Chapter 8: Ailia Town (Part 2)

Seems like our situation is very serious now, some of the people coming out of the Adventurer's Guild and start shouting, pointing their hands towards me, some of them also insulting me.

Princess Shera must be ashamed while holding my hand to get to a safe place while walking pass the bunch of crowds who are pointing their attention at me. 

"Hey! You see that? That guy is powerless!"

"That filthy powerless should not be hanging around with that noble woman!"

"How could a powerless can have the right to appear in our land?"

"Powerless people are not human, they even worse than the slaves!"

I heard all of that, you people! I'm very angry, very very angry right now. I want to rush into the people who insulted me and smash their heads, but I managed to calm myself down.

Now, I only feel sorry when Shera and her people accidentally got involved in my problem. Their reputations must be downgraded because of that if the people here know they come from the Royal family.

Shera now seems very ashamed, I can see her tears are in her eyes, about to flow out.

Then Shera holding my right hand tighter, runs faster while asking her brother, Hoster the direction to their Inn.

"Brother! Where is our Inn?" - Shera shouted loudly

"About 200 meters, left side!" - Hoster answered his sister

After hearing what Hoster said, Shera held my hand, running as fast as she could to the direction he told. Reimi and Hoster also run fast to keep up with us.

In a short time, the Inn has appeared in front of us, it is a very big Inn and very well built, Shera heads towards the Inn's door, rushing with me inside.

A woman standing at the stall looked like the Inn's owner, she didn't have a second to react when we got in suddenly.

"Hey! Who are you people, why did you people get in here? You people just smashed my door, you broke it, pay the money now!"

"I will pay for the damages, madam! And also I want to rent new rooms!" - Hoster and Reimi just got in after us, they seems a little tired when they had to run away from the crowds

Shera is now still holding my hand, she sighs, feeling a little relieved after getting rid of the crowds.

Then I see about 50 people wearing armors like soldiers with the emblems of a Knight holding a sword raising up the sky that stick on their right shoulders.

Those emblems belong to the Warsaw Kingdom.

"We're all glad to see you get here safety, My High-" - Some soldiers were about to bow to Shera

"Do that later! Now I don't have time for that!" - Shera ordered the soldiers 

"Shera, you get in room number 25 up the stairs! I just have rented it for you!" - Hoster talked to Shera

"Thank you, brother!" - Shera thanks her brother and takes me with her into that room

While going into that room, I can hear loud noises from below. I also look out of the window, the crowds are now gathering around the Inn, they are shouting, yelling at me. 

Some of them also hold weapons or wooden sticks and point at me when they see me and Shera going up the stairs.

"Soldiers! We have to stop the crowds now!" - Hoster ordered to the soldiers, he shouted too loud that I could even hear

I and Shera are now in the room, she immediately closed the door, Shera is now sitting on the chair, holding her head.

She seemed very confused about what she had been through.

I look out of the windows, I can see the crowds are now being stopped gradually by the soldiers of Hoster. They drew their swords, and shout loud to the crowds, telling them to leave.

Then I see Reimi, who is now joining with the soldiers on the street.

Reimi draws her sword, and threatens the crowds she will kill anyone of them if they dare to get closer to the Inn.

"Oh, so you have guts, huh? Lady! You should not be hanging around to protect that powerless animal, I am sure he cannot satisfy you, the powerless people's health is very weak!"

"Your body is very hot and sexy, every man wants you, you should hang out with me instead!" - An alcoholic trying to flirt with Reimi

Then a terrible incident happened in front of my eyes, Reimi angrily stabbed her sword into that man's chest, and that man later fell to the ground with blood coming out of his body.

"See it? Anyone who dares to get closer will be ended up like this man!" - Reimi warned the crowds, her voice is now cold like a psychopath

"You! Yes, I point at you! Get this man to a healer, this scumbag is not dead yet!" - Reimi ordered a man in the middle of the crowds

Then, the crowds that were chasing us earlier ran away, and some of the people brought that wounded man to the nearest healer, the situation has settled down completely. 

After 15 minutes, I look out of the windows again, seems like everything is okay for now.

"Sir Rigen! Please sit, I have something to talk to you about!" - Shera talked to me with a serious face

"Reimi, you stay here and do the guard, don't let anyone get in this room, even my dear brother!"

"Understood! My Highness!" - Reimi bowing her head and doing the guard right away

Before we have a conversation, Reimi had gotten out of the room. She told the soldiers and Hoster not to get in the room, she said that was Shera's wish.

I'm now sitting on the chair opposite Shera, her voice is trembling a little bit, then she begins to talk.

"Sir Rigen! Why did you lie to us?" - Shera questioned me

"Wait a minute, Princess! Before you ask me, I want to ask you first, why did you lie to me that you didn't tell me you are a Princess?"

Shera after hearing my words, she confused and thought something, maybe she is trying to find a reasonable reason for that.

"I was being chased by the Assassins at that time! And it was very dangerous to trust someone that you didn't know!"

"I wanted to be sure that you are trustworthy for me, Sir Rigen!" - Shera trying to explain

"The first thing I always do to trust someone that I don't know about is to suspect them, I'm very sorry because of that inconvenience, Sir Rigen!" 

I can feel the truth in Shera's eyes, she is not lying to me, she has told me the truth, and she did the right thing.

I look at myself, even saying the truth is the thing that I can't say to her, I always lie to her and Reimi.

"But there are some cases, very rare! About the children born with very low magic powers, they still have magic elements in their bodies but they cannot cast any magic!"

"The health of people who can't cast magic is very weak, most of them live illness, and they all have to struggle to live in this tragic world!" - Shera has now done her explanation, she is waiting for my answer

Sorry! Shera, Reimi! I have to lie again! You two are too honest!

"About the question you asked me, Princess!"

Then I take my M4A1 Assault Rifle and put it on the table, I also remove Advisor from my right hand and put it in front of Shera.

"This is a magic weapon of my homeland, this is called a gun, its destruction is beyond your knowledge."

"I can't cast magic but with this thing in my hands, I won't lose in any battles even if I have to fight against 100 men!"

That was just a joke, I cannot fight against 100 men even if they only had melee weapons, I will run out of ammo before I can kill all of them.

"And the thing in front of you is a magic item, it is called Advisor! It can talk and do many different things that you can't think about!"

Then I turn on Advisor in front of the girls, Reimi has left her duty and goes closer to Advisor, she is very curious, and also Shera.

Then Advisor's screen turns on, glowing a green screen, the girls are now very curious when seeing it. 

I have already turned off the special conversation function since the time I got to the room so Reimi and Shera are now can hear Advisor talk.

"Advisor! Say hello to the ladies!"

"Hello, ladies! My name is Advisor!"

Shera and Reimi are now shocked when they heard Advisor talk, they go silent.

I immediately take back Advisor and return my rifle into the bag before they could ask me any more questions.

After returning my rifle to the bag, I look at Shera, she is now shaking , about to fall.

"My Highness! Watch out!" - Reimi managed to grab Shera's shoulders to prevent her from falling

"Sir Rigen! How many parts of your story are true?" - Shera asked me, her face is now still shocked

"All of it! I don't have anything to lie to you, Princess! You told me the truth, I also did the same to pay my respect!" - Of course, the part that the people in my world can use magic was just a lie

Sorry, Princess! 

"But you have to be careful, Sir Rigen! The people in this place don't like the powerless, maybe you are normal like them but if you can't cast magic, you will be considered useless after all!" - Shera seems very care for me

"Sir Rigen! Maybe you should stay in this Inn until the time we depart to return to our homeland, we will bring you with us too!"

"The people in our homeland may not notice your unusual so you will be safe there!" - Reimi also cares for me

Then Reimi kneels her one leg down on the floor, holding her sword in front of her face, closing her eyes and reciting the promise that she made for me.

I'm now being protected by these girls, huh? But I cannot depend on them too much. They must be thinking about using me as their puppet if they had a chance.

Though they are all honest but I still suspect them at some points, I cannot believe anyone that I just have met in a short time!

I'll now think about hiding my identity from the people around here, though I see it won't help much, I have to protect myself now.

Thank you for your help, Shera, and Reimi! But I think that you should care more about yourself than about me.

I hope I won't make myself your enemy in the future, it was very fun, very memorable since I met you two, Reimi! Shera! 

But from now on, I will have to keep my distance a little bit from you now, Shera, Reimi! Thank you two for everything!
