Chapter 56: Not Alone (Part 1)

Shera's perspective

I have tried to confess to Sir Rigen my feeling for him but I didn't succeed, but Sir Rigen said to me that I would have a chance to say it again tomorrow. 

He also accepted my love though he didn't know what I wanted to say to him. 

I was so glad, I begged Sir Rigen to stay with me in the bedroom, I wanted to have someone beside me because I was so lonely. 

I missed my home, my father, my brother though he tried to kill Sir Rigen twice but he was still my relative, also Reimi, I was wondering how they were, I hope they are still alive.

About the other thing, maybe I was asleep while staying with Sir Rigen, I don't know, I wanted to share the bed with him. I want to have him to sleep with, I want to stay out of my loneliness.

I felt that I have slept enough, I slowly opened my eyes, they were quite blurred when I woke up, maybe I have slept overnight. 

I slowly got out the bed and noticed that when I was sleeping last night. Someone must have covered me with the bedsheet to protect me from the cold, that must be Sir Rigen, how heartful he was.

But I didn't see Sir Rigen on my bed, maybe he has woken up before me. He may now be in the main room so I slowly got down on the bed and went out of the curtain to go out of the bedroom.

I got out of the bedroom and looked around the main room, which was the kitchen and the living room mixed. 

Rivia's house was quite strange designed, maybe the architects who built this house did that because the area of the house was quite limited.

I saw the windows that were exposed on the right side of the kitchen and the right side of the front door of the house. They were quite bright by the sun outside, with these two windows but could make the house bright inside like this.

I didn't see Sir Rigen or Rivia anywhere, maybe Rivia was now patrolling around the border, I think so! Maybe I should find Sir Rigen, but wait! I forgot to take Sir Rigen's clothes and my clothes. 

They had been wet yesterday but now they must be dried for sure, I must go outside to take them.

I went outside of the house then went to the backyard, Rivia was now swinging her sword around to practice her sword skill. 

I didn't notice that much but grabbed my hands to the clothes that are hung on the wooden drying rack and were about to take them inside.

"Ah, Shera! You're awake, John is now still sleeping in the food stocks room." - What? Sir Rigen didn't sleep with me last night

"Why did your face look so confused? John said to me that he didn't want to disturb you. he was about to sleep on the floor but I told him to sleep in the food stocks room." - Sir Rigen, you could be ill if you did that! I must go get him now!

Then I ran in a hurry to the house and put the clothes on the table that was placed on the left of the house's entrance when got inside the house, I immediately ran into the food stocks room. 

At the time I opened the door, I saw Sir Rigen was now sitting on a chair on the left side of the room, he was still sleeping.

"Sir Rigen, please wake up, it's already morning." - I slowly tapped Sir Rigen's shoulder, trying to make him wake up as slight as possible

"Ah! Ah, you are awake, Princess! My back, dammit! Ah!" - Maybe Sir Rigen has to keep his sitting posture while sleeping so that caused his back to hurt

"Are you alright, Sir Rigen?"

"I'm fine, don't worry, Princess!" - Sir Rigen slowly stood up while holding his back, I also helped him to stand up

"You must rest, Sir Rigen!"

"No, I'm fine, I'm fine." - But you're not fine! Your back is hurt!

Then I went with Sir Rigen to the main room, maybe I should make breakfast this time. Sir Rigen must be hungry but my cooking skill was not so good, maybe I should ask Rivia to aid me. 

When I was about to take Sir Rigen to the bedroom to let him rest though Sir Rigen was still insisting to me that he was fine, Rivia suddenly went into the house.

Rivia looked at Sir Rigen first when she got in but for some reason, Sir Rigen didn't look at her, he even tried to avoid looking at her, what's wrong?

But why did I feel a bit jealous when Rivia was looking at Sir Rigen? I felt that unusual so I tried to risk this thing up, hoping that Sir Rigen won't hate me because of this act.

"Sniff! Sniff! Sniff!" - I tried to sniff around Sir Rigen's clothes, I don't want to doubt him, there are only three of us living in this house so I was jealous if Sir RIgen has feelings for Rivia

If that's true, I must warn Rivia to get away from Sir Rigen, he's mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! No one can take him away from me!

"Princess, you are behaving weird!" - Sir Rigen must have been mad about my act but sorry! I must make sure that you don't cheat on me

I didn't sniff any strange smell, Reimi taught me if a man that cheating on you. 

The easy ways to know were to sniff the strange smells on that man's clothes or his change of behavior.

"Princess, you can't sniff the smell?" - What was your meaning, Sir Rigen! You cheated on me! 

No, I cannot judge his guilt suddenly, he didn't end his line yet.

"But if you keep insisting me to rest, well! I will accept your order, Princess! Hope you will happy." - Sir Rigen patted my head and then went inside the bedroom to rest

"Princess, I forgot to teach you about the electricity, why don't you follow me?" - Rivia called me to follow her, maybe I have doubted Sir Rigen and her too much, I should not do that anymore, both of them are good!

Then Rivia removed the stone piece that was used to cover the black electricity box, then she pulled out the box, showed me slowly the front and also the back of the box.

I saw that there were words in front of the box, which were placed together like the numbers in the Demon's language. 

On the back of the box, there was a white line of a hand that opened wide, I was wondering what was this used for.

"You can't read our language but I will teach you slowly, Shera. This box still has more than 3 months to use. If the electricity in this box runs out, put your hand here to recharge the magic." - What was recharge? I didn't use that word

"Recharge?"

"Oh, that word is similar to regain the magic powers of the mages when they used up all of their magic power." - Oh! I understood!

"Put your hand on the white line, Shera." - Maybe I should do what Rivia told me to

Then I put my hand on the white line that had the drawing of the hand there, now how could I recharge the electricity?

"Transfer your magic power into it, imagine when you create the magic in your hand." 

"You have to imagine the flow of the magic power which is now flowing on your muscles, your veins, which cannot be seen by normal eyes" - Alright

"Do I need to spell the words while transferring my power?"

"No, just take your hand on and transfer, Shera. You don't need to cast any magic element, you just need to transfer your magic power."

Then I slowly felt the flow of the magic power in my veins, my muscles and released them out, I could feel my power was drained by the box. 

I saw the black box glowing in blue, which mean it was absorbing my power.

"How long should I hold, Rivia?"

"Don't worry, this thing consumes not much of your magic power, just hold for more than 5 minutes."

After 5 minutes, I felt that my magic power has been drained out but not much, at least I could regain my magic power back to normal in an hour or less, I think.

"Good, your magic has supported one more hour for this electricity box, good job, Shera. You may now teach John to do this." - Though Sir Rigen cannot do magic but I think I can help him a bit

But there was a thing that made me curious, that was about the thing that lighted up the entire house, which was called electricity light, I wonder what that was.

"Hey, Rivia, can you tell me what is the material that made this electricity light."

"Oh, that's a magic stone, which always has one inside our body, we can use magic because of it, if we don't have that stone, we cannot light the thing up without it." - Magic stone? Magic stones can be used to do that?

"Does your homeland teach about history, Shera?" - What did Rivia mean?

"Yes."

"Do you know the name of the two Heroes that saved you humans and your allies out of our demon's invasion 500 years ago?" - Why did she ask me this? I didn't know the name of those two Heroes exactly

"No, our humans have the agreement with the elves that we won't mention the names of those heroes for their wishes, those heroes didn't want their names to be known."

"Their names were Frank Jonathan and Takeda Takuya, thanks to them that our demon's civilization has developed to this day." 

"Though they were the enemies of our late Supreme Demon Lord in the past but she respected them, our late ruler even have a child with a hero, that child is now ruling us."

"Both of those Heroes had gone to all continents when they were still alive to popular their knowledge in their previous world to help our civilizations." 

"Hero Jonathan had gone more than King Takuya when King Takuya himself was very busy building his kingdom. Which was later called Ashura, named after his daughter who never had a chance to meet him again."

"The things you see in this house like the electric lights to light up the house, the toilet which is used to carry your waste."

"The rolls that are used to clean your waste are called toilet rolls, the trash can to carry the rolls that have waste."

"Those inventions were thanks to the two Heroes, but only our Demon's continent capable of developing those things the most so the Heroes had paid their visits to us very much to invent these things."

"Most of the inventions were come from the Heroes' thoughts from what they saw and heard from their previous world, they don't have much knowledge to explain how those things work to us."

"Well, you look so shocked, Shera. We must prepare breakfast now, I must hurry to do the patrol." - Ah! I forgot, I must prepare for Sir Rigen's meal!

Then both of us went inside the food stocks room to take out the bags which contained food to the kitchen, I hope Rivia will help me to know how to cook.

"Shera, look! I only perform one, ah! Remember to write down what you see." - Rivia told me to prepare the pen and the papers

Then I ran into the bedroom, I hope Sir Rigen won't feel annoyed, I searched around the cabinet and took out an ink box, a pen and some papers, after grabbing all of them, I ran out to see Rivia.

Rigen's perspective 

I heard noises coming out of the bedroom, Shera was hurried for some reason. I peeked at her a bit and saw she was grabbing things out of the cabinet. 

There were a pen, an ink box and some pieces of paper, Shera grabbed those things and then ran out without closing the cabinet.

Maybe Rivia and Shera were now cooking and Rivia must have taught this Princess, good luck!

My back has now stopped hurting, I got up from the bed and went outside, I mean peeked out from the curtain to see what were the girls doing. 

Shera was now writing very fast on the papers from what she saw from Rivia, Rivia was cutting the vegetables on a cutting board and then left her position to tell Shera to perform again her previous action.

The way I saw Rivia now, gulp! Dammit! I desire her body, the way she helped me to relieve last night made my boy always hard while looking at her. 

Maybe I should avoid looking at Rivia or Shera would know my strange behavior.

"Do not talk, you must stay focused!"

Shera was now focusing on doing her work, she didn't give me a look, she was trying to do her best.

"Ah, Sir Rigen! About yesterday's talk, I want to talk to you after breakfast, can you please hear me?" - Confess your love to me later!

"Stay focused!"

Shera didn't say a word anymore, she only focused on cutting the vegetables, after cutting the vegetables, she changed to cutting the small lizards. 

Rivia was now taking the papers that Shera was used to writing and wrote something that looked to be very long, after a few minutes of writing, Rivia put the papers down on the dinner table.

"Shera, everything you need to learn about cooking has been written in the papers, just according to what I wrote to cook, you can do it!"

"Yes, I understand! I will do my best, Rivia!" - Shera tried to talk while doing the cooking

"Do not talk, I said to you many times, stay focused!"

Shera was now focusing a lot, her hands looked a bit clumsy when she tried to cook fast but then she later stopped rushing and do what Rivia told her normally.

"What are you doing, John? Want to go outside?" - Rivia asked me, of course I was about to go out the backyard to do some push-ups or swing the sword around or...relieve myself, my boy had now fully loaded

"Yeah! I want to train sword skill a bit."

"Follow me, I will teach you." - I hope you will teach me, not "teach" me

"Princess, good luck! I'm counting on you."

Then I and Rivia went out of the house and went to the backyard, Fafa, Rivia's horse was now standing on its keep house, Rivia was now walking behind me, I was trying to hold myself back.

"John, hear me a bit." - Rivia talked to me so I turned back to hear what she wanted to say

Shera's cooking skills, still bad but I saw her improvement, she was trying to be better.

About me, I have become an asshole that cheating on her but I felt very excited to do that, I didn't want to stop. 

After having breakfast, we waited to go to the toilet but seemed like we didn't need to go anymore, that was quite strange to me, maybe both of us have used to the taste here somehow.

I have already prepared my armors and weapons to go out with Rivia when she called me to go out for the patrol around the border, I cannot wait to take over her but I have to be patient.

"She said that when the food stocks run out, we have to eat from outside by collecting nuts and plants so she said while going patrol with you."

"She will lead me to go to collect the plants, she will also teach me how to cook them, I will do my best to make myself useful to you, Sir Rigen." - Why the fuck did you smile, Princess? And why does Rivia accept to let you go with us!

"I want to confess to you, Sir Rigen! But Rivia told me that I could do that later tonight so I will wait for you until then." - Stop smiling! You made me mad!

Then the three of us went out of the house to do the patrol, I very hate Shera now, I want to make her disappear. 

Going out to do patrol with Shera didn't have on my plan but maybe I should be patient, there won't be too late until I can touch Rivia.
