protecting us.

Because of that explosion, I feel a little dizzy and my ears got deaf in a few seconds, the others accidentally exposed their bodies out of the tree and that metal thing saw them.

It shot the magic arrows at them, Shuna and Vasha got shot and died instantly.

It's only me now with that magic tool, I charge myself out and run towards that thing while raising my right hand to cast the magic Green Shield.

With the protection of Green Shield, I charged at that magic tool powerfully, that thing is now falling to the ground, it stops shooting, stops working.

Rigen's perspective

I have killed all of the assassins, or at least most of them, I only see four other Assassins left but three of them died now, only the White Robes Hooded man is still alive.

That White Robes man shoved my gun turret on the ground, I expose myself for him to see, that man charging at me. I'm now changed my M4 Assault Rifle to automatic mode, I shoot at him but seems like my shots cannot hit him, that man has been protected by something like a shield covered in green color.

I have wasted so many bullets while hitting that man, that man didn't make any move but crouched down while holding his right hand to make that Green Shield fight against my rifle.

Then I drop my gun on the ground, and that man also stops doing that Shield, seems like that Green Shield is a kind of magic or so, that man feels more excited when he sees me drop my gun. He charged at me with his sword, swinging his sword at me like a mad man.

But I managed to dodge all of his strikes, that was so lucky! I slowly step back to my M4 Rifle while staring my eyes at that man.

"Your magic arrows are out! It's time to die, John Rigen!" - That man said to me with an angry face

Then I grab my rifle from the ground, pointing at that man and take the shot.

"Bang!"

"How could you?" - That White robes man was shocked when see me shot him, an accurate shot to the chest

"John! The shot that you just fired was the last bullet in your rifle's chamber! You now have no bullets left!" - Advisor talked to me, I am now just have left only my stuff in the bag can that still used to fight

I have made a gamble with my life, if I missed count, the rifle must have no bullet on it and I would be dead if I made a wrong move.

That robes man kneeling on the ground, he tries to stand up but his wounds said no to him, that man then removes the hood that covers his face for me to see.

I got shocked for a few seconds, the man that tried to kill me is just an old man, he staring his eyes at me, seems like to say something.

"I want to have an honored death of an Assassin! This is for my clan, my brothers, kill me!" - That man asked me to kill him

I felt confused after hearing what he said but I later pull out the M9 Bayonet, about to give him mercy death by stabbing through his heart.

At the time I was about to stab him, that White Robes man said to me.

"It's very shameful to let my enemy kill me, I want to do it myself!" - That man ordered me to let him kill himself

Then I drop the bayonet near his place and turn around to let him deal with his life, I don't think that man will have a chance to kill me with his heavy wounds like that.

Even if he could do that, I will have enough time to react to his attack.

"Rarrgh!" - That man making a roar towards me, I got a jumpscare and turned around 

I'm shocked, the bayonet's blade was just away from my heart about 1 inch! I have almost died, I didn't have a chance to react!

The man that was trying to kill me now is holding his wounds with his left hand, blood keeps spurting out from his chest powerfully, he drops the bayonet and falls on the ground, that man looking at me, trying to say some words.

"You have killed me, John Rigen! Brothers, I am now can go with you to the other side of the world!" 

That White Robes man then died with both eyes open, I searched his body to find stuff and find out a card that was made of a material that I don't know about.

Seems like this was the status of the assassin that died in front of me, though he was my enemy, I also give respect by doing a military salute to him, then I go back to collect the other assassin cards, and after a long time for collecting, I keep coming on my path to the border of Jager Kingdom.

The sky now seems like afternoon, I stay at a river nearby, making a camp and also charging Advisor's battery, my rifle is out of ammo, but I still keep it, it may be still useful at some points.

From now on, I can go to the border of Jager Kingdom easily without any trouble, I hope I will get there, soon!
