Reimi's perspective - 2 days ago

I was now on my way back to my homeland, I didn't know why my travel was so advantageous when I didn't see any caravan on their way to my Kingdom. 

My Kingdom's relationship with Jager Kingdom was always good, we traded with them the most so the would-be many caravans of traders coming through this No Man Zone to get to Veta but I didn't see any of them.

Yawn! Seemed like sleeping with Sir Rigen made me didn't sleep so well, I cannot sleep when my heart kept pounding every time I was near him, but I managed to hide from him that I was sleepy. 

I had to stay up late, this time was about to dawn, I had returned to Veta in about one day, sooner than I expected, I must deliver the letter that Lerer gave me to Her Highness, he said to me that it was very important.

Oh! Wasn't that Her Highness? Did she wait for me outside of the border even with her guards? She very wanted to meet me...or she was waiting for me to bring back Sir Rigen, maybe it was the second one.

Then I slowly rode my horse to Her Highness, when she was waiting for me from far away. Her face looked a bit excited but when I got near her, Her Highness looked to be very frustrated. 

"Sorry, my Highness! But Sir Rigen chose to stay so I didn't have any chance to bring him back."

"Reimi!" - Her Highness called me when I was dismounting my horse

Then suddenly Her Highness stepped toward me while keeping her frustrated face, please calm down, my Highness!

"Reimi...where is Sir Rigen?" - Her Highness asked me, maybe I should talk to her in a private place

"My Highness, can we go somewhere private to talk about this? The guards are now staring at us."

Then Her Highness held my hands and led me to an inn located a bit close to the border gate. She told the guards to stay guard outside, seemed like Her Highness had placed this inn for days to wait for me.

After going inside her room, Her Highness locked the door and suddenly behaved her happy face.

"Reimi, tell me why Sir Rigen didn't come with you?" - What was wrong with you, my Highness? Why did you talk so slight to me?

"My Highness, I don't have anything to hide you, the thing is Sir Rigen said to me he didn't want to get back to you because he has work to do there." 

"Sir Rigen said to me that when he has done those things, he would return here to find you, I hope you understand, my Highness."

"Good! Then..." - Her Highness suddenly stepped to me while keeping that happy face

!!! Her Highness was near me as ever, I felt there was a thing that seemed very sharp pointing down my belly, Her Highness was now threatening me?

"Reimi, answer me honestly! How many days did you stay with Sir Rigen at the time you found him?" - Her Highness whispered to me with a happy face while pointing her knife to my belly

"Ah! My, I mean my Highness! I just stayed with Sir Rigen for two days and I didn't do anything! I swear to the Goddess, my Highness!"

"So in that two days, Reimi. Have you done anything with Sir Rigen?" - Her Highness said to me again while pointing the knife closer

"My Highness! My Highness!"

"Why are you so sweat?"

"I don't have anything to hide you, my Highness! I admit that I have slept with Sir Rigen!"

"Excuse me?" - Her Highness's voice was now changed to cold

"But Sir Rigen invited me to sleep with him when I forgot my money at the keep horse, my Highness! I slept in his room on the floor on the first day but we only shared the bed on the second day."

"I didn't do anything to Sir Rigen, my Highness!"

"It's good to hear my servant loyal to me like that." - Haah! Finally, Her Highness had calmed her voice down

"So...Reimi! Your body...is full of Sir Rigen's...smell?" - Yes, my Highness! But why did your face look morbid to me?

"Sniff! Sniff! Lick! Lick!" - My Highness! Why did you sniff and lick my body?

"Haa! Haa! So this is Sir Rigen's smell...so good!" - My Highness! Can you stop?

"Reimi, if Sir Rigen didn't return to me then did he give you something as my sorry gift in return?" - My Highness said to me after enjoying licking and sniffing my body

My Highness, I think you should get to a Healer now, your illness should be cured immediately. 

Your illness had appeared at the time you met Sir Rigen, what made your sickness have gone this far, my Highness? 

"Reimi!" - Her Highness spoke to me while pointing her knife closer

"Yes, my Highness! Sir Rigen has given me his medal named dog tag, He said that he didn't need it, I hope this will relieve yo-" - Her Highness suddenly snatched the dog tag 

She did that before I could end my line, but I felt that Her Highness was pointing her knife out of my body. I was sweating all the time during that conversation.

"Why did you sweat so much, Reimi? It's just a wooden knife, it is harmless, you know?" - Her Highness showed me the knife, it was just a wooden knife that made by herself

Though Her Highness said to me the knife was harmless but I could feel its sharpness through the way Her Highness pointed it to my body.

"This!!! Sir Rigen's dog tag! Haah! Haah! Lick! Lick! Lick! Lick!" - My Highness, stop!

"Sniff! Sniff! My smell, my saliva is now wetting in Sir Rigen's dog tag!!!!" - My Highness! I think you should get to a Healer

"My Highness!"

"What, Reimi? Don't disturb me, I'm now very happy!" - Her Highness was even slowly swallowing Sir Rigen's dog tag, trying to make it as wet as possible

"I think you should get to a Healer now, my Highness! Your sickness needs to be cured."

"What sickness, Remi? I'm fine! I was just happy so I behaved a bit unusual, I'm fine! Don't worry!" - My Highness, you were about to chew Sir Rigen's dog tag!

"Huh? What is this, Reimi? Don't disturb my happiness." - Her Highness after seeing Lerer's letter, she pulled Sir Rigen's dog tag out of her mouth and took the letter with both of her hands were full of her saliva

Then Her Highness, uhh! She...wore Sir Rigen's dog tag to her neck but it was full of your saliva, my Highness! 

Then Her Highness opened the envelope and read the letter inside.

After focusing on the letter's words for a few lines, Her Highness's eyes suddenly opened wide, as if she found something suspicious.

"Reimi, we have to go back to the Capital now, I need you to investigate this for me." - Her Highness spoke to me with a serious voice

"What's in the letter, my Highness?"

"I will tell you when we return, we have to go now, Reimi." - Her Highness started packing up her stuff, seemed like the thing that had been written in the letter was something important

"Reimi, I see that you are sleepy, you can't sleep with Sir Rigen?" - Her Highness asked me

"Yes, my Highness! I don't want to disturb your loved one and also I didn't want to take Sir Rigen away from you."

"What a good servant, Reimi! You are allowed to sleep inside the carriage."

"The return will last in hours so just take that time to sleep, I will tell you the things you need to investigate later." - My Highness, thank you very much!

Back to the present

"Sir Rigen, you don't remember me? It's me, Reimi Frieden!" - I didn't see Sir Rigen's response at all so I talked to him again

I was very surprised to know that Sir Rigen had returned, maybe he left Lerer to get back to Her Highness. 

It was very good to know when I was in the mid of the investigation, maybe I should tell Sir Rigen to follow me to help me...or lead him to meet Her Highness.

At first, I thought Sir Rigen's group was the rebels that remained in the Capital by the way he went with his friends while wearing hoods. 

I didn't notice much about the people Sir Rigen had gone with him, must be his friends.

Sir Rigen and his friends wore green hood clothes, which was very suspicious to me because they didn't go in a group like the missionaries. 

But when I saw Sir Rigen's bag, his magic tool and his face from far away, I had sure that was him.

"Commander, we are now so outstanding in the street, please tell that woman to lower her voice down or we will open fire." - A black-haired woman who wore a hood tapped Sir Rigen's shoulder and talked to him in the language that looked similar to his homeland's language

"You rude woman! How dare you touch Sir Rigen without my permission!" - I was so mad when someone touched Sir Rigen, I was about to draw out my sword

"Reimi." - Sir Rigen raised his hand to tell me to halt and pointed his thumb out to me see as if to tell me something

Ah! I saw that the crowds were now staring at us, and some guards were now walking toward us.

"You people, what are-" - The guards shouted to us but I pulled out the imperial card to let them see

The Imperial card was a card that had the Warsaw crest in the middle of the card, only the Royal Guard was allowed to bring it. 

If I showed this thing to the guards, they would know that I was a Royal Guard and they would stop disturbing me.

"Ah! You are, sorry for disturbing you, miss!" - The guards apologized to us

"But miss! About the people you were talking to, who are they?" - One of the guards asked me

"Oh, they are the important guests of Sunshine, they are fine, they just have come here the first time so they didn't know where to go so I have to wait here to pick up them."

Sunshine was one of many types of Warsaw royal families' codenames, Sunshine meant Princess, luckily that Her Highness had taught me this. 

She said if I found Sir Rigen while he was questioned by the guards while coming here then I would save him in that way.

Every Warsaw guard and soldier had to learn these codenames by heart in case they got into the situations that needed to use them.

"So they are the honored guests, we understood, sorry for disturbing all of you, we will go now! Long live the Great Warsaw!" - The guards said to us then went away to do their guard

Long live the Great Warsaw, that word was now in the history, our Kingdom was very big back then but when we chose to humble before Attenta Kingdom 30 years ago, most of our territories had been taken over by the Attentan people.

"Reimi, get over here a bit." - Sir Rigen pulled my hand to an empty alley as if he wanted to say something 

When we got into the alley, I had noticed more about the people Sir Rigen was going with, they had all removed their hoods, those were two women. 

One was a white had brown ponytail hair with wide blue eyes, the other one was also a white though her skin was not as white as ours, she had a long...black-haired? 

I've never seen a woman with this kind of hair before, but what gave me a bit of shiver was that woman's black eyes and her emotionless face.

"Sir Rigen, may I ask you? Who are those women you are going with?"

"Like I tell you and Shera before, I was traveling with my soldiers but then I got lost, luckily that I found them when I was on my way here." - Sir Rigen said that, so these were Sir Rigen's subordinates

"But Commander, w-" - The brown-haired woman wanted to talk something but her mouth was shut off by the black-haired woman

"Oh, I forgot to introduce my name to you two, my name is Reimi Frieden, the servant of H-" - Suddenly Sir Rigen shooked his head as if to tell me something when I talked

Sir Rigen wanted me to hide Her Highness's identity? If that was true then he didn't want to show that to his subordinates.

"I mean I'm the servant of Lady Shera, it's good to meet you two."

Then the black-haired woman put her hand out the brown-haired woman's mouth, they seemed to want to introduce themselves to me. 

"Okay, my name is Sarah Hatano, it's good to see you, Reimi." - The brown-haired woman introduced her name to me, she spoke very comfortably

So this girl was a noble, but her surname Hatano made me feel that name was very odd, didn't look like ours. 

Though they came from the place of Sir Rigen but Sir Rigen's surname was still similar to ours, not like this woman.

"Shizuka...Hatano..." - The black-haired woman, what was that strange way of talking? Also that weird surname, these girls were sisters? And they were all nobles?

Though Sir Rigen had spent days learning our language to master his stress and grammar while speaking but these women had mastered it, maybe they had learned them when they got split up with him.

"Commander, who is this Reimi?" - The woman named Sarah asked Sir Rigen in his homeland's language

"Lady Sarah, please speak in our Englis, I want to understand what you say."

"Oh, okay!" - Sarah said back to me by using the word "okay", the way the people in Sir Rigen's homeland call each other made me feel it was very odd

"Commander, who is this Reimi?" - Sarah asked Sir Rigen while calling him a title "Commander", that title, Sir Rigen must be someone very special in his homeland's military

"Ah, like I said to you, Sarah! Reimi and Shera were the people I followed when I got lost, they are my friends." - Sir Rigen talked back to Sarah

"That's all? No more special relationship?" - Why I saw Sarah a bit frustrated, she even stared at me

"No."

Then Sarah stopped staring at me but she opened a happy smile at me, I felt odd about this woman, then I remembered what I wanted to ask Sir Rigen, maybe I should ask him now.

"Sir Rigen, why did you get here so soon, you said to me that you would stay in Swei town until you are done learning swordsmanship from Lerer?"

After hearing what I asked, Sir Rigen held his head as if he was sad.

"Reimi, you didn't know anything?" - Sir Rigen asked me as if to verify my word

"No, Sir Rigen! What do you mean?'

Lerer died? I always wanted him dead but why did I feel so sad this time? I saw that he didn't bad as I thought. 

Lerer had been blamed to be the one who led the rebels in the coup ten years ago but if he didn't then who would be the perpetrator? The Prime Minister?

"But Reimi, let's talk about Lerer later, do you know where is Shera?" - Sir Rigen asked me while I was still thinking about Lerer, maybe I should stop now

"Sir Rigen, Lady Shera is now in an inn near here but I'm sorry, Sir Rigen! I must fulfill my investigation first before I can lead you to her." - I would whisper to Sir Rigen this time

"What kind of investigation?" - Sir Rigen asked me

"I'm now investigating the people that alleged to join the previous coup, Her Highness said to me those details are inside the letter that Lerer gave me."

"Sir Rigen, I need your help, I want to capture that man to question him, I was keeping my eyes on the street to wait for him but then three of you appeared."

"I am scared that I will lose his track, please Sir Rigen! Help me!" - I had done my whisper so I stayed away from Sir Rigen

"I came here because I want to meet you two, but the main part is to warn you something." - Sir Rigen whispered to me

"There is a woman who claimed herself a prophet, she said to me that the Capital of Warsaw Kingdom will have a big explosion in the next days."

"I can't verify whether her words are true or not but I heard that your Kingdom will hold a kind of a ceremony to summon heroes or something."

"Maybe the rebels or other hostile factors will take the chance to attack, that might be the cause of the explosion. I want you to tell Shera to tell her father to hold off the ceremony." - Sir Rigen stepped away from me and looked at me with his cautious eyes

What did Sir Rigen just had said to me? A secret attack from the rebels? Do they want to aim at His Majesty in the ceremony?

"But Sir Rigen, the ceremony is a sacred event, we cannot stop it! Ah, sorry! I just made my voice so loud."

"But we have to stop it at all costs, ignore your investigation, Reimi! Let's go back to Shera, I want to warn her."

"But!"

"If we warn Shera and her father then we can stop the bad things that are about to happen in the future."

"Yes, Sir Rigen! I understood, I don't want to leave my duty like this but, I will follow your order this time, please follow me."

"You two!" - Sarah stared at us, she seemed a bit frustrated

"What, Sarah?" - Sir Rigen asked Sarah

"Nothing, hmmp!" - Sarah turned around at went back to the girl named Shizuka

Seemed like Sarah's sister, I didn't know if she was her big sis or her little sis. Maybe Shizuka was Sarah's big sis by the way she patted her sister's head when she returned.

"Please follow me." - I held off my investigation and went back to Her Highness with Sir Rigen and his people

Rigen's perspective

Then we followed Reimi to the inn where Shera was now staying, I felt odd about Sarah, she always talked much but when she saw Reimi, she kept silent like Hatano, what was wrong with her?

When we got there, we saw an old woman who looked to be the inn's owner standing at the stall, she noticed our appearance.

"Sir Rigen, we will return to our Imperial Palace tonight but at least I want to rent your room and your subordinates' rooms to stay here first." - Reimi said to me

"I will rent an empty room, Hatano and Sarah will share the room." 

"Ewa, I want to rent the rooms for these people." - Reimi talked to Ewa, the owner of the inn

After the room rents, Reimi gave us the room's keys then told us to go with her to Shera's room.

When we got to the room I considered to be Shera's room, Reimi knocked on the door.

"Knock! Knock! My-, I mean Sunshine, I'm sorry that I held off my investigation but I have come back with Sir Rigen!" - Reimi seemed to want to avoid calling Shera by Princess title

Of course, I wanted her to do that because my subordinates were here with me, it would cause problems that I didn't expect.

"What!" - The door suddenly opened and Shera was now standing on the other side

I saw that Shera was now wearing a white dress, she looked so beautiful, her face seemed very happy to see me.

"Sir Rigen!" - Suddenly Shera hugged me

"Ah! Sorry, Sir Rigen!" - After hugging me for a few seconds, Shera stepped away from me with a red face

"Sir Rigen, who are the people that following you?" - Shera pointed her hand to Hatano and Sarah, who was now behind me

"Ah, Shera! They are Hatano and Sarah, my subordinates, I lost them when I woke up in Tod forest but I managed to find them when I got here."

"That's so? But who are these Hatano and Sarah, Sir Rigen?" - Shera asked me with a frustrated face, were you also in your period like Sarah?

"Commander! Who is this Shera?" - This was the third time I got asked this same question, why did you two so mad?

"Sarah, Shera is just my friend! Shera, Hatano and Shera are just my subordinates, that's all."

When we got inside, Shera had set up two chairs opposite each other, she sat on one of the chairs, I also sat opposite her, about to talk about something.

Sarah and Hatano were now standing behind me, and Reimi stood behind Shera.

"Sir Rigen, you got back here soon made me so glad! Reimi said to me that you would stay in Swei town for a while." - Okay! I must tell Shera now

"Shera, I was hunted by your brother, he targeted me as the most wanted in the town so I managed to get here before the quest about hunting me got posted."

"What! I didn't know that my brother did this!" - Shera was so shocked

"Are you hurt, Sir Rigen?" - Shera seemed very worried about me

"No, Shera! I'm fine."

"That's so? I'm so glad to hear that." - Shera seemed very relieved but she still looked around me as if to check on me if I was still injured or not

"But Shera, the reason I came here today is not just to meet you and Reimi, I have something more important that I want to warn you about."

"What's it, Sir Rigen?"

"Th-"

"You are Shera or something? The way you speak to my Commander is too familiar, too friendly, it makes me angry."

"Please keep your distance from him, Shera! I will be very unpleasant every time I see you talk to him like that." - Sarah suddenly spoke to Shera with a frustrated face

What was wrong with Sarah?

"You bitch! You dare to talk to my master like that?" - Reimi seemed very mad, she always liked that

"You know who you are talking to? This is the Crown Princess of the Kingdom of Warsaw, Shera Soone!" - Reimi shouted loud to Sarah, seemed like I had to stop this thing

"Sarah, just apologizes Shera honestly, I will forgive you this time."

Sarah seemed to have a bit of regret after saying those words to Shera, she bowed her head to Shera and was about to apologize to her.

"I'm very so-"

"You don't need to apologize to that woman, Sarah!" - Hatano suddenly spoke, why did you make this situation more complicated? 

"Sis, but!"

"Do not sorry!"

"You dare! You don't see my Highness as nothing?" - Reimi was now about to lose her control, she even held her sword, her hand was shaking very much and about to draw

"I don't care if you are Princess or something, even if you are a God, you are nothing but trashes in my eyes."

"Do not talk to my little sister like you are her owner, she has the right to say that to you!" - Dammit! Hatano, I must do something!

"Stop, you two!"

"I will kill you, you bitch!" - Reimi had lost her control and was about to draw her sword out when she saw Hatano insulting Shera

She wanted to kill Hatano, I saw that in her dead eyes and her anger. Suddenly Hatano made a strong kick at Reimi's sword's grip when she was about to draw it.

"Ah!" - Reimi being kicked down on the floor

The kick was so strong and her left hand was very near to the sword when it was about to be drawn so the blade had hit her gauntlet. 

Luckily that Reimi was wearing forearm protectors in both of her hands so the blade just hit but didn't cause bleeding.

"Raargh!" - Hatano roared loud made me shocked

When I had time to notice, Hatano had now grabbed Shera, she was now holding her as a human shield with her KA-BAR knife was now pointing at Shera's throat.

"My Highness!" - Reimi stood up in pain and shaking because she saw Shera's life was in danger

"You little Princess! Is this the first time you got choked It's pain, isn't it?" - Hatano talked very cold to Shera

"Your servant is lucky, I will give her a very memorable moment, I will kill you here!" - Hatano after talking that to Shera, she chocked her tighter

"Cough! Cough! Cough!" - Shera was now being chocked, cannot move

"Please spare my Highness! I will do anything, I will do anything!" - Reimi begged Hatano

She even kneeled on the ground, ready to kiss Hatano's boots, letting Hatano insult her, this girl was a very loyal servant.

"Hatano, stop right now! I will forgive you this time!"

"Why don't you shoot me or do anything to stop me but just talk, Commander? Pathetic!" - Hatano even smiled, if I didn't do anything then Shera would have died

"Sis, stop! Stop!" - Sarah seemed very unpleasant about this, she even cried a bit

"Sarah?" - Hatano stopped that smile then she released Shera

"My Highness!" - Reimi rushed herself to pick up Shera

Shera was now still coughing but her life had now out of danger. I must go on strict with Hatano or she would disobey my order anymore that would also affect Sarah if she followed Hatano.

"Tch! You lucky, you little Princess." - Hatano went toward Sarah, she didn't have any regret after doing all of these

"Rargh!" - Reimi was now still mad, she charged at Hatano with her fists, about to punch her

Then Hatano pulled Reimi's hand down to the ground, she kicked a strong blow to Reimi's face.

"Tch!" - Hatano even spat at Reimi then went away

"Sis, yo-"

"Let's go, Sarah! Let's get back to our room." - Hatano pulled Sarah out of the room

"But sis, Reimi is wounded!"

"Go with me, Sarah." - Hatano pulled her sister tighter

When they had away, I looked back to Reimi, Shera was now covering Reimi's nose. Her nose was now bleeding very much, seemed like Hatano had broke Reimi's noise or something.

"Reimi, let's get to the Healer!" - Shera helped Reimi up and ran outside of the room

"I will go with you!" - I ran toward Shera and Reimi, I wanted to help them

"Arghh! Arggh!" - Reimi was now screaming in pain, she should have been silent to hold the blood from her nose

"Don't say anything, Reimi! Talk later when you are fully healed."

Then we had to go together out of the inn to lead Reimi to the nearby Healer.
