Chapter 2: Another body

After recovering from the surprise of coming from an egg, I looked around the cave, and eventually at myself. Scales covered what seemed to be my forelegs, and a second set of legs was slightly visible behind the first set, I was surprised at how far my neck could reach as well, making me realize that I was no longer human. 'What the hell is this? I get hit by a truck and get reincarnated as some kind of tiny lizard? Why me, how?' I suddenly heard a growling noise and jumped slightly. looking around myself, there was nothing but stone and moss in the cave, a small amount of light leaked through what must be the entrance to the cave. I then realized that the growl came from my mouth by pure instinct, seems like my brain is all over the place right now. I also suddenly felt extremely hungry and looked at my broken egg. 'Guess something is better than nothing, looks pretty appetizing anyways' I thought as I slowly crept towards the egg and began munching on it. The taste was quite bland, but not terrible enough to stop me from eating it. 

A few minutes pass by as the small creature eats their broken shell as another egg starts to crack in another corner of the cave. After the first cracks sound throughout the cave, the creature turns towards the egg that they didn't see before. Slightly startled, they shuffle back into another corner where they bump into two other eggs. Even more startled the creature runs back to their own, mostly eaten, egg. About one minute later, another similar creature, 'a dragon' said the human part of the first creature, suddenly realizing that is what they looked like as well, if not a slight bit slimmer than the second. A male, decided the first, not really knowing how they knew that. A few moments later, they also realized that they couldn't remember their, no, her?... name. Her mind suddenly swirled, almost into insanity, as she realized that she was a female. Again, she didnt exactly know how, but it had something to do with scent and instinct. As she was busy thinking, her brother ate his egg and started stalking towards her. His scales shone a deep blue while her own were like a star scape, with a black background and multiple white motes scattered around, it was both mesmerizing and beautiful at the same time.

Suddenly her brother pounced and instinct took over, it was like she was pushed out of her body as she lost all rational control and dodged the sudden attack. As she fought to control her own body, she attacked and landed a clean scratch with one of her talons, leaving a long gash along her brothers flank. Startled by this sudden show of dexterity and strength, he jumped back, tripping and falling when a sharp pain shot up his leg. Looking behind himself, he saw his elder sister bighting his leg, though lightly enough to not leave permanent damage. Her brother realizing that he had lost, laid down with a sigh of pain and bowed his head towards her in respect and admiration.

She was still wrestling for control of her body when suddenly, another scent hit her, and a little to late at that, as her new sister pounced on her back, she also decided to to give temporary names to her siblings as it would quickly become chaotic in finding who is who. she decided to name her brother Ao, for his blue scales and Bloom for the summery colors of her new sister, she also decided to call herself star for now. Bloom started biting at Star's neck but missed most of the bites due to star wiggling her neck like a snake. This confused Bloom as it was something she hadn't expected and she tumbled off of Star's back in an extremely ungraceful way, allowing Star to flip around and pounce onto Blooms exposed belly and placing one paw onto her chest. Fury flashed through Bloom's eyes but soon dulled and she nodded her head in respect.

The fourth and final egg promptly cracked open and a small male with light brown scales, Coco, decided Star, tumbled out. As clumsy as he seemed Coco didn't immediately attack, seeing that his eldest sister had beaten both of his other siblings, and came over to sit near her in a sign of submission. Star slowly moved off of Bloom and nodded to all three of her siblings, but she still kept an eye on Bloom to make sure she didn't cause trouble. For some reason she felt that Bloom was to be the most troublesome of the group while Coco was probably going to be weaker but more inquisitive than the rest, so in conclusion, just as likely to cause issues as Bloom. As Star was contemplating her current situation, it suddenly became hard to breathe. As she tried to stand up, finally fully controlling her body again, she found that there was some kind of pressure being exerted upon her entire body. As she looked to the entrance of the cave, she saw a towering figure enter as the pressure suddenly disappeared and a large, seemingly pleased, scaled face appeared right in front of her.
