Ahhh, I was trying to remember how long had passed since the day that I first impregnated the Queen, maybe...more than 4 months. Anyway, I could not remember precisely, maybe 4 months had passed since that night, I managed to make the Queen get pregnant within a week or something, now she was in her 4th month of pregnancy.

It took Sarah a lot of time because she had met King Ralla 35 times and then King Ralla managed to convince the other Kings from other Kingdoms to respond to the military alliance with Warsaw in the future. So lucky that after 2 months, the remained Kingdoms had responded, willing to sit on the chair to discuss allying with Warsaw, today was the day of the meeting, I hope the alliance would be successfully formed.

Well, back to the Fourth of July, maybe I would stick the US flags all around my castle and hold a big military parade in the town, encouraging the people to join the United States Warsaw Corps. Because the war was about to come now and the alliance would be formed sooner or later, I need manpower for the military to prepare for the next war to come, hope we would win against Attenta, I wished.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!" - While I was sleeping, someone just tapped my shoulder, maybe that was my wife who caused it

I slowly opened my eyes and saw in front of me was Shera, she was smiling at me while closing her eyes, every time I see my wife, just only want to grab her and crush her on the bed to have sex, calm down. "I got rid of her, John..." - Shera slowly fell on my chest and hugged me sweetly, my wife never wanted to let me out of her sight, sigh!

"I don't get it, Shera."

"Well...Ilis got in here as I woke up, seeing her made me annoyed so I dismissed her and ordered that maid to head to the kitchen to wait for me."

"After that, I stayed here to clean our room, the way you were sleeping was very cute so I could not stop letting off my job just to stare at you, John." - Shera slowly breathed deeply 

"Are you hungry now, John?"

"Yeah, a bit."

"I have already prepared your Marine uniform and stuff for you to bathe, John...remember to brush your teeth after waking up too."

After saying to me, my wife slowly tidied my bed and modified my brown clumsy hair by using a comb, I was quite lazy by keeping this buzz-cut hairstyle till this time without changing. Only my hair's length was being kept in appropriate length, my full beard after 4 months had finally grown dense again, now my wife was playing with my beard, quite cute.

"I won't shave your beard if it makes you mad, John...but please let me shave you when I ask your permission." 

"Okay, Shera."

"Kiss!" - My wife suddenly gave me a sweet kiss, she just had excited me so I felt a bit energetic after waking up...must hold back!

"Hehe, I've already prepared for you clothes and a towel, why don't you brush your teeth and take a bath now, John?"

"Nod!"

I nodded to Shera and then got out of my bed, stepped on the floor and checked my body, was still muscular though I was having some fat. Because I intentionally made my body have more fat, maybe it could be a strategy to use in the war when I have to live under intense battles without rations for days or months.

After looking at my body for a few seconds, I looked back to see Shera and realized that my wife was still cleaning my room, she was using a cloth to wipe the dust on a desk. Maybe I should not disturb her, but now I wanted to see Advisor, my eyes kept swinging around the room but didn't see Advisor anywhere, where was my bullshit brother?

"Please don't wait for me, John! It would take me a short time to clean your room completely." - Shera  stopped wiping the table and looked at me

"I haven't eaten breakfast so why don't you bathe quick and we would have our dinner, husband?" - Shera later returned wiping the table

"Where is Advisor, Shera?"

"Well, I put him along with your Marine uniform, he kept complaining when you didn't charge his battery the previous night so I shut him off."

"Alright...see you in the breakfast, Shera." - I slowly pointed my eyes to the room's door and walked outside

"You too, John."

As I walked out of my room, I immediately looked at the right side of the wall which Reimi was standing to guard, Reimi noticed, she bowed to me and then returned to guarding. 

"Good morning, Lord Rigen! I hope you had a good sleep." - Reimi greeted me while her eyes and her stance were pointing around the hallway to guard 

"Good morning you too, Reimi." - While greeting Reimi, I peeked at her armor, the right side of her armor's belt was strapping an object inside a holster, it was a flintlock pistol - a type of short musket

Well, Hatano managed to craft guns in this world by owning the mages who had non-attribute magic, she used them to create these old guns, which were our very secret weapons. Because muskets were armed very limited to prevent the leaking of our military intel to the other Kingdoms, the numbers of guns were not too large so my military didn't arm with muskets that much.

Only the militaries in Veta and Stansa were the ones who were armed with guns, these things were not shown to the Prime Minister for the purpose of not letting our military intel leak out overseas. Reimi was one of a few soldiers who were armed with muskets, she was supposed to be armed with a musket but she refused and admitted that she prefers a small weapon like a flintlock pistol.

Well, Reimi while guarding the room, she sometimes leaned her right hand to the holster and drew the flintlock pistol out to aim at the long hallway. This was the way of Reimi's training to get used to using a gun, she would have to get used to combining using a pistol and a sword at a same time to increase her fighting and defensive skills.

"Do you have any struggle with using the gun, Reimi?" - Even though I was struggling to use these muskets too, the reloading's progress took a lot of time since these were ancient guns, we could not create pre-modern guns yet 

"The reloading progress takes me a lot of time, Lord Rigen! But I would do my best to use this gun masterly." - Maybe I should show my feeling for Reimi by doing some action, poor that my wife didn't let her love me

"Don't be sad because of Shera, even if you cannot come along with me, I will always be with you, Reimi." - While talking to Reimi, I patted her head slowly, Reimi was trying to enjoy my pat, how cute she was!

"John..." - Oops, I forgot that my wife was still in my room, I heard a slow sound of the door opening while sensing someone was staring at me

I slowly stopped patting Reimi and immediately turned around to see the door, Shera was peeking at me, she later opened the door widely and stepped outside, closing the door. Reimi was quite nervous and scared when my wife kept glaring at her, maybe I should calm these two down, no need to get jealous because of this bullshit reason.

"Hey, my wife...please don't misunderstand, that was my fault." - With the purpose to calm my wife down, I slowly hugged her as I faced her

"Hmmmmm...John, please stay away from Reimi." - I heard my wife say that so I hugged Shera while opening my room's door, both of us headed inside and closed the door 

"Sigh...please don't make me mad again, John! Even if you don't love Reimi but just want to care about her for a bit then I would feel very jealous."

"Don't worry about her, John! I would take care of Reimi so please don't make me mad." 

"Sorry for making you mad, Shera..." - I slowly patted Shera's head to calm my wife down

"I don't want to waste your time, John! Please take a bath soon and we will have breakfast, my brother asked you to meet him this morning."

"Okay, Shera."

I stopped patting my wife and headed outside once again, now Reimi didn't look at me anymore, maybe she was scared of being caught seriously by Shera, poor her. Instead of staying in my room to clean, Shera didn't do that but stalked me, maybe she wanted to make sure that I would not do anything suspicious while out of her sight.

Maybe I should go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have a bath quickly because it would be the best way to get rid of Shera and Reimi. Only that way could stop my wife from being jealous, when Shera and her servant were alone without me, they would surely make up, not fighting for jealousy anymore.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - When I was about to head to the bathroom, my ears heard 5 big explosions coming out from somewhere

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - A few seconds after the first explosions, the other explosions came out, the sounds seemed very similar to gunshots

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - Five more explosions after a few seconds, they sounded a bit loud because the sounds were not sounded in front of me

"What the hell are those explosions?" - I pointed my eyes in the direction of the shots while asking Shera and Reimi, the direction seemed to be sounded out from the backyard

"Ummm...Hatano asked my permission to let her soldiers test the muskets and I allowed her...sorry if the gunshots disrupted your morning, John."

Alright, Hatano was testing the muskets with the women soldiers of her Spera region, they were trained to be snipers like her, that's all I know. Maybe I should see Hatano first before doing anything else, I was a bit unpleasant to hear gunshots when I woke up...quite unlucky.

"I'll see Hatano first before bathing, Shera! It would be quick." - After saying to my wife, my feet fastly walked in the direction of the backyard

I was a bit sleepy and lusted after waking up because of having Shera's kiss but as the gunshots sounded, my mind had completely woken up. Sigh...now I was walking to the backyard, because I was only wearing my short pants and a naked upper body because of didn't wear other clothes so some glances were focusing at me, please stop!

Well, because this castle only had women except for me so it was very challenging to hold back, most of the maids in this castle were young ladies, some were married ones. Some of these maids saw me walking past them so they bowed to me though I could see some were peeking at me as I walked through them, they were overwhelmed with my physique, quite attractive.

After a few a minute of fast walking, I managed to reach the backyard's entrance, the entrance of the backyard was well large to make the comfortable for people here. Two women soldiers guarding the entrance were about to make a military salute to me but I raised my hand at them to tell them to stop and later walked inside straightly.

These women soldiers were quite cold to me, they seemed very indulgent in their jobs but never had a sign of chatting or doing other things while working their shifts. Those women even ignored my body though they work here and stay in the castle daily, at least they must have their private feelings after a long time getting used to working and living here, right?

But I later neglected the women soldiers but concentrated on the things in front of me, a small platoon including 14 women soldiers and Sarah who were holding muskets. Those soldiers were standing in the middle of a wide grass ground, forming a horizontal line with 3 lines formation, 5 soldiers from each group of three lines formation, each line behind another one.

"Aim the enemies, a distance of 100 meters, ready to fire!" - Hatano was standing behind all soldiers, she yelled loudly to order them to aim at the wooden target beyond the wide yard

According to what I saw from the wide ground beyond the place the soldiers were standing, about 40 wooden targets which had the sizes of humans were placed around the yard. 20 targets were away about 50 meters (54,7 yards) while the remained 20 targets were away about 100 meters (109 yards) - the farthest range that most muskets could shoot, quite far to have an accurate shot.

The soldiers fastly crouched down and pointed their muskets at the target away from them, they held their guns tightly to their shoulders and aimed through the iron sights. The soldiers behind the first line were also crouching but didn't aim their muskets, they would shoot at the time the soldiers in the first line get behind them to make their turn.

"Shoot!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - 5 gunshots sounded loudly and the muskets' barrels after shooting popped out many of white smoke, because these ancient guns were used with original gunpowder

Well, I would say that these muskets were not using the smokeless powder like our modern military so the damages and the sounds of the shooting were louder than our modern guns, it shook my ears.

"Good shot, soldiers! 4 shots hit and one missed! Private Sarah, next time shoot better or I would squeeze your breast!" - What the hell was wrong with Hatano when she yelled those words?

"What the hell, sis?!" - Sarah was quite bewildered so she turned behind to see her older sister while Hatano was standing and looking at the shot targets by using binoculars 

"First line, return to the third line! The second line moves up to get ready!"

"Ehhhh! Wait, wait a minute!" - Sarah was in a rush when she was running behind the other soldiers, she acted quite clumsy and slow

As the soldiers from the first line had returned and stayed behind the soldiers from the third line, the soldiers from the second line were crouching and aiming their muskets. Now Sarah and other soldiers were crouching while reloading the muskets, the soldiers fastly leaned their hands to the pouches which were strapped on their right belts.

They later grabbed out the cloth cartridges and used their teeth to grab out the barks of the cartridges and spat them away as they pulled out the barks. About Sarah, this girl was quite miserable because she managed to pull out the cartridge's bark while the other soldiers were filling powder inside the muskets' holes.

"Do not rush! Do not rush! Reload carefully!" - Hatano, the way you were yelling would make these soldiers more rushed!

"Reload faster, Sarah! Can you hear me?!"

"Sis, yes, sis!" - Sarah was pouring powder into the musket's hole while the soldiers had put the empty cartridges which now only had the metal balls into the muskets' barrels

"Shoot!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - Five more gunshots had been fired, the soldiers from the second line were making momentum stances to retreat behind the third line soldiers in case Hatano ordered them

"Good job, soldiers! All 5 hit, now retreat and reload!"

The second line soldiers fastly stepped back and stayed behind the first line soldiers while the third line soldiers were lining up and crouched while lifting their loaded muskets to the targets, ready to shoot at any time. The second line soldiers lifted the muskets' breeches as a signal to let Hatano know that the soldiers had done reloading the muskets and were ready to shoot in the next turn.

"Sigh...ahhhhhh!" - Sarah sighed a long line and moaned tiredly as she reloaded her musket, she dipped the metal rod into the barrel many times as she put the empty cartridge inside and then pulled the breech 

The other soldiers had reloaded the muskets within 11 to 12 seconds while that progress took this silly girl nearly 20 seconds, you had done your best, do better next time!

"Aim the enemies, a distance of 50 meters, ready to fire!"

The third-line soldiers immediately aimed their muskets at the wooden targets and then waited for Hatano's signal to let them shoot the guns. Sarah saw me when she was turning around after reloading her musket, she waved at me while crouching but her face kept showing that she was both happy and miserable, so funny!

"Shoot!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" - Five gunshots had been fired, the soldiers immediately withdrew their muskets while the barrels were popping out many white smokes

"Nice, soldiers! All hit, now retreat and reload!" - Hatano ordered the soldiers to retreat and they rushed back and stayed behind the second line soldiers

Sarah and first-line soldiers fastly lined up and lifted their muskets while Hatano was looking through the binoculars, the third-line soldiers were doing their best to reload their muskets. Instead of giving another order, Hatano kept 

"No need to shoot anymore, soldiers! All of you stand up and line up, keep the formation tight!"

The soldiers immediately stood up and then made only a horizontal line, holding their muskets tightly while pointing them forward, quite seriously. Sarah also looked at me and smiled, maybe she could not be serious, I didn't want to be violent but maybe handing her to my mom - Kaori would be a good choice to train her.

"Private Sarah, you lost your concentration, immediately make 30 pushups, now!"

"Ehhhh!" - Sarah was confused but later put down the musket and pressed her hands and her feet down on the ground to make pushups

Suddenly, my back felt to be tapped by someone, I peeked behind and saw Shera, my wife had stalked me that long, maybe I should talk to her. The soldiers later pulled out long blades which were stocked on the holsters on their chests and then attached the blades to the muskets' barrels, a true gun spear as I saw.

"Stab all the enemies you see, charge!"

"Yarrrrghhhhhhhhhh!" - The soldiers were madly running while pointing their muskets which were attached with a bayonet to the wooden targets 

Okay, now I wanted to analyze a bit, the previous formation was called "Three lines formation", a tactic in warfare to help the shooters from shooting faster to compensate for the weaknesses of muskets. Maybe I was wrong or right, I didn't know but the one who seemed to be the first to create this military tactic was Oda Nobunaga - a Japanese warlord of Japan's warring state of the 16th century.

During Japan's warring state, the Europeans were traveling around the world with the purpose to trade with foreigners but also finding weak nations to invade and occupy, sigh. Well, the muskets which Hatano's soldiers and Sarah used earlier seemed to be the models of the 18th century or something, not the ancient muskets but maybe I should head straight to the point.

Ummm...the Japanese also traded with the Europeans a few times when the Western merchants arrived on their ships to Japan during the warring state, but not much trade. Japan was quite close and conservative to trade with westerners at that time, they also imported muskets from the Portuguese merchants but mostly later dumped the guns due to their weaknesses during combat.

According to the info that I read on Wikipedia about the muskets in Japan during the warring state, mostly Japanese called the muskets "Tanegashima". 

Alright, most of the strategists of Japan underestimated the muskets because according to them, the muskets had powerful damage and were easy to use to train soldiers. But the muskets at that time were criticized because their heavy, reloading time was long and had a short firing range (about 80 to 100 meters - 87, 5 to 109 yards), also could not mount bayonets.

The muskets were also weak with water, during the rain time, the guns were easy to get wet and could not shoot, but Oda Nobunaga was quite opened and ordered 500 muskets from the Portuguese merchants for his army. To solve the weaknesses of the muskets, Nobunaga ordered the craftsmen in his lands to open workshops, learned the way to craft muskets and modified the guns by adding new features to prevent rain.

He also solved the reloading problem by making out a tactic "Three lines formation", the soldiers would form 3 horizontal lines, one line stay behind another line to wait for their turn. After the first line soldiers shot their muskets, they would stay behind the third line soldiers to reload, the second line would line up to shoot and stay behind the first line while the third line would repeat.

By doing that, the muskets had become unbeatable because they could fire constantly in a short time, what an excellent tactic of the old, guns changed ancient warfare. Well, the three of us were only applying the things we know in this fantasy world, we were using the things that the ones who went before had spent their entire lives to make them out, I must precious that.

Now the scene I was witnessing was quite crazy, Hatano must have intentionally done that for the soldiers, they were stabbing the wooden targets madly without stopping. About Sarah, she was very worried and bewildered at the actions the soldiers were doing so she ran back to Hatano, these soldiers were too exaggerating this normal training.

No enemies would be able to stand to fight against those dozens of stabs, maybe Hatano loved violence or something, must stop her quickly. Maybe tomorrow, I could not be soft with this subordinate because she was both reliable and dangerous at the same time, I must do something to make her become normal soon.

"Ummm...my wife, I'm hungry." - I looked behind and told Shera that I wanted to have breakfast now

Because we were so lucky when the Prime Minister was having a visit to Mosrasu - Attenta Kingdom's capital to meet Attenta King, both of them were best friends, quite an ambition.

But the military alliance would not be formed yet, this time was just a meeting to talk, just only talking about the relationships of each Kingdom before deciding to form. With the conditions, the military alliance must be shown to the public, leaders of all sides, from the Kings, the officials and the Lords must attend, quite struggle to Hoster.

"May I come with you to the Palace, John?" - Shera smiled at me when her hands were holding a wrapped box or something, I was wondering what was covered inside the box

"What you're doing, Shera?"

"Sis Stella is in her 4th month of pregnancy, I want to visit her to gift her these meals, very good for the baby, hehe."

"How long would you be gone for, Shera?" - I was quite controlling by suspecting my wife though she didn't do anything suspicious, I cannot stop my thoughts, poor Shera!

"Well, I would go with Reimi to visit sis Stella, talking to her and give her these meals and then go home."

"If I see interested, maybe I would go around the Palace to visit it and then go home, John." - Letting Shera and Reimi go with us on this journey was beyond my plan, maybe letting them go would not make any big problems

"Ok, please come inside, my wife." - I stood at the door and opened it out, letting Shera and Reimi come inside first and I went inside and closed the carriage's door

"Oh, hello, Princess." - Sarah greeted Shera cheerfully and then pulled out...a meal box under her seat to eat, she had eaten very much during breakfast, how deep was her stomach?
