Revi's PoV:
After I left those perverted idiots behind, it didn't take much time to find the target...but I have my doubts here. Is that the agent? It looks quite different from what I imagined it to be.
No, isn't it just a regular old, albeit big, Slime!? It's no different from Kaimana in the lake-part of Damavand! Though, it is more yellow than Kaimana.
Huh? Wait, didn't Garami say something about the agents being all Curse Creatures? Why a Slime? Or is it a Curse Creature that just looks like a Slime? And it's...not going mellow over those thin books. There's something it's obsessed with over there at least...trash?
No, it rather looks like those metal things that can be found in Damavand...or, they look like the parts of the destroyed mecha-mechas that black clown from Tir na Nog commanded.
Argh, I'm not getting anywhere like this! [Identification], do your worst!
Iik! It did its worst for real! What is this thing!? Oh, right. It's not a Slime. Got it.
It's too busy looking at those weird parts, meaning I could hit it with a surprise attack, right? Slimes are generally the worst to fight against anyway, so let's use a little Witchcraft here to take the Death Spear spell and convert some of its instant-death rates into pure power and...FIRE!
The spear of black miasma shot out from the customized magic circle and struck the slime! And it didn't take long for the slime to start melting!
I won! Maybe these Curse Creatures are naturally weak to magic? That explains why they live down here. Not that it is doing them any good! This bracelet Garami gave me puts a stop to that strate...gy...
Huh? What the heck? The slime's getting back up on its...feet? Hey, you were hit with an attack-specialized Death spell! Why are you shrugging it off like it was nothing!? Identification and...whoa-!
Its HP went uuuup!? Even his SP!? Did he eat the Death Spear or something!?
"......" - Slime
Geh!? It's looking at me! It's seriously locked-on to me! But it's not preparing to attack? Let's use the chance to find more about it. Its Skill List is...just a mess, but maybe examining its race could give me some light on the situation?
"A pervert!?" - Revi
I couldn't stop myself from shouting out as I read the Identification Results. Well, I could be wrong...please say I am wrong.
"......loli." - Slime
"What?" - Revi
"Loli-witch with messy, green hair, so moe~! And dragon horns, moe~~! I wanna smell her, I wanna taste her, I wanna look at her all day~! I wanna stalk her, I wanna steal her clothes, I wanna sniff her underwear~! I wanna break her fingers, I wanna strangle her throat, I wanna see her face be warped by pain and fear and drink her tears and snot~! I wanna dress her up, I wanna see her act, I wanna see her be humiliated in front of everyone she holds dear~! I wanna-" - Slime
Gueh-!? Huh, what the-? Oh, Walaphiris!! My trusty cursed witch hat! He used his Spectral Hand to drag me away from that...that...that creep! Hii!! It's following us!
I turned around and started to run for my dear, DEAR life! Activate [Energy Warfare] and [Mystic Warfare]! Also, [Dragon Power]!! I have to run! Run, run, run, run, run, RUN!!
"Oh, Revi-chan. Where did you-WHAT THE HECK'S THAT!?" - Grunt
Ah, I've returned to the idiots-, no, the brave warriors who took up their weapons when they saw I was chased by that.
"Hey, Miss Revi found the agent for us! Time to earn our pay, guys!" shouted the tiger Beastkin as he transformed into a gigantic tiger...HE DID WHAT?!
While I wanted to stop and ask, being too close to that creepazoid-slime is too much for my mentality!
I hid behind one of the buildings while the officer-tiger and the grunts started to attack the creepazoid-slime, followed up by one of the grunts coming here and hiding with me. Are they here to explain, or ask what that thing is?
"Phew...safe." - Female grunt
It was neither! But I can't blame her for wanting to hide. That thing is an enemy to all humanity, especially women!
"...since you're already here, explain the monster-tiger that is trying to make the world a better place over there, please." - Revi
"Huh? Oh, commander Naitotaigā? He's a mutant! Understand that!" shouted the female grunt. She must still feel some panic.
"Listen, you tell me what is going here, now." - Revi
"Y-yes...just stop squeezing my head..." said the grunt who was feeling Walaphiris' iron claw. Since she was going to tell me, I had Wala release her.
"Ouch...it's just Naitotaigā using his transformation skill alongside his mutation genes. It's common among the higher brass. Get that already...OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!" - Female grunt
That's it, Wala! Give her some discipline!
Still, "mutation"? Mutation, as in, becoming something else? Like evolution? No, it feels different...
After releasing the girl from Wala again, I had her tell me all about what "mutation" was. To summarize, it's something like this:
One of the highest brass of the Babel organization has studied Growth Chimeras enough to invent "mutation" for non-Chimeras. It's also thanks to that guy's research and compassion for the Growth Chimera that made them start to recruit and protect the Chimeras...
Wait a sec. Did she just tell me that Lily was saved because of this mutation researcher? Ah, there's more to the story:
Mutation does not give you an instant increase in stats, but it does grant you the traits of that monster, such as giving a human the appearance of a Beastkin for example... The more profitable gains are that you can buy skills normally limited to that monster's race (in the same fashion as how Garami can buy Dragon-type skills, I guess?) and that attributes related to that creature will be enhanced. Oh, and that you can transform into the real monster if you have the right transformation-type skill, from the looks of that tiger-guy fighting over there.
The downside is that you will gain the same weaknesses as the monster you mutated into...I guess? The grunt girl hasn't heard of any other problems related to mutation...but there is no guarantee that Filyn isn't hiding them. I don't like her. She's too...cuddly. *Brr*, I remembered something nasty...
"Aaargh!"
Geh! While we were trying to escape from reality, tiger-guy and the grunts are being beaten black and blue! The slime is taking damage too, but it's not slowing down...why's it turning pink? No, I don't want to know...
"Is that slime immortal or something!?" - Female grunt
"Only while it's excited..." - Revi
"Huh?" - Female grunt
"[Identification] said so. That it was a creature that recovers from damage while excited..." - Revi

"Then...the reason why it has turned pink is-" - Female grunt
"Don't say it! Please don't say anything more than that!" - Revi
"O-okay...then should we scare that flan...?" - Female grunt
Scaring it? True, it wouldn't be all pink in its head, meaning that our attacks wouldn't be "eaten", but scaring that abomination of a deviant...is that even possible?
"...ah! I can do that! Tell the tiger-guy to lead the slime...over there! Underneath that bridge. And make sure nobody is on that street when the "Queen" arrives," I told the grunt while pointing at a bridge that went above a wide street.
After the grunt gave me a thumbs-up and started to spread the plan to the other combatant, I started to run toward the bridge. I know I said I would use Dejidem's secret weapon the first moment I got the chance, but to have to use it already...
While running, I started to lay traps in the form of my various Swamp-related skills and the [Delayed Activation] skill I had brought recently just for an occasion like this. Some vines here, a few bog holes there...
When I reached the bridge, I climbed up its stairs and started to draw a magic circle for [Witchcraft: Undead Spirits] while chugging down an MP Potion I had forgotten in the [Mirror Storage]. My creation.
The spells of this style of Witchcraft can bring forth Ghosts to do my bidding, like with Garami's Necromancy skills. The downside is that I can only bring one ghost for each tenth skill level, plus one more. Meaning I am currently limited to two Ghosts at the same time, but right now, I only need one.
Ugh...this takes lots of MP...I mean, I am even using Genocide Drive to increase my MAG to be able to summon this one, so it's no wonder the MP-cost is harsher than harsh. Even all my MP may not be enough...better take another bottle.
*ZZZZZAP!*
And here comes the deviant! The now-pink slime is thrown into the street I am in now while releasing pink-colored lighting from its body. Following it was the big tiger, the commander-guy that transformed.
The slime sent lances made of lightning at the tiger, but the tiger countered them by releasing black lighting in return and barely canceled them. The slime has a lead in MP-recovery, so it can use big moves while the tiger needs to save his MP.
Seeing its lighting lances being negated, the slime started to charge up electricity into a sphere and released it all in the form of a beam made of lightning. But the tiger wasn't going to take that head-on. It jumped to the air and created platforms underneath its feet to walk in the air...that's the same skill that Garami has! He's damn talented, that cat. No wonder he had the leeway for one of those "mutations".
The tiger used its claws against the slime, but it simply flattened its body to the ground to dodge the attack, then it grabbed the tiger's paw that had just missed its target and slammed the tiger to the ground! How can a sick deviant like that have so much power!?
The tiger bounced off the ground several times and was sent flying into the next street. That has to hurt...and now the slime noticed me!! Come on, come on...
"Dragon-taaaaaan~!!" - Slime
HIIII!! Ah, it's ready!
"Shut up already! Take this! Summon; Queen Banshee!" - Revi
The magic circle I had drawn on the bridge released an otherworldly aura and a screech that sent chills down the spine of the listener. The slime stopped in its tracks as it saw and heard this ghastly event. Good...even if I am just as scared of it myself.
And then, from the magic circle appeared a ghostly woman, dressed in black mourning clothes complete with a black veil to cover her face. The slime started to look excited as it saw the woman's...enviously nice-looking body...until it saw what was underneath the veil. And I had to look too...
A pale face, withered skin, black, empty holes that seemed to swallow all light for eyes, and a gaping mouth.
The queen of Banshees inhaled a lot of air, and that was enough to send the slime, now pale-grey, fleeing for its life. But before that, I released all the delayed skills I had placed on the street. Walls of swamp-mud, snaring vines, large holes, and lots more thanks to [Swamp Magic] was released
I fell hard on the concrete bridge, with the ghastly and horrifying scream of the Banshee Queen as the background music. Maybe it was a good thing that I collapsed. The sound of the destruction of the street is horrible enough to make me happy for not being able to see it with my own eyes.
And this is yet another great news! That is one creepy filth less in this world...
Hey, this last title, it's a bad one. I just know it. Am I going to be alright? Garami...*sniff*, help me...

Kigal-Note/Undead/Ghost: Queen Banshee
Description:
The Queen Banshee. One of the highest members of the Banshee race and a Royal Monster of Ghosts. Like the Dullahan, they are a race of Fey Undead, those with the power of both the undead and the fey folk, making them a rare encounter.
They are said to sense death and will make an appearance before those who are close to dying. This creates some similarities between the Queen Banshees and the Grim Reapers. However, the Queen Banshee is more generous than the Reaper, and may even give their assistance to the dying person so they may survive for yet another day, as long as the person in question is one of good nature.
Appearance:
Queen Banshee is one of the most beautiful specimens of these female Ghosts, but they can also be one of the vilest. When finding something they dislike, they use their powers to take on the most terrifying appearance their target can imagine, while also appearing quite hideous to those not even being targeted by this effect.
Like Banshees, the Queen has the appearance of a beautiful woman with pale skin and is dressed in black mourning clothes. Due to them being Ghosts, the Queen Banshees are somewhat intangible and can sometimes turn straight out invisible.
Abilities:
Queen Banshee shares all the common abilities of the Banshee race, such as the ability to detect death, a voice that carries an instant-death effect, and great magical prowess, especially with Death-related spells.
Including this, Queen Banshee also can detect causes of death, as well as the method of how to prevent it. This is not a type of recovery skill, but an ability that grants them the knowledge of how to prevent death from taking the target. Whether the Queen Banshee or the dying person can actualize this method is a different story.
Queen Banshee also has a Fear-inducing ability that takes advantage of the opponent's imagination to create the most horrifying sight they can think of and show it to them. On the other hand, if the person has no imagination to speak of, this ability may turn into something worse than your average Fear-type skill.
And finally, Queen Banshee's voice is known to be in a league of itself. Its ability to induce death is far greater than that of regular Banshees, or even High Banshees, as the Queen can affect even non-living matter, granting anyone and anything that is in the range of her voice "death". The "in the range" part is an important point to take note of, as only the targets right in front of the Queen will be affected by its instant-death effect. Hearing the voice will still give you nightmares for days.
Garami's comment: Hey, Dejidem! Why did you give something like this for Revi to summon? It's too weak! Give her an A-rank at least!
