"It's a party! A party, I tell you! Get out the booze!" - Mira
"YEEEAAAAHH!"
It was the middle of the next day after the Husk Forest had withered away. No, that happened after midnight, so should I say it was later that day? Anyway, when I woke up after having experienced the worst event in my life1The waterslide ride with the water that flowed out of the Husk Forest., the whole city was in a festival mood.
I had only woken up a little while ago, so I was stunned by their vigor. It wasn't before Terd told me that it wasn't only the former Water-Knot, all former water springs had started to give water again. It was like the whole region had woken up by the destruction of the forest.
The real reason is that the thump-thump that had stolen all the water from the region was been destroyed. Not that I can say that to people without having to talk about the Disaster of Life.
I was still wobbly from the washing experience yesterday night, so I rode on Levi while enjoying the festival.
People were celebrating the large amounts of water that had appeared in the dried-up river, thanking Lusalki for the "miracle". Not that she had anything to do with this.
Mira had joined some other adventurers on a party spree in the Guild, which I had just passed, and I saw Lily and Galleth having a rematch in the food fighting competition that had been started to celebrate the festival. Carion was apparently home, sleeping the day away while having his golems get him take-away for his meals.
I also met the adventurer party that helped me out of the waterway yesterday. But, even if I say it like that, I just can't seem to remember their faces and names. It was only by seeing Delta and appraising their names that I managed to get away without making their priest girl cry. ...Maybe I should study them till I can remember them on my own... And what did they mean with "we have paid back our debts now"?
I kept on traveling the city with Levi while having us test the local stands when we were stopped by a certain someone.
"O-hoi, sir Galleth's colleague. Mind if I can borrow some of your time?" - Knight(?)
The person was wearing a knight's armor of polished steel, despite the festival mood around town. Is he a guard or something? I jumped down from Levi to hear him out.
"My name is Pelles, and I am a retainer of sir Galleth. If I may ask, could you tell me what that pillar of light that appeared in the forest was?" - Pelles
Should I tell him?
"Some wandering Einheriar in armor came and attacked the Dungeon Core and Boss there. I ran away so I wouldn't turn into collateral damage, so I don't know what happened after that. Why do you ask?" - Garami
I decided to give him half the truth.
"...I understand. While the main purpose of us from the Avalar: Great Tree Brigade is to help the city of Velantas to recover from the drought, we also had a hidden objective to find one of the Five Great Knights that had disappeared while searching for the sources of the unnatural amounts of undeads that had infested this region. That person was called 'Percel of the Sun', due to his ability to channel the strength of the sun into his sword." - Pelles
"And you think that guy who I saw yesterday night was him?" - Garami
"The evidence points towards that. We are currently investigating the remains of the Husk Forest in search of him, but we have only discovered the body of the criminal Raft Gregor." - Pelles
Ho. So he didn't make it then. And if no one else is found, then...
"We are planning on staying in this city for some more time, so we will continue to look for sir Percel. If you have any information about him, we will be overjoyed to hear it." - Pelles
And with that, the knight left just like that. So they haven't found him yet. Not that I'm that worried. I looked over my stats while following Levi who had found something that smelled good.

I looked at the two of the new skills I had obtained, and could barely resist smiling. Levi barked at me over her shoulder, so I hurried up to buy her what she wanted. I need to figure a way to revive Orimaru and Raoul, but now, now there's a festival. Gotta enjoy it while I can.

"So, Raft Gregor was in the leagues of a criminal gang, and you had no clue to that?" - Bermuda
"Please, Grandmaster, you value my abilities too much. I knew he had a shady background, but I had no proof until lately." - Leonardo
"You had no other choice but to let him roam free. Must have been tough on you." - Bermuda
"It was. But I was overjoyed when I finally got my hands on them. And they were so fatal to that guy that I had to take the chance when I was met with it." - Leonardo
"Yeah, yeah, you Velantas fanboy." - Bermuda
"My plan about luring out Gregor's henchmen turned out to give me more than I had anticipated. Thank Alvatria that lady Garami lured the monsters out before they came too close." - Leonardo
"I think that part was accidental, you Umbral follower. Why're you keeping it a secret anyway?" - Bermuda
"Do you expect me to go crazy over her like Zelot? I know that people get freaked out when they are met with someone that acts like him." - Leonardo
"True that. Back to business, the Draugrs are all confirmed to have stopped their biological activity. The reason must lie in that Gargoyle Carion Verde talked about." - Bermuda
"A monster that can create monsters... like an Echidna. But the other monsters did not die like the Draugrs." - Leonardo
"Probably cause those guys weren't real monsters, but golems without any solid core to support their bodies. That's Carion's theory." - Bermuda
"So, it's not an undead, but a rotten flesh golem. If the core created the rest of the body when it hits some living materials, then it would have no more power to support it on its own." - Leonardo
"Hmm... that means the showdown between Carion and Gregor was between two golem-users. Now that's something people would want to watch!" - Bermuda
"Probably. Now, be sure to give this to lady Garami." - Leonardo
"Sure. One recommendation for the Alchemist trials in Yanxiong, and a portable safe?" - Bermuda
"We need to keep the sole piece of the Disaster away from those thieves after all." - Leonardo
"Hah! Good one! Now then, wanna go and get some booze before you leave?" - Bermuda
"No thanks. Father wants me to return as soon as possible. We need to finish the clean-up of this incident before we can celebrate for real." - Leonardo
"Too bad. More to me." - Bermuda
"I would not bet on it. I saw that miss Mira was holding quite the drinking party downstairs when I arrived." - Leonardo
The Grandmaster of Velantas turned pale after hearing that and raced down the stairs.
The wailing of a heartbroken walrus that rung out over the city, caused some confusion, but people forgot about that when they resumed their celebration.

Kigal-Note/Monsters/Inorganic Monster: Golems
Golems are a type of artificially-created monsters, being made of either dirt or mud, but can also be created by other materials, like water or even fire.
The racial attribute of the golem is decided by the material used, but only seasoned Golem Makers can create golems from materials except for dirt and rock.
The shape of the golem is usually humanoid, but they can have other shapes, as long as the body can withstand the weight of the golem. The strength of the golem is decided equally by their shape as their materials.
Golems operate with a magic core that acts as their heart. It provides the golems with the energy they need to live, which is granted by their creator. If this core is removed, or it has too low energy to function right, then the golem will collapse right there.
People can create simple golems without skills, as long as they have the right materials. But to create high-ranking golems one needs the Golem Maker class, a special class that needs both the Earth Mage class and the Sculpture Maker class.
A golem does not have a will of their own. They will only follow the orders given by their creator or their master.
There exist golems of varying ranks, from G to C, with the special Orichalcum Golem being the strongest golem yet registered, with a rank of B.
Carion's comment: Golems are nice. As long as they aren't too expensive, you can bring out as many as you like.
