“Hmmm? Those are…”
Every Flame Burrow of Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital was at least a few hundred meters tall, harboring more than ten thousand Acraepoids.
Each Flame Burrow’s general construct was a regular cylindrical shape with a narrow top and a wide bottom, weathered with the fire-red mud unique to this world. Its architecture was solid.
Dark Demon-Hunters dived down from the Void Fortresses at a high altitude, piercing through the layers of element waves, clouds, Acraepoid interception, and the Infernal Spirit World’s Soul Slave defense. Finally, they could have an unobstructed view of the Flame Burrows.
The top part of the Flame Burrows looked slightly different from Grimm’s previous visits through the World Gate.
On the top of the Flame Burrows, numerous meatballs with diameters ranging from ten meters to one hundred meters were constantly wriggling, continuously feeding on the blood and corpses falling from the sky.
“Master, I have a bad feeling about this…”
Little Myna, too, noticed the newfound creepy giant meatballs.
Whoosh! Claudia had caught up to Grimm in her burning sorcerer’s barrier, caused by the intense air friction. She gazed upon the meatballs too.
“Apparently, the Soul Slave defense is a long-established arrangement. It seems that the Dark Demon-Hunters are going to completely destroy the Flame Burrows within the Capital of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom. ”
“Well, I’m afraid so.”
Grimm nodded. Under the Mask of Truth, his eyes searched for the building that resembled a temple mentioned by Nairo.
Nevertheless, the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital was too vast for a one-man search.
As Grimm dove further down, there was not a single unique building within Grimm’s sight except the Flame Burrows.
Glup, glup, glup…
Some giant meatballs seemed to have absorbed enough flesh, thus intensifying their wriggling movements.
Under such circumstances, it was well understood among Demon-Hunters that they were to expect the worst and prepare their defenses. They would have to continue the dive with extra caution.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Surprisingly, these fiercely moving meatballs ejected flesh and blood masses into the sky, ignoring the attacks of the Dark Demon-Hunters.
Immediately after launching these flesh balls, the meatballs continued to absorb the flesh falling from the sky.
“These creatures are definitely Infernal Spirit World’s strategic bioweapon, our mission now…”
Grimm tried to finish his sentence, yet he was stopped by a radiant burst on his sorcerer’s barrier. Grimm sensed the sudden alarm as his expression went dark. Claudia felt the same, as she tried to change the direction of her dive.
After a few moments.
Hum…
After an incredibly depressing silence, a dark red beam of energy burst out and shocked everybody.
Boom!
The dark red energy beam was only over ten meters long when ejected from the Void Fortress. It became more than two hundred meters long when it hit the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital. The earth trembled instantly.
The beam of energy destroyed everything in its path. Soul Slaves, the Acraepoid humanoids, and the Flame Burrows, all vaporized and disappeared, erased from existence.
Boom!
The destruction was done in just mere seconds. It left a trail of lava that was a hundred meters thick and ten thousand meters long. Grooves that were filled with magma were created in the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital.
The chasm was hundreds of meters deep, filled with magma that had been incinerated.
The gigantic Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital seemed to be severely cut open with one straight scar.
In an instant, more than a hundred Flame Burrows were completely destroyed.
Other Flame Burrows that were not destroyed by the Prodigious Shatterer were thrown into panic and chaos. Most of the pregnant royal Acraepoids were crying and flapping their wings, desperately trying to escape, then boom! The Flame Burrows collapsed and were reduced to ruins.
“Demons! Oh, mighty Infernal God, this is a Demon’s Invasion…”
“Woo… Mummy…”
The sounds of wailing, crying, and screaming were neverending.
Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
With the massive chaos unfolding in the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital, tens of thousands of Dark Demon-Hunters dived from the sky, creating craters of varying sizes recklessly.
From within one crater of ten meters in diameter, Grimm floated into the air with his Sabbatic Goat Staff. His Mandala Robe danced with the heat waves, continuously changing shapes.
Roar!
A golden flame converged with a black flame as the Savage Flame Giant slowly stood up in the crater with the Lava Greatsword in its grip.
After devouring dozens of fresh souls around him, he opened up his chest and gave a mighty roar.
Rumble!

Another dark red beam of light pierced the sky from the Prodigious Shatterer, slicing through the top of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital, and the earth quaked.
Grimm’s sorcerer’s barrier was not affected this time since the Prodigious Shatterer’s attack was far from him.
Grimm and the Savage Flame Giant behind him gazed at the sky at the same time. Half of the Voidship’s wreckage fell from the sky with blazing flames and exploded half a kilometer away from a high-rise Flame Burrow. It exploded again and turned into dozens of debris.
The Flame Burrow was only slightly damaged, standing firmly on the ground.
Bang! Bang!
Two large wreckage debris were blocked by the Savage Flame Giant’s Lava Greatsword.
Grimm flew into midair. The former wide and flat busy marble street was now full of corpses and a complete wreck. Grimm could sense countless pairs of eyes peeping at him in fear. He wondered how many Acraepoid children were staring at them with tears in their eyes and their mouths covered.
For a short while, the surroundings began to quiet down.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Two shadows dashed towards Grimm. With the aid of the Mask of Truth, Grimm knew they were merely two weak Acraepoids, as he instantly sent two Fire Bee spells after them.
Boom! Boom!
Two small blasts burst in the air, covering the Acraepoids in a sea of fire.
One Acraepoid wailed crazily as it was burned by the Eternal Flame. The other Acraepoid seemed to have mastered the Infernal Spirit Power. Although he was terribly hurt by the Eternal Flame, he grasped his sword and lunged at Grimm.
Clang!
The Lava Greatsword clashed with the Acraepoid blade, it parried the Acraepoid’s attack and sent it flying backwards. The Acraepod hit a Flame Burrow’s wall a hundred meters away, and fell to the ground unconscious.
“Grimm!”
In another crater, Claudia hollered at Grimm.
An Acraepoid Warrior was holding a sword, eagerly looking for a way to kill her.
High Infernal Spirit Power surrounded the Acraepoid. It might be classified as a Level 1 creature according to the Sorcerer’s grading system, yet its potential was way beyond that level.
A giant Chimera Scorpion full of sarcomas was fighting with this Acraepoid. After all, Claudia’s sorcery was much more eerie compared to other elemental sorcerers.
Her defense was overwhelming, yet she lacked offense.
This was the exact reason why one should focus and research patiently on basic elemental knowledge. If one were to take shortcuts, the sorcerer would always end up with a white elephant, with nothing constructive.
She might have had the advantage in the past, yet now she was stuck, unable to carry her own weight.
“Alright.”
Grimm’s shadow bent as he flashed above Claudia’s head. He pointed his Sabbatic Goat Staff at the Acraepoid.
Hum…
A high-density wave blasted from the staff.
Grimm was no longer in his form of Level 1 Wild Instinct metamorphosis. His attack was not strong enough to give a deadly blow to the Acraepoid.
The Infernal Spirit Power of the Acraepoid’s blade trembled and dimmed significantly. He made a low “hmph” sound, as he looked at Grimm lividly. Realising that he had no chance to win, he flew dozens of meters away, escaping without looking back.
Grimm ignored the escaping Acraepoid, immediately taking out his crystal ball to check on the coordinates of other team members.
Wicky was not far from Grimm and Claudia, while Millie and Solumn were relatively far away. Their signals were vague, but they were trying to gather with the team.
Boom!
Grimm and Claudia turned their heads as another Dark Demon-Hunter landed near the duo.
Its flaming sorcerer’s barrier smashed onto the land. As the smoke dissipated, a white monster created by Element Activation Sorcery slowly rose from the ground.
An old sorceress stood on the monster’s shoulder, and her eyes were turbidly looking around.
“Level-2 Demon-Hunter!”
Grimm and Claudia were delighted.
With another Level-2 Demon-Hunter in the team, it would be easier to complete their task of destroying Flame Burrows.
The old sorceress checked out Claudia and Grimm, and was taken aback, “That is a Rank-3 Honor Badge, and a Rank-1 Honor Badge!”
Obviously, this Level-2 Dark Demon-Hunter did not stay on Black Isotta’s Void Fortress. If she had, she would not have been surprised by Grimm’s Rank-1 Honor Badge.
Up in the skies…
A dense sound of flapping wings was approaching from afar. The three searched the skies and found more than a hundred Infernal Spirit World Soul Slaves making their way towards them with striking red eyes.
“Quick! Hide in the Flame Burrows!”
Claudia shouted while standing on her Giant Chimera Scorpion, and she dashed towards the nearest Flame Burrow.
Grimm and the old sorceress reacted by instructing their Element Activation Sorcery creatures to cover themselves, and flew towards a Flame Burrow as quick as lightning.
