It was a rainy day, a boy wearing a school uniform was holding an umbrella in one hand and an iPhone in another, he checked the time on it and he stood by waiting for the pedestrian traffic light to turn green.

"Sigh, when is this rain gonna stop? It's been going on for a whole week" The boy said.

Then he saw that the pedestrian traffic light turned green and tried to cross the road.

Suddenly in the distance, a truck was headed his way and it looked like the driver was drowsy, the uncomfortable sound of tires screeching could be heard.

Other pedestrians moved out of the way and ran to the other side of the road except for one.

That was the boy named Revlo and for some reason, he just stood still and looked at the approaching truck in fear.

'Move! My body won't move! Why!?'

For some reason Revlo's body couldn't move, it's like the control of his body was overridden by some mysterious force.

A person who moved out of the way noticed this and shouted.

"Kid! What're ya doing? Move"

He ran towards Revlo in an attempt to help, thinking that kid must be too scared to move but unfortunately it was too late.

*Splat*

The sound of someone getting run over was heard and the boy's life was taken away.

"AHH!" a woman who saw this screamed in horror.

'So this is how I die, hehe, at the hands of truck-kun, I've seen this before, don't tell me I'm gonna be reincarnated into another world?' the boy thought with a dry laugh.

These were his last thoughts before his eyes closed from his bloodied face. His first life ended like that.

In the deep void, where darkness is present everywhere, a light flashed and there appeared a light in human form, if you look at it closely, there is a face that resembles deeply of the boy who died earlier, Revlo.

When he saw the place he was in and inspected himself he said.

"Is this the afterlife?"

"Is this what my soul looks like or am I a ghost now?"

He then looked around, but he saw pure darkness with only his own body of light lighting up his surroundings.

He was then anxious and afraid at the possibility of spending an eternity of his time being here, then he remembered the people he left behind.

"Mom, Dad, little brother, my friends...." he said and then cried.

His joking attitude earlier was a coping mechanism because of the despair he felt from the fact that he just died young.

Now realization kicked in and he bawled out and sobbed even though no tears came out of his body of light.

He had many dreams he wanted to accomplish in his life but now it has all gone into smoke.

He wanted to graduate college to become a doctor and make his parents proud.

He wanted to become a doctor to help his little brother who suffered from cancer.

He wanted to thank his friends for always being there for him and enjoying his life with him.

Today was his 15th birthday and he knew that his family and friends were at home preparing a surprise birthday party for him, he was so excited that he hurriedly rushed to his home but now...

Now all of those were no longer possible.

He cried and cried at the thought of never seeing his loved ones again and asked why this happened to him, denial kicked in, and told himself that this was just a dream..no a nightmare.

He just wanted to wake up from this nightmare, he imagined waking up on his small but comfortable bed, eating his mom's food, chatting with his brother who is undergoing chemotherapy, having fun with his friends, and much more.

It's almost like he recalled his entire life but that is now in the past.

Time passed and the wave of sadness weakened but still lingered, there was nothing he could do now and although he could barely accept what just happened, he can only await what fate has in store for him.

After settling down his emotions, he looked around trying to find something other than just darkness.

He wanted to see if a god would pop out and judge if he could go to hell or heaven but there was nothing of the sort and he just continued to be drifted away.

Until another light in the distance suddenly appeared in the shape of an egg and he seemed to be approaching it involuntarily.

He didn't know what is happening or what this entailed but he instinctively tried to swim away from the light but it was useless, he was sucked in slowly without any resistance.

He clenched his fist, gritted his teeth, and closed his eyes, his own body of light merged with the second light and his vision was taken away.

It wasn't until he heard a woman's voice that he opened his eyes.

"Is this my child?"

There he saw a beautiful woman who looked to be in her 30s, she gave off a mature vibe and the way that she looked at him was full of love like a mother would at her child.

"Congratulations big sister, it's a boy" Another woman's voice was heard and he turned his head to take a look and saw a woman whose facial features resembled about 50% of the woman he saw earlier and she seemed to be younger too.

"What are you gonna name him?" the little sister said.

The woman smiled and lovingly gazed at her child while she looked like she was reminiscing something and said "my husband and I already decided to name him Revlo if he was a boy and Rayla if she is a girl"

Hearing this, the little sister or the aunt of our protagonist nodded but felt some sadness and pity as well, then said "Revlo Hathaway it is then"

Listening to their conversation Revlo was surprised and thought.

'I actually reincarnated?'

'and I have the same name as my previous life?'

He then took a good look at what it seems to be his this life's parent and was instantly reminded of his previous life's mother and felt a wave of sadness.

'I will find a way to get back' he thought and pledged in his heart.

He didn't know what type of world he is currently in but if it was possible to be transferred into this world then there must be a way to return.

Only that he didn't know if he could find a way to get back to Earth; even if he found a way to return, how much time would it take for him to find a method to go back? he could return to Earth only to find that his family and friends were old by now or if they have already passed.

He could only pray that finding a way back would be easy.

Now he gazed back at his 'new' mother and didn't know how to feel, he was confused and his emotions were in turmoil. The worrying thing is that he is a baby now and probably wouldn't be able to do anything for several years until he could learn how to crawl or walk and even worse is just imagining that others would have to change his diapers or the fact that his mother would have to breastfeed him, thinking of this, he suddenly felt embarrassed.

'Why did I have to reincarnate with my memory intact? and as a baby too! At least reincarnate me into a 5-year-old or something where I could do something!' He screamed.

But to his aunt and mother, all they hear from him is "goo goo ga ga" and various baby sounds from him.

"He looks like a potato though, I thought babies would be cute and adorable and he doesn't seem to be crying" the aunt blurted out.

The mother giggled and looked at her child once more She opened up one of her breasts and said.

"Feeding time"

'Titties!'

The baby Revlo exclaimed in his thoughts and felt a wave of shame.

"What's wrong? This is good for you, you need milk to stay healthy and strong like your father" the mother said.

'That is true, wait, where is my new father?'

The baby thought and then hesitantly sucked on her mother's breast.

'Get those dirty thoughts out of my head, this is your new mother Revlo, Stop it!'

"Oh my child, your mother loves you"

Hearing these words, Revlo's embarrassment was washed away and was replaced with a warm feeling and tears came out of his eyes.

There were too many things that happened to him in succession and he was still having a hard time accepting it, he got ran over by a truck then died then was separated from his original family possibly forever, and was then reincarnated to be this woman's child and was at a lost on what to think of this.

14 years have passed and he learned many things over the years, the first thing he learned was that this was a world that you would only see in a fantasy novel or manga, where magic exists and myriads of races such as elves, orcs, dwarves, goblins, etc. exist.

A world of swords and magic that resembles medieval times!

Empires, kingdoms, royalties, nobles, etc. you name it.

He had a hard time adjusting to this world and sometimes he would get hit by a random wave of nostalgia for his homeworld but after overcoming the feeling of alienation, he started to slowly get used to living here.

The kingdom that he lived in was in the middle of a war and his father was a knight that died before he was born which is why his aunt and mother felt sorrow when mentioning his father.

Fortunately, the war stopped 10 years ago and he didn't have to experience the hardships of war.

Revlo did his best in learning magic and strengthening himself but found out he had no talent in magic at all nor did he receive any cheats or a system that other protagonists would receive upon being isekai'd.

He was angry and irritated but did not let it get to him and used his previous life's knowledge to get an advantage on the fact that he started training early from an infant to now, which is one of the reasons why he is stronger than most of his peers.

Your learning capabilities and potential are at their highest when you are young and Revlo took advantage of that and that is what he did, he worked his ass off till he passed out and caused his mother to worry about him a lot.

She didn't understand why he is working so hard but was proud that her child was hardworking but sometimes she just had to tell him to take it easy on his training.

She asked why he was working so hard and he just told her that he wanted to be strong like his father as his excuse, she wouldn't know that part of his motivation was so that he could return to Earth one day.

Of course, he loved his new family just as much he loved his old one.

He knew that his chance of finding a way to return to Earth is almost slim to none, but this tiny bit of hope was enough to motivate him to work much harder than everyone else.

Though he found that the development of space magic in this world is not that advanced compared to other magic, he didn't give up.

He was enrolled in a magic academy at an age of 10, this was a prestigious academy that accepts only the talented among the talented, even though he was not talented, the amount of effort he put into training made it seem like he was talented and was able to offset his deficiencies.

(A/N: Asta from black clover anyone?)

He made friends and enemies, fought monsters, and had adventures during his time in the academy, even though his rate of learning magic was much slower than anyone else in an academy full of geniuses, he didn't let this dampen his motivation.

Until his 15th birthday came...

At this point, Revlo was now considered an official mage with good prospects, even though the amount of spells and mana that he has is low compared to others, no one can deny that his abilities make him top-tier amongst the people of a similar level to him.

He was far from reaching the peak of the power hierarchy of this world, he was only in the lower middle class but considering that he is young and it takes time to reach the top and even the most powerful people are over 50 years old some even 100 years old and don't forget that they have talent in magic if they had what it took to reach the peak on what mages could do, it was not that far-fetched to say that he only needed time to develop himself.

It was lucky that his birthdate is during the semester break of the academy thus he could go home and celebrate with his family.

In the middle of his journey heading back though, something happened.
