Chapter 515: The Dreadlord I

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

“Run!”

Grimm yelled as he ran, attempting to put some distance between him and the Dream Watcher King.

Clomp! Clomp! Clomp! Clomp…

The Dream Watcher King’s third bloody eye was already fixed on Grimm as the huge soles of his feet continued to step heavily on the ground, letting out a loud thud with every step. The weight of his strength was something to be imagined.

After a high leap, the huge palm of the enormous hideous monkey pressed down on Grimm.

Thump!

Grimm immediately activated his level 1 wild instincts transformation. From the Dream Watcher King’s third eye sensory ability, he witnessed this Horrifying Creature’s speed that had suddenly increased and managed to escape his attack.

“Hmph!”

But soon after, the scarlet red tongue of the Dream Watcher King pierced through Grimm’s chest with the speed of lightning. The tongue curled up around Grimm skillfully as it bound Grimm.

“He he… you can’t run now!”

The Dream Watcher King’s scarlet red tongue seemed to be like Grimm’s green python thread. It had the special effects of a bondage seal within it. Grimm could not escape the scarlet red tongue’s bondage no matter how hard he struggled.

Following that, Grimm was held tightly in the giant hand filled with red hair.

“I’ve told you, I am gonna bury you under my castle, till the end of the Nightmare World.”

Ten years had passed, yet the anger and hatred in the Dream Watcher King’s eyes did not decrease in the slightest. The Horrifying Creatures in the Nightmare World might not be able to be completely killed while in the Nightmare World, but a repression and imprisonment equivalent to death could take place.

The most common repression method being used was the burial repression method.

Struggling yet being unable to free himself from the giant hand, Grimm was encircled by an odd red fluff whirlwind. The whirlwind seemed like it was about to wrap Grimm in a giant cocoon and seal him within it.

In his despair, Grimm looked up to the sky. Suddenly, a hint of joy flickered in his eyes beneath the Mask of Truth.

Flap flap flap flap…

The Tricolor Fairies that Grimm had waited for everyday appeared in groups in the sky. There were about a couple hundred of them. The Dream Watcher King raised his head as well, his third eye still.

“Fairies of the Sorcerer fairytale!”

Naturally, the Tricolor Fairies noticed the Dream Watcher King. In the eyes of the tiny fairies, the thirty meter tall figure that was emanating nightmare energy seemed like a torch in the night sky, so dazzling and bright.

Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff!

Suddenly the palm-sized tiny fairies, each hugging a baby tooth, lit the teeth they were holding which then started burning. It was as if the teeth had given them unbelievable strength. The transparent wings behind the Tricolor Fairies started to grow bigger and bigger, becoming seven to eight meters big in just the blink of an eye.

Every pair of wings on the Tricolor Fairies seemed like a pair of crystal clear, closed eyes of a dreaming human child.

These huge clear eyes swooped down from the sky and flew toward the Dream Watcher King.

“No!”

Although the Dream Watcher King dispelled some of the Tricolor Fairies away in his testy attacks, an even greater number of Tricolor Fairies fluttered their wings and slammed into the Dream Watcher King’s body.

And from these wings, Grimm felt a pure bliss of strength.

Fear toward nightmares derived from the emotional instincts of humans as they believed that invincible, horrifying and scary creatures exist, giving room for the Horrifying Creatures of the Nightmare World to live.

As for the desire humans had toward the fairytale world, they were only possessed by a pair of uncorrupted and clear eyes in a child during childhood.

At that period of time, everyday was filled with happiness, not having a single worry in the world and believing that even though dark evil monsters existed in the world, they would be protected by the bright fairy tales that were told. They believed that they would experience a blissful and colorful life like the protagonists of the world, under the company and protection of their moms and dads.

It was exactly because these children believed in the Tooth Fairy that the horrors of the Nightmare World had slightly dissipated. With that came the birth of the Tricolor Fairies that protected the Nightmare World of humans, thus the fairytale law came into existence.

The Dream Watcher King was riddled with gaping wounds by the Tricolor Fairies of the fairytale law. Moments later, a blur appeared on the Dream Watcher King’s body as he completed a respawn from his immortality.

Hmm?

This feeling…

Although all the creatures in the Nightmare World were existences of immortality yet it did not mean that they were limitless.

Even though death was avoidable when one was as strong as the Dreadlord, the great amount of Fright Energy collected to build the Dreadlord’s strong body may be dispelled during death.

The weaker Horrifying Creatures in the Nightmare World might be repressed and bound by stronger nightmare creatures, which was a process equivalent to death.

Due to the fact that Grimm had the Lamp of Awakening with him and the Principle Will of the Sorcerers World, his body had solidified. The Dream Watcher King who had his special abilities could still see Grimm but the Tricolor Fairies were unable to. Therefore, they did not attack Grimm.

At that moment, Grimm could feel clearly that his body as a Horrifying Creature had absorbed a special energy.

This energy seemed like a part of the Fright Energy that was dispersed from the Dream Watcher King as he was attacked by the Tricolor Fairies and forced to respawn.

“Ah! How dare you take away my power… how dare you…”

As the Fright Energy was being collected in Grimm’s body, Grimm could feel his physique and strength growing at an unbelievable rate. It was almost an immediate effect, which did not conform to the laws of the Sorcerers World.

But this was a Spectral World after all!

The formation of the Nightmare World was due to the laws of dreams while the determining factor of the nightmare creature’s strength was not flesh, energy, mental will, laws nor any other factors of the Endless World.

Right here, fright was the true source of strength for nightmare creatures.

“Perhaps, I’ve found another way to go back to the real world besides searching for Adjudication Staff Stigmata Sorcerer!”

A light of joy lit up in Grimm’s eyes!

Although Grimm did not know exactly what that way was, but since that Nightmare Mist Dreadlord wanted to use Grimm’s body to gain a rebirth, would that not mean that he knew the way to send Grimm back to the real world?

What if…

What if Grimm collected enough Fright Energy to make him a new Dreadlord in the Nightmare World? If he were to try to defeat the Nightmare Mist Dreadlord later on, would that not let him find the way to leave like he wanted?

This way might be a whimsical one, but it was one worth a shot!

When that time came, if Grimm did not succeed, at least he would become stronger. From that, he would be able to escape from the Dreadlord servants and have more chances to find Adjudication Staff Stigmata Sorcerer.

In a distance, as the Dream Watcher King continued to respawn, his Fright Energy continued to dissipate. The number of Tricolor Fairies continued to decrease as well. Grimm did not dare to keep collecting the Dream Watcher King’s Fright Energy as he turned back and ran toward a human village from his memory.

That place was even more protected by the Tricolor Fairies of the fairytale law, it could become Grimm’s temporary safe haven.
