“Lets take a look at what I’ve gathered so far” I say as I wipe the dirt from my hands and scroll to my inventory screen.

“Not bad of me for stumbling in the dark, I really need to start a fire or find someway to make a torch.”
New Quest: [Make a fire]
Do like the cavemen do and create a fire to escape the dark and the cold
Objective: Be as smart as a caveman and make a fire
Reward: +2 Stat of your choosing
“Oh screw you, its on my list of things to do” I say as I shake my hand at the popup menu. Well, I guess there is no time like the present I suppose. I gather up some of the local dead leaves and grass and put them in a somewhat neat pile. I then remove all the pieces of wood from my inventory to ensure I have wood to add to the fire if I’m ever so lucky to build one.
I don’t have a lighter or anything that would be remotely helpful here so I will just have to make one by rubbing two sticks together like I’ve seen in movies. “Please God let it be as easy as it seems like it is in the movies” I say with a sigh.
I take the thickest and flattest piece of wood I can find in my inventory, as well as the sharpest rock I can find. I take my rock and leave a channel down the middle of the wood. The channel runs lengthwise down the center. I grab one of the sticks I placed before hand and I begin thrusting one end back and forth, with decent pressure, across the softwood channel. I do this over and over again until I start to see the collection of dust appear. It begins to collect at the edge of the channel.
I continue to do this for what feels like hours, I feel beads of sweat start to form around my forehead. “They make this seem so easy on tv’s and movies, fuck you Hollywood for lying to me” I say with gasps of air and exhaustion.
I keep going back and forth with my stick against the soft wood hoping and praying for some type of result. As If my prayers have finally been answered I feel the heat coming from the softwood and then after a few more sweat filled moments of wanting to keep this momentum going I see the smoke. The dust starts to turn dark and then black and then I finally see the embers glow.
“Thank you, God,” I say with tears or sweat it’s really too hard to tell at this point. I then carefully dump the embers into my pile of tinder by tipping the softwood over the ember. I lightly blow on that ember and see the most beautiful thing I have ever seen as the embers catch the tinder. I add more tinder around that ember and continue to blow until I finally see a flame begin to form.
“Oh yeah look at that shit” I say while pointing at the small flame slowly getting bigger as I add more kindling in. I slowly add a couple of my sticks and wood pieces as I’m convinced that the fire won’t immediately die down. I dance around the fire like a mad man singing “Burn baby burn disco inferno Burn baby burn burn that mother down”

I stop dancing to properly think about my decision on which stat I should increase. “I’m really torn on what I should increase, on one hand I think I should increase either my HP or MP, but on the other hand my ATK is at an 8 and it seems like every time I cross 10 points in a stat I get some new skill” I say as I rub my chin in careful consideration.
“When I had the fight with the Ape having skills not only saved my life but it also helped me kill the bastard” I say as I snap my fingers “I’m going to go with strength”.

“That’s a decent amount lets get started with making some bindings, because most of the items I can craft need bindings”
Crafting:
Misc:
Bindings:
5/4 Palm Tree Leaves
I click the bindings icon twice, and with a flash of light two strips of thin looking rope appeared in my hands.
“Sweet” I say as I move the two strips of rope into my inventory. “Next I really need some shoes I hate almost constantly stepping on sticks and stones basically stabbing my feet all the time”.
Crafting:
Armor:
Ape Leather Shoes:
1/1 Ape Hide
2/1 Binding
“Come here you sweet sweet footwear” I say as I click the shoes icon. A pair of shoes appears in my hands. The shoes are brown in color almost orange in fact and they are tall enough to go up halfway up my shin. The leather at the top folds to make a fold-over top, lastly the laces are located in the back of the shoes.
“They almost look like pirate boots” I say as I slip them on my feet and tie the laces tight, so they don’t get loose. “But what do I care shoes are shoes”
Ape Leather Shoes:
+2DEF, +2SPD, +1RES, 50/50 durability
Shoes obtained from the flesh of a Red Eyed Torment Ape.
“Badass, I need to get the whole set now” I say as I stand up and run around a while to test out my new shoes. “Alright now that I got some actual footwear its time to find something to defend myself with.

Bone Axe:

Stone Spear:

10/2 Basic Wood
1/1 Binding
“So many choices hmmmmm” I say as I rub my face “I guess I’ll have to go with the Bone Axe”. I click on the icon for the bone axe and the crafting screen glows yet again. A hand axe weighing about 5 pounds made of bone appears in my hands. The handle is made of solid pale bone, with a piece of rock attached at the top with the familiar binding that I made earlier in the day. I place my thumb against the rock to test for the sharpness of it and to my surprise it is sharp enough to cut my finger just by applying a little bit of pressure.
Bone Axe:
+5 ATK, +3 Axe DMG, 80/80 Durability
1-Handed Axe made out of the bones of your falling enemies.
“That’s a very menacing item description” I say as I cringe “It makes me sound like I’m some sort of serial killer”.
“I must say though it does make me look like a badass” I say as I spin the axe around hand “If there are any more apes out there it won’t be that easy to take me out”. Now that I have an axe, I should probably cut down a tree or something to get some more firewood. I look around to find the driest looking tree I can find, once I spot a tree that looks like it would give away after a few good whacks. I line my axe next to the tree and give it a few good practice swings.
“HERE GOES NOTHING” I shout as I swing my bone axe across the tree. My axe gets stuck in the tree and takes a little effort to remove it, but once I do I notice that my axe has made about a 3 inch gash in the tree.
“Wow just after one swing this axe is bad ass” I say as I hug my axe “I’ll have this tree cut down in no time”. I continue the process of cutting down the tree by striking the tree a few more times, until I receive a system pop up.

***Dehydrated***
You will Continue to lose MP until thirst is quenched, MP lose will increase the longer you go without drinking. It’s sad that this also has to be explained. You need to drink something dumbass.
“God, you sound like a nagging mother” I say as I shake my head “This thing is right though but its weird that I don’t really feel hungry or thirsty. Maybe its adrenaline or something I don’t know, but that shouldn’t be the case I should have calmed down by now”. I place my axe in my inventory and go back to my makeshift camp.
“It’s finally time to eat this steak” I say as I pull the ape steak out of my inventory. I grab a nearby stick and pierce my steak with it and hold it over the fire.
“Man, I really miss my pots and pans, I mean what I wouldn’t give for my old cast iron skillet” I say as I stare at my steak cooking in the fire. The aroma of the cooking steak wafts through my nose, and I begin to salivate.
“Oh man this is going to be so good; I can’t wait until its done” I say as I lick my lips excitedly anticipated the sweet taste of steak. However, it seems like life has other plans for me as the stick that was holding my steak in place suddenly snaps and my steaks falls ever so sadly onto the burnt ash on the ground.
“Oh nonononononononono” I say as I hurry to find another stick in hopes of salvaging my steak. I find the closest stick I can find, and I fish my steak out.
“Nooooooooooooo it’s got dirt and ash on it” I say as I blow on the steak “This is gross but I’m still gonna eat this”. I take a bite out my steak and it’s like I thought when I first got the steak its really tough and I probably could have cooked it longer, but I don’t want to risk another stick breaking. I chew and a gnaw at the steak until I have it fully devoured.

“Nice now am I not only suffering from starvation, but I got the nice little surprise of the attack bonus” I say as I bump my fist in the air. “I wonder if that works for all food in this world or just food that I craft, or maybe its due to it being a monster meat, I guess I’ll find out once I get some more food.”
“I haven’t found any river streams or anything like that so I’ll just have to suffer for a while until I can find something to drink” I say as I throw in a few more pieces of wood to the fire. I stand up and go back to the tree I was cutting earlier. I pull my axe out of my inventory and continue striking the tree, with each strike I feel the power of the ape steak coursing through me. After a few more minutes of me striking the tree, it succumbs to my assault and falls to the ground. As it crashes to the ground it makes a tremendous crashing sound and shakes the earth.
“Ummmm Timber” I sheepishly say, “I sure hope nothing heard that”. I walk up to the fallen tree and admire my handy work.
“Just call me Paul Bunyan” I say as I shrug my shoulders “I wonder if I can add the entire tree into my inventory”. I kneel down closer to the fallen tree and open my inventory and try to push my screen onto the tree. As soon as my inventory screen comes in contact with the tree it disappears.
