Reimi's perspective

"Uhhh...wait a minute, the shop is closed this time." - The girl that I asked previously put her knuckles on her chin while looking at me with a questioning look

"Customer, our shop is still closed, please return in the next hour." - At least answer my previous question!

"I'm a long years customer here, Miss! I would like to see the owner - Sallad, is he here?" - Well, maybe this girl was uncle Sallad's daughter

"Sigh...uhhhhh, alright please wait for me a bit." - The girl nodded twice while sighing and then told me to wait

She later left the wooden stall and then headed inside a room to call uncle Sallad, I slowly drew out my dagger and my throwing knives and put them on the stall for repair. The blood on my weapons had been dried so it would take uncle Sallad a lot of time to clean, I kept standing here to wait while looking around the shop to look at new weapons and armors.

"Dad, stop eating! Someone wants to meet you!!!" - This girl was a very loud mouth, wasn't she? 

I kept waiting for a few seconds and then two figures came out of the door, uncle Sallad was walking beside the girl I considered his daughter. I bowed to Sallad and he later grabbed my bloody weapons as if examining them, the daughter was doing something that I didn't know, she crouched down in the stall and then pulled out a piece of fur paper or something.

"Long time to see, Reimi! Anyway...you came here to fix your weapons?" - Uncle Sallad asked me when he was touching the dagger's blade

"No, uncle Sallad! My weapons are full of blood so I need you to clean them."

"I see, it would take me a short time...your weapons seem to be rusted a bit, you didn't grind them?" 

"Uhhh, yeah...I often practiced with them daily but never checked their durability." - I was quite careless about taking care of my weapons 

At the time I wake up every morning, if I have time then I would draw my sword and my dagger out to swing them hundred times before stopping, that was the way I do my fast training. In the noon or the afternoon when I have free time, I would head to the backyard to practice throwing knives and hitting the wooden scarecrows. 

I sometimes practice with bows and crossbows, though the Knights were mostly trained with swords, horse riding and spears. I was promoted from a Knight to a Royal guard so using long-range weapons was also required, that's why I also fight with bows and crossbows though they were not my main weapons.

Uncle Sallad kept looking at my weapons closely, I was very careless in taking care of them, I sometimes grind them but mostly buy the new ones instead of repairing them. Now I noticed that uncle Sallad's mouth had some pieces of potatoes, maybe he was eating when his daughter asked him to head out here...sorry for disturbing you!

"Sigh...you never taking care of your weapons...want to grind them too?"

"Uhhh..." - Maybe there would be no problems if I let uncle Sallad grind my weapons

"Nod!"

"Understood, please wait for me a bit, Reimi." - Uncle Sallad later leaned his hand down the stall and grabbed out a brown bag, maybe he would stock my weapons on it

"Uncle Sallad, could you please let me get inside? I mean...my belly is now gulping, I hope you won't mind letting me eat free food." - We are the good neighbors till now, please old uncle!

"Alright, but I didn't have free food to share with you...but I won't let you starve." - Uncle Sallad said to me while stocking my weapons into the bag

"Rina, head to the restaurant that I often eat there and order a pack of steak for this little girl, alright?" - Okay, so Sallad's daughter was named Rina

"Huh? Dad, why did you?"

"Here, don't complain." - Uncle Sallad pulled out a money bag and then gave Rina dozens of coins, those were Atta coins, why did he give his daughter that much money?

"Hehe, thank you very much, dad..." - Rina made a cheerful smile and then opened the stall's door, she walked out and then stared at me

"Customer, why don't you get in and wait for the service?" - Rina said to me while chuckling, she later headed out of the shop and laughed while opening the bag to see the money that her dad gave her

Now this room only had both of us, uncle Sallad opened the stall's door so I walked in, but before I got in, I bowed to apologize though my trespassing was approved. Uncle Sallad later headed inside a room so I followed him, in front of me now was a wide living room which was made of wood, this kind of structure was not safe against fire at all.

Well, maybe this weapons shop was built at a cheap cost so that was the reason why its structure was made of wood, most of the buildings would be made of bricks to prevent fire. But this shop, from the walls to the floor was all made of wood, uncle Sallad's family was not that poor, why did he build his shop this cheap?

"Why don't you take a seat, Reimi? My daughter would return in any minutes, I would clean and grind your weapons and return them to you, wait for me." - Uncle Sallad later headed to a room on the end of the corner

Now only I inside the room, I walked around and found there was a stone furnace which was firing, I hope the snow would end soon because I didn't want to use the furnace every day. But I felt very enjoyed and warm while nearing the furnace so I stepped near it and then sat on the floor while raising my hands near the fire, it feels very good!

Hahhhh! After raising my hands near the fire for a few seconds, I stopped and looked around the room to see if I could find anything else interesting or not, I hope I could find something. Ohhh, there was a wooden round table on the right side of the room, I wanted to see which was placed on it so I stood up and approached the table.

There was a bowl of meal on the table, the meal seemed to be potatoes mixed with eggs or something, didn't know that uncle Sallad loved to eat eggs, the bowl was about to be done eating, nearly finished. After looking at the place for a few seconds, I headed to a nearby chair and put down my backpack, maybe I would stay here for a few minutes to eat.

I would stay in uncle Sallad's shop for a few minutes to eat and then head to the Adventurer's Guild to do a quest there and then return to Veta region. Maybe I would return to the Palace to order the maids to clean my bloody clothes before returning, I must use my time wisely, I guessed.

Ohh, I found something which was lying on the table nearby the chair where I put my backpack, it seemed to be a wooden box whose cover had opened. Well, I grabbed the box and saw nothing inside it so I closed the box and walked around to find things once again, I was quite starved to find new things to experience, wasn't I?

After heading around the room for a few seconds, I noticed a small object which was placed on the dining table, it was about to be covered completely by the eating bowl. I headed closer and grabbed that small thing, it seemed to be shiny, maybe made of silver...I see, it was a medal of war, how wonderful it was.

The room was quite dark...why uncle Sallad saved too much of lights? Only two torches and a burning furnace in this room, he was really eating his meal in a dark area like this or what?

Because I could not see the details on the medal precisely so I sat near here furnace once again and raised the medal near the fire to see its details, the medal was a Warsaw crest. Well, a silver crest which had a figure of a horseman with his dead horse and his battered body who was standing depressedly, I remembered this crest's name, let me remember a bit. 

Uhhhh...ohhh, I remembered, this medal was called "Cavalry slayer", only rewarded when a Warsaw soldier killed more than 20 enemy horsemen, uncle Sallad was quite legendary to have this war medal. Why didn't he tell me that he was a war veteran? I think that would be an honor to share with others to let them know his achievements.

"Why didn't you sit on a chair but on the floor, Reimi? It's very dirty to sit there, you know?" - When I was enjoying looking at the medal, uncle Sallad called me

I turned behind and saw uncle Sallad, he was sitting at the table and removed his leather gloves, the bag was now placed on a chair nearby, uncle Sallad later grabbed a spoon. I slowly stood up and then walked toward uncle Sallad and then opened the bag to see my weapons, the blood had been wiped out, I later grabbed out my dagger.

Well, I saw no damage on the dagger anymore, I also checked the other throwing knives and have the same results, uncle Sallad has fixed my weapons completely, must pay him. 

"No need to pay, Reimi! I would double the repair costs when you come here next time to fix your weapons." - Uncle Sallad said to me when he was eating...why did you do business that cunning, uncle?

"Thanks for fixing my weapons, uncle Sallad." - I thanked him and then grabbed my weapons and stocked them on the holster and the pouches

"Anyway, may I ask you a question?" - I asked uncle Sallad while raising to his face his war medal

"I found this while walking around, you were a war veteran, uncle Sallad? Why you didn't tell me about that story?"

Uncle Sallad later grabbed his medal and stayed silent for a long time, he later sighed and then put the medal on the table while looking straight at me. Well, I never had a war medal because I didn't make many achievements during the previous coup or in the previous invasion, having a war medal was a very big thing to me.

"This is just a piece of silver, nothing else tell about it, Reimi." - Eh?

"Why? Having a war medal is a dream of mine, you know? You must be very brave to have this kind of thing, you're a true warrior, uncle Sallad."

"That's nonsense, the medal is just a piece of silver, nothing else that's matter to tell." - Uncle Sallad kept waving his hand as if he was rejecting his earned honor, why?

I sat near uncle Sallad as he stopped telling but started eating again, I didn't see any interest in killing, wars were very terrible, I knew about it after times went through incidents. 

"Anyway, I knew that Her Highness has married the man John, you didn't marry him, Reimi?"

"Yeah, uncle Sallad."

"Why? That guy did not willing to take the responsibility or what?"

"No...it's complicated, Her Highness didn't let me love John, he also broke up with me though he still cared about me after getting married."

"I think you should spend time persuading your ruler, Reimi! Both of you have known each other since your childhood, sharing a husband would be no problem to get jealous."

"But make sure that guy has responsibility, marrying without arguments is impossible but wounds of bad relationships could be healed by time."

"Only needs both of you to be patient, but with an irresponsible man is a problem...has Her Highness got pregnant, Reimi?" - Uncle Sallad has done eating his meal so he sat straight to hear my story 

"No, what's wrong?"

"Well, because that man and the Princess herself are quite silent after marrying, if my neighbor has some problems, that rumor would spread this entire street in a day."

"Well, every couple after marrying would enjoy their lovely, happy days till living with their loved ones through months, their real self would be shown sooner or later."

"Laziness, irresponsible or anything, if the couple could not endure their love one's bad behaviors or that person didn't let loose their bad things to become better to get along after marrying."

"Well, divorcing would be the answer...that would be showed clearly if you get pregnant and tell that guy about your condition."

"If he was irresponsible, he would run away after marking his seeds in your belly."

"But...by looking at his face, I could say the one you love is responsible...though he sometimes needs...beauties..."

"Don't mind about what I was saying, Reimi! Just forget it." - Uncle Sallad stopped talking and then grabbed the empty bowl away

"May I do anything to help you, uncle Sallad?"

"No, just sit there and eat, feel free to be home, Reimi." 

I accepted uncle Sallad's command so I kept sitting at the table and then heard a door opening, I turned around to look and saw Rina - uncle Sallad's daughter. She was holding a wooden box in her right hand, she moved to the table and then put the box on the table and opened its cover, I could smell the box exposed some good smells, so good!

Ohh, inside the wooden box was full of steaks and vegetables, my drools were about to have some drops, uncle Sallad later gave me a knife and a fork, even a spoon to eat. Well, with all of my respect, I slowly received the eating tools and then noticed that Rina was raising a bag toward her father with her cheerful smile as if she was bragging.

"Sighhhhhhh! I told you to buy blue, I didn't like red." - Uncle Sallad brought out a pair of the red leather glove from the bag and sighed a very long line 

"Wait...the size is big, but your hands are small, daughter." - Uncle Sallad was quite bewildered when the size of the gloves bigger than her daughter's hand size many times

"Well, I bought it for you, dad! Hehe."

"For me? I thought...thank you, Rina! What a good daughter...uhhhh." - Uncle Sallad was more bewildered when his daughter pulled out a blue dress which seemed very luxury

"How do I look, dad? Am I beautiful if I wear this one? I hope I could attract my boyfriend with this dress, I look like a Queen if I wear it, hehe." - Rina raised the dress near her body while asking her father 

"How much was for buying that dress, my daughter? Ummm...I mean the money, how much left?" 

"Here, father." - Rina showed her father her empty hands, did she hint to him that she used up all the money that her father gave her? She spent hundreds of Gels to buy a dress and returned with her empty hands?

"Oh my Goddess...sighhhhhhhhhhh! That was my 3 months salary, I thought you would buy something cheaper..." - Uncle Sallad kept covering his face

"Alright, give me your dress, my daughter." - Uncle Sallad kept leaning his hand to the dress as if he wanted to take over it from his daughter

"If you have guts then don't chase me, papa!" - Rina mocked her father and then ran outside while smiling with her new dress

"Maybe giving my salary to my old wife is the better idea...sighhhhhhh!" - Uncle Sallad shaking his head tiredly while walking to a table and later sitting on it

Maybe I would eat fast and run out of here, uncle Sallad always has a habit to borrow my money and then only paying half of the debts. Yeah, let's eat fast and head out of here for my safety, sorry for not helping you this time, uncle Sallad.

Well, I was standing at the entrance of the Adventurer's Guild, after eating at uncle Sallad's weapons shop, I headed to the Palace and ordered the maids to clean my clothes. After doing those things, I came here, I didn't have a purpose to do any quests, just want to see how developed was the guild before heading back to the Palace to take back my clothes.

I opened the door and got inside, the room was quite bright when torches were placed everywhere though I didn't see any adventurers around the area, it was quite strange to me. Maybe...this time was the rest time of the guild or something, I only saw a guild girl standing in front of the long wooden stall, maybe she was doing the guard duty on this noon shift.

I slowly headed to the stall to see the guild girl, as I faced the girl, she appeared to be an adult woman who wore a red uniform and wore a red Warsaw beret, her eyes looked familiar strangely as if I knew her. This woman was white, long brown wavy haired and brown eyes, she seemed to be more than 30, wait a minute...not just her eyes but her face was also familiar, why I could not remember this woman?

"Hello, comrade! It has been a long time since the last time we met." - The guild girl greeted me

"Who are you? Have I known you before, Lady?"

"You don't remember me, Reimi? I'm Mili - the guild girl that you met before." - Mili? Ummmm...ahhhh! I remembered, but her face appeared to be someone else but I didn't remember precisely

"Also, my daughter has jumped 3 classes while attending school, she is learning very hard so I'm very proud of her."

"I must work harder for my daughter's future, to give her into a wealthy family to let her have happiness."

"Sorry, too much of my private things, don't mind about that, comrade Reimi." - Mili was quite emotional but she later held her tears

"Do you want to do any quests, comrade Reimi? Anyway...John didn't go with you today?" - Mili later concentrated on her work by asking me if I have a need to earn money by doing a quest or not 

"No, no...I came here today only for the purpose to see how is the guild during the cold days." - I looked around the stall and saw some snowmen figures, the people in this place still thinking they were in the winter, huh?

"Anyway, about John...he got married so he is now having fun with his wife during her birthday, I broke up with him..." 

I was still considering whether should I use all of my confidence to express to Shera my feelings for John or not. I must believe in myself, I must say out my true feelings, I must not stay humble forever before my ruler, I must show her my courage!

"Ohh, sorry to hear that you broke up, I hope you would be able to marry Sir Rigen soon since polygamy is legal."

"Having two wives is not a problem for him since his need is quite... huge, I could tell through my experience with him...I wanted to do that with him again if he likes, I love that night." - Wait, what did she just say?

"Ahh, nothing! Just ignore my nonsense talk, those previous words are nonsense." - Mili covered her face for a few seconds, her face expressed to be very lusted and blushed at the same time, weird

"Anyway, I didn't see the skinny girl anywhere, she didn't work this shift with you?" - There was a time I went across the guild and saw that skinny guild girl guarding inside during the noon, now didn't see her anywhere 

"Well, about Cily...she is quite...I hope she is still fine with her little sister." - Huh?

"What's wrong?"

"Sigh! Do you know about the school massacre half a year ago, Reimi? That incident was very tragic."

"Yeah, so what?" 

"Cily...she had a relationship with the magic shooter so when the Palace investigated the killer's identity, she was also being affected by the gossip."

"I tried to keep in touch with Cily, even gave her a small amount of money but she rejected."

"I heard that she and her little sister have moved to Stansa to change their lives after taking too many disregards of the people who didn't seek the truth."

"One time when I went to Stansa and luckily found Cily, she said that she has a new job and a new inn to stay with her little sister."

"But I didn't know where she live, she ran away after facing and talking with me."

"I hope...in some occasion, I would be able to find Cily and help her again, I want to help her till the end." - Mili slowly stopped emotional but later tried to be serious

A few moments later, I heard sounds from behind me so I turned behind and saw a bunch of people who wore hoods or armors walking inside the Adventurer's Guild's entrance. They must be the adventurers, quite crowded to me, I looked at the stall and saw a group of 5 guild girls who were heading out of the door, maybe our talk would end here for sure.

"Looks like my shift has gone, comrade Reimi! Come here again when you like, there would be always money for you to earn." - Mili later bowed to me so I also bowed to her

After saying goodbye, I turned behind and walked straight to the door while staying away from the crowd of the adventurers, maybe I would come here some days. At least making a part-time job to earn more money though that income would not be much but at least interesting, very worth trying. 

After returning to the Palace, I grabbed my clothes, they were still wet but I ignored and packed them, rushed to a nearby clothing shop and then bought some good clothes. Well, those clothes were the things I wanted to give John and Shera, I bought not much and later hired a carriage ride to escort me back to Veta, this time was afternoon and about to get dark.

After returning to the castle, I headed inside right away and then ran back to my room and stored my clothes, still wondering where was Her Highness, I hope she was still here. Because it would be very complicated for me to express my feelings if she was going out with her husband, I fastly stored my clothes and brought my package with me outside to find Shera.

"Ahhh, Reimi - chan! Good evening...though is about to turn evening, hehe." - The first things I saw when I walked outside were Sarah and Hatano, she greeted me while trying to lift her hand to wave but she was tired or something

"Sighhhhh! Can we stop shooting, sis? My hands cannot lift anymore, I shot thousands of arrows till this time, you know?" - Sarah later complained to her older sister, I could see she was holding a long bow, her hand was quite loose 

"In medieval history, the longbow English archer only ranked 2nd compared to the Wales archer, don't complain, Sarah." - Why Hatano was very strange when she talked normally like that?

"Must train your arms to be stronger than ever, those extraordinary archers used to shoot bows and arrows seriously in a day till their hands could not move in the next day."

"But our soldiers are mostly trained to use crossbows, sis!" - Sarah talked tiredly when she and Hatano were about to head to the castle's door 

"Our Special Force men are trained to use bows, training soldiers to use a bow takes longer time than training to use a crossbow."

"Also, the reason I train our soldiers to use crossbows is that we didn't have many materials to invent muskets." - I was quite bewildered when I didn't know what Hatano was saying 

"But don't worry, Sarah...now I would like you to test a new weapon, I want to see how effective is this repeating crossbow." - Both of them later headed outside so I stopped looking at them

I hope Her Highness was staying inside John's room, I slowly stepped and stood in front of the door while holding my breath to calm down. Told her this time or never, I must take my chance, I must be brave to express, I hope my ruler would accept to let me marry her husband.

Even if she rejects my demand then having a child with John would be alright, I want to protect her descendants to fulfill my duty. I did not need to become his concubine, having a child to succeed in my duty to protect Shera's descendants was all I need.

I didn't care if I have to live in a name of betrayal, all I need was to have a strong child to become her descendants' protector, I have made up my fate, now or never, must do it!

I roughly opened the door while my face was still nervous and could not calm down, Shera was there, she was...what a sick action she was doing. She was crouching on the bed while spreading her legs, raising John's dog tag above her head while using her tongue to lick it with her lustful expression, what a sick!

"John...John...John...please let me lick you, I want you...ahhhhh!" - Shera was licking the dog tag while whispering calling for John, she was moaning very low 

She also used her other hand to rub her below body, it was dripping very much water, she was lusting for her husband, her action was very sick and obscene to me. I would be honest, Her Highness was nothing but crazy sick the first time she met John, she was just a sick that needed to be fixed completely.

As if her sickness had sprouted in her body and her soul when she was born, as if it only needed John's appearance to start it or something.

How could John be safe when he loves a crazy sick like her? I disgusted her!

Ahhhh...I must calm down, I was here to discuss, not to divide our relationship, I must stay humble about Her Highness's sick behavior.

"Ahhh...Reimi, you have returned?" - Shera saw me so she stopped acting obscene but slowly sat on the bed and stored the wet dog tag behind her collar 

"I'm sorry for returning late and making you worry, my Highness! As an apology, I have bought these clothes to give you and Lord Rigen, I hope you would willing to receive them." - I respectfully gave Shera the backpack 

"I would be very happy to receive your present, Reimi! John would be very happy too." - Shera received the backpack and then looked inside, she later put it on the floor 

"John is now working out in the backyard, he was lifting his barbell and I kissed him to encourage...but."

"I saw that I was annoying him so I left to let him exercise freely...both of us would later have dinner and then...have sex." - Shera later looked at space as if her mind was ecstatic while thinking about John 

"John was very worried when you returned here late, Reimi...his mind is still thinking about you, not good at all." - Shera glared at me for a few seconds and then stopped, as if she was warning me 

"Ummm...my Highness." - Should I tell her?

"What's wrong, Reimi?"

"Ummm..."

"Ahh, I forgot to warn you this, I would like you to leave us alone when we are about to have sex...don't disturb us, alright?"

"Nod!"

"What a good servant, I would not mind if you follow me on my date, just...remember to sit far from him and stay silent all the time.

"Nod!"

"Seems like you have something hard for you to say out...let me hear it, Reimi...what's wrong?"

"Ummm...can we discuss John, my Highness?"

"Tch! Uhhhh...if you like, Reimi." - Shera glared at me when I dare to address her husband (John) instead of addressing him Rigen, which was considered impolite and didn't fit for a lowly servant like me

"But I must remind you again...only I and the people John wants to call him by his name are approved, a dog servant like you cannot address him like that."

"I'm sorry, my Highness! But I would like to address him John, I still love him and...need your approval."

"You can never marry him, do not take over my husband...he is forever mine and you are nothing but just a dog that..."

"Reimi, I didn't mean to, I didn't want to insult you but..." - Her Highness suddenly went silent 

"What is your demand, Reimi?" - Her Highness was trying to calm down, why we could not share to live with an only husband in peace? I beg you!

"Umm...I want to have John's seeds, I want to give birth to his child, a baby would be alright." - I hope she would not go crazy after hearing this

"Excuse me? Say that again, you dog...you dare to have a baby with John? Dare to overthrow me?"

"You have misunderstood, my Highness! I wanted to have a baby with your husband but in the purpose to have one to succeed in my duty." - I was cowering my hands and didn't dare to look at Shera's face

"I want the protect your children and your descendants much as I could by giving that duty to my children when I pass away..."

"Ummm...I only need to have a baby of your husband, nothing else, no high rank in the Royal, no throne and no fame...please approve me, my Highness." 

"I will kill you, you dog! Do not touch my husband, an ignorance like you never learned anything from your previous death, now you will die for sure!" - Shera was very crazy, she charged at me and I managed to dodge her

"Anyone who dares to touch my husband will have to die all! You cannot have him, a dog like you cannot have him, die!!!!" - Shera roared while trying to reach me

"Do not dodge, get back here!" - Shera madly grabbed a book nearby and threw it at me but I dodged, she was still trying to find something else

"I'm sorry, my Highness!"

"Accckk! Arrghhh!" - Shera felt very painful when I hit her belly, she kept holding it while her face was expressing as if she wanted to vomit

I was thinking to crush Shera on the floor and a figure ran into the room and then stood between us, that was John, he was trying to stop us from arguing, he was doing it very seriously. Shera kept trying to reach me but John raised his hand to her to stop, he also raised his hand to me to tell me to keep my distance, I could see his tension was exposed, what should we do? 

"I told you this many times, Shera! I didn't love Reimi anymore, don't let her nonsense talks affect you..."
