Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Oden in action

Yamato POV

A voice sounded in Yamato's ears.

"Yamato, I'm about done here, I have entered the gate, and right now I'm about to finish the boss. The gate will be closed. All that would be left should be the monsters who are out right now." A gruff voice belonging to a male spoke up.

*Hmm*

Yamato nodded to herself.

*You can leave the rest to me Zoro" She replied.

She then switched the channel.

"Superhero, codenamed: Oden." Yamato started speaking.

She announced her presence as she looked at the downed form of Ren.

"I have arrived at the place." She finished as she pressed the earpiece.

Ren had fallen back to the ground as soon as he saw her white hair, and heard her voice.

In the first place he was only standing with sheer willpower. And that left him the moment he knew backup came.

At that brief instant, the presence he felt from Yamato, was so huge in comparison to the wolf.

A smile had peacefully settled on his face.

Yamato was deeply impressed with him as she could feel his willpower using her Observation haki. there was also a weird attraction pulling her toward him...

He didn't have haki, but somehow, she felt like he could awaken it just as she observed him.

'Is he also a descendent of a Grandliner?' She wondered to herself.

A voice replied from the headset.

"Superhero: Oni Princess. Have you assessed the situation?"

"My name is Oden!" Yamato glared at the wolf, but the person on the line with her started sweating.

"And don't bother sending others. Even if 20 of these guys show up, they still can't do anything," Yamato proudly replied.

Reaching an impressive 200cm height, Yamato stood valiantly and put her Kanabo over her shoulder.

Her figure was ridiculously beautiful, and if Ren had stayed conscious he would have seen another goddess.

This one with even more ridiculously large breasts.

But somehow, they stood proudly upright.

His imagination would have gone into overdrive as soon as he saw her. Just like what happened with Robin. And an innate desire to conquer her would surface at the same time. One he would embrace.

Another thing he would have noticed, was who came with her.

But he was unconscious.

The guy on the line with her kept silent. A rank and above people had the right to say such words like she did.

Yamato stared a bit more at Ren, her observation Haki enough to check over the monster in case it attacked her.

Somehow, her eyes were just drawn toward Ren, even as she tried to focus back on the fight.

'Such a handsome young man…' His mask had fallen after he was hit badly, and she was easily able to see his face.

'His body looks amazing, he must have trained like crazy… I wonder what he's packing under there…!' Her eyes lingered a bit below his waist area.

Her body heated up a bit, and she blushed.

'W-what? What did I just think about?' Her thoughts turned erratic for a bit.

She quickly shook her head from such thoughts and focused on what was on hand.

'Not the time for this…'

She then saw the few fallen heroes and monster corpses.

"An alpha appeared here, the gates are getting more and more ridiculous…" She thought to herself as her eyebrows were raised.

She then turned to look at her friend, and fellow superhero under the same agency.

"Priority should be saving the downed heroes, and that injured lady, afterward, you can have some fun with those monsters-" Yamato was still speaking when she noticed Robin had moved near Ren and started attending to his wounds using potions.

She didn't even look at the rest.

"Hey, Robin, do you know him?" Yamato had questions in her head as she saw what Robin was doing.

Normally, using her ability, she can save all at once, but it appeared that she was stunned upon seeing Ren like that.

But Robin didn't reply, just barely gave her a nod back.

*Growl*

Meanwhile, a low growl sounded bringing Yamato's attention.

The wolf got up from the ground and started lowering its body as it focused on Yamato.

It howled lowly, giving orders to its pack.

Yamato didn't react much to this.

'Bunch of weaklings…'

Her observation let her see everything happening around her.

'Mostly C ranks, and a few B ranks'

She saw how the pack divided, as some went for Ren, and the rest continued trying to attack Isaki and the flame hero.

She then heard Robin's voice and saw how all of a sudden, Giant arms appeared and swatted a few monsters throwing them aside, destroying their bodies instantly.

But it didn't stop, as a few more giant arms appeared and started beating the other monsters.

Meanwhile, Robin grabbed Ren's downed form and jumped toward Isaki and the other hero.

This way she can protect them all at the same time.

'At least you didn't forget your job as a hero' Yamato excused her actions this time.

It was easy for Robin to deal with those monsters, so Yamato focused on hand.

She picked a few presences approaching her position.

'5 A ranks…'

It seemed to her that the wolf had called for reinforcement.

Just then, a voice sounded in her ears.

"Five presences of A-rank are about to reach your position. Moving immediately to requesting help from nearby A ranks." The voice said.

Yamato put her Kanabo on the ground loudly, making the ground shake.

"Hah? What did you say? Hey you, are you looking down on me?" Yamato's annoyed voice rang up.

The guy was sweating, yelling inside his mind that he was just doing his job.

*Tch*

Yamato cut the call right then.

She then grabbed her Kanabo with both hands.

"Armament!"

*Tsuung*

Her arms were coted in black color until her wrist.

This armament spread over to her Kanabo.

And then her body moved as soon as she saw the new additions to the battlefield.

Five new monsters. Two other wolfs, but these two had six feelers on their heads that they could attack with, and then there was one raven similar looking flying monster, and a Gorilla monster. The last monster was a lizard type, that hadn't appeared just yet.

Similar to the earlier untraceable movement of the wolf against Ren, Yamato couldn't be seen by the monsters.

The ground cracked where she jumped from, and then right above the lizard monster, Yamato appeared swinging her weapon down and made the head of the monster bent in a direction it wasn't supposed to.

Blood spurted, as its head was smashed through soon after and a shockwave resulted from the impact.

Yamato jumped backward and swung her weapon getting rid of the blood.

This was the weakest of the six A ranks, so she moved to kill it instantly.

And even though it had a very strong armor, it didn't matter to Yamato and her Kanabo.

Yamato, looked briefly at the fallen heroes, and then turned to look at the other monsters. They shivered meeting her gaze.

"I won't hold back," Yamato muttered.

Her Kanabo all of a sudden was surrounded by ice.

Fog appeared from her mouth as her gaze turned ice cold.

Her gaze was full of killing intent.

She then moved.

The earlier wolf Ren had attempted to fight, but was proven to be out of his league, was hit by the icy weapon, and froze a it was sent flying away hitting a wall similar to what had happened to Ren before.

Except the frozen wolf's form shattered and the wind scattered the remains.

'Even Zoro came this time, me and him are both enough to handle this alone, but it's better to finish this fast, so, the more heroes the better' Yamato briefly thought, before she focused back to the fight.

The monsters froze in place from fright.

Due to certain 'circumstances', Yamato was able to enter the higher ranks for a while and even vastly exceed Zoro in power. So, she was not a regular A rank.

A special S rank fighting A ranks, that was just straight bullying.

But there was no sympathy for monsters.
