Chapter 1: the mysterious portal

In the room even though it was filled with people you could hear a pin drop all because of the stare of one man. That man sat on his throne, golden hair shining in light and his blue eyes deep as an ocean staring at the girl below the throne on her knees in a praying position.

" Start the coronation" the man's voice was smooth and carried a hint of great warmth.

" Yes your majesty!" The pope standing on the side of the man flinched.

The pope walked towards the princess crown in hand, speaking as he walked.

" May the gods shine on you the new empress of this empire." The pope placed the crown on princess Athanasia's head.

" I now declare this empire yours your maje--" there was a shake big enough to trip the pope before he could finish his sentence.

" What's going on!!?!" People started to panic. But before anyone can move a big purple portal opened above everyone in the room. A man jumped out of the crowd and ran towards the princess.

" Athy!!!" The man had black hair and red eyes.

" Lucas!!" The princess turned towards the man stunned, not understanding what's going on.

" It's fine I found out what's going on, don't panic alright" as the man with red eyes reached the princess and so did the man on the throne.

" Athanasia use your magic and get out of here something is wrong here".

" What do you mean dad?" the princess turned towards the man with jeweled blue eyes just like hers.

"Don't Listen to Claude, athy"

Lucas turned towards Claude.

" There is a lot of magic gathering outside as well we'll be safer inside your majesty"

   " dammit, Lucas use barrier magic and protect the princess, and all the nobles don't let anyone get hurt I will deal with this myself"

After giving orders Claude threw away his cape and readied his sword towards the clump of mana.

     " Daddy!!" As the barrier magic closed down around all the nobles the princess ran towards Claude hoping to drag him into the barrier before anything bad could happen to him but she was too late.

   The lump of mana was twisting and swirling it then. Formed a whirlpool like circle it was purple and the size of the entire ceiling.

  " Lucas what the hell is that?!?" After seeing the mana move in an abnormal way Claude turned towards Lucas with a questioning look. But he did get a response since Lucas was wide eyed staring at the mass of mana and murmured one thing.

" It can't be time travel?"  When The princess heard that her face turned whiter than a sheet.

" Daddy ran away!!!!" The princess screamed at the top of her lungs hoping that her father would be able to escape the incoming doom.

As soon as Claude heard the scream to escape he saw three figures coming out the portal. One was a girl with black hair and jeweled eyes. Next to the girl were two boys. One had blonde hair and blue eyes while the other one had black hair and red eyes. Claude was shocked to see the children who came out the portal resemble his daughter perfectly. Before he could guess what was going on the little girl ran towards the princess inside the barrier faster then Claude could react the little girl jumped past the barrier and into the princess arms.

"Mommy!!!"

"What?"

Everyone in the room was in shock. Lucas was the best. What did the little girl mean to mommy?!?.
