Primordial evil.

In short, the first evil done in this world. What was it?

Violence without reason, malicious deceit, endless plunder?

No, none of those are strong enough. They're all just derivative evils, so to speak. If wickedness is high or low, it is vulgar.

First of all, the very idea that evil can be done in a world created by a just God is a misconception.

God is absolute, and all the world in his hands is within his sight. Everything that happens there is inevitable. Then there is no reason for evil to happen. If evil did exist, it would be erased before it could happen by God.

So if unquestionable evil is going to happen...

--That would be killing the one true God.

The oldest myth, no longer even written down. It says that evil came into the world because the first man killed the first god.

Only then was death given to the creature. Evil and justice were born there.

Primordial evil is the clog, the first act of killing. To kill someone.

The demon Lugis raised his scripture at the neck of the great demon Vriligant. The wind roared and cut his cheeks, the pressure of the air binding his body.

It was difficult to stand properly when Vriligant's huge body was on the rampage. It's no different than standing in a storm.

And yet, there he was, unperturbed. And he says it as casually as if he were asking his comrades-in-arms to agree. Night has fallen, and darkness has enveloped his cheeks.

"Don't worry, Vriligant. Where there's a beginning, there's an end. It's true. Today is just the day.

Lugis snaps his wrist and grasps his magic sword. There's nothing to stop him now. Vriligant couldn't understand what was about to happen. But he knew there was an enemy out there.

And it was a fearsome one, apparently. Something is about to happen. It must be averted.

For Vriligant, who had lived as a demon, this was a new emotion. Not even when he had faced Altius had he felt this emotion.

The dragon's roar vibrated through the sky over the mountains, and gusts of wind like a storm shot out from its wings. The behavior that caused even nature to fluctuate was truly that of a pillar of the former gods.

Lugis' lips moved smoothly. The rampage of the Amagi Dragon is no longer in time.

"Unlock the sourcebook... farewell forever. You were great. But I met a corpse slain by Althea.

The purple lightning sword sliced through the dragon's huge body in a single breath, shining with divine light.

It's an impossible swing. It was an impossible swing. The sword seemed to have only swung at the neck, but there was a definite feeling that it had pierced the entire body. And so, it shattered Vriligant's reverse scales.

As if time had ceased to breathe, there was a momentary void. For a moment, the sky and the earth both swallowed their breath and accepted the tranquility.

Then, in the next moment, the gears that had stopped moving began to move.

"-----oh-oh-oh!

It's not a voice, it's not even a sound. Not a voice, not even a sound, just a vibration that made the air pulse.

Vriligant's huge body is letting out a distortion that has never been heard before. Next, there was a thunderous roar, and the earth tilted.

And then, finally, the world understood what this meant.

An immortal dragon named Vriligant is about to be lost to the world for the first time.

The death that was to come on the day he lost his heart was about to begin here and now, hundreds of years later.

A voice that could not be called a sob or a scream echoed through the air. It was truly a scream.

--But even so, Vriligant would not stop.

It wasn't that he was driven by the pride of being the Amagi Dragon, or that he was groaning in pain.

He just didn't know. The dragon does not know death, does not know fear, does not know staying.

So the dragon would not stop wielding his now-dead body, taking and destroying it. That is, until a decisive catastrophe comes.

--and so the doom poured forth in reddish bronze.

Vriligant bared his eyes. Its wings, which would normally have reacted with agility, no longer listened to him. Its throat no longer breathed, and its claws and fangs creaked.

Everything about the Amagi Dragon was about to die.

Therefore, there is no way to avoid the great red-bronze fireball that is about to devour you with even a fingertip. I'm not sure what to make of it.

I'm sorry.

--I'm not going to call it a miracle.

If you don't call this a miracle, then there will be no miracles in this world.

I'm not sure what to say. He gave death to the deathless void of Vriligant. He devoured a part of his source material.

The improbable is possible. Perhaps that's his source material.

The power to kill everything that has a beginning. Primordial evil.

Vriligant's once matchless stature is about to be destroyed by the fact that his source has brought death back and taken his heart.

An existence that could not be killed by the strongest of men, but with a single swing.

Shadrapto felt his neck go numb. His teeth wouldn't click together. He was deeply moved by the miracle, but at the same time, a fearful feeling swept over him.

The original is a manifestation of desire, but it is not so universal that everything will come true if you want it to. The soul is the vessel, and the will controls it.

If the will declares it impossible, the original will never come true.

If the will declares something impossible, the original will never do it.

But Lugis killed the deathless dragon with the original.

--It means that he believes in his core that he can kill even gods.

I felt my back tense up. My cheeks twisted. He definitely believes that he can kill even Artius. If he were to come up against Altius, he would wield his magic sword without hesitation.

I knew there was something wrong with him. I knew there was something wrong with him, but I never thought it would be this deadly. Shadrapto wrinkles his brow and clacks his teeth.

But then he lifted his cheeks. Lugis is not important right now. What matters is that a corner of the gods is dying.

Shadrapto's skin, which had been imitating that of a human, was beginning to regain its reddish bronze scales. Gradually, his body began to change into that of a dragon. His fingers were replaced by sharp claws, and the wings on his back began to take on a more powerful appearance.

I wondered how long it had been since he had taken on the full form of a dragon. I've taken on the form of a flying dragon before, but I haven't taken on the form I once had in hundreds of years.

After all, there was no telling when Vriligant would return. This body had to be hidden.

But for once, that was not necessary. Shadrapto's heart was palpitating with unfathomable excitement.

If left unchecked, Vriligant would surely meet its demise somewhere down the road. Shadrapto thought that perhaps that was the choice he should have made.

--But now, without a doubt, it could be destroyed in a single breath. Vriligant was no longer the deathless monster he had been. From god to dragon he has fallen.

Shadrapto, the queen dragon of bronze, took on the form of a great dragon and opened her mouth wide.

"Lugis has given you death. Then I will give you destruction.

A huge fireball shoots out of its mouth one after another. It's not that I don't like it.

It's a great way to make sure you don't get caught in the middle of the action.

"Oh, Vriligant! Now your beloved dragon tribe has perished! They will never rise again!
