After buying what we needed at the mall, we decided to go to the supermarket to buy food for today’s dinner.

‘Why don’t we just order delivery or go to a convenience store?’ I asked, I could not refute her, because she looked somewhat miffed and strongly said, “I’ll cook tonight.”

“This is the first time I’ve been to a supermarket since I started high school,” I said.

“Really? How can you live alone with that?”

“Shut up, don’t make fun of me.”

“I’m not making fun of you…. Anyways, what would you like on the menu today?”

“Can you cook anything?”

“There are some things I can’t make, but I can make most things.”

When asked to come up with a dish, I couldn’t think of anything right away, so I ended up saying, “I’ll leave it up to you.”

The Angel quickly placed the items to be purchased into the shopping cart.

“Have you decided on the menu yet?”

“If there had been a request, I would have made it, but you said it was up to me.”

“Then, what’s on the menu today?”

“I was thinking of making oyakodon, since eggs were cheap today.”

“…I see.”

“Ah, do you have any allergies?”

“I don’t have any, so everything is fine.”

And then she resumed shopping, just like a housewife. I really felt that.

As a result of buying seasonings and various other things, I ended up with about three supermarket bags.

“I’m sorry I bought so much …”

“No, I don’t really understand, so it was a big help.”

When we arrived home, she immediately started preparing dinner.

“No need to be in such a hurry.”

“No, We’re late because of my clothes shopping.”

“I see.”

I read a novel while she was busy cooking. I had lied down after reading a good part of the novel and was curious to see what would happen next.

I was lying on the sofa in my room, reading the novel, and was about to find out who the culprit was, when, at an inopportune moment, Angel brought the meal she had cooked to the table.

“Shall we eat then?”

“….Ah…”

“What’s wrong?”

I couldn’t say I was at the good part, and I replied that it was nothing.

I picked up my chopsticks and ate my oyakodon.

“Delicious!”

I couldn’t help but squeal. It was really delicious, and for some reason, I naturally grinned.

Do human beings grin when they eat something delicious?

Then, the Angel looked at me with a curious look.

“What’s the matter?”

“It’s nothing, I was just thinking how delightfully you are eating.”

The oyakodon was delicious, but it was rare to see such well-balanced and colorful dishes as shiitake mushroom soup and daikon radish salad, and it might have been the first time since middle school that I had such a meal, which made my face relax.

“That’s because it’s delicious.”

“Thank goodness… my father never said it tasted good, so He always used to get mad at me for how I could serve such bad food.”

The expression on her face at that time was still somewhat sad, her eyes filled with sadness.

She was empty. When I was traumatized by my ex-girlfriend, it was my family that saved me. I was here now because of my family.

What about her? Her mother died in a car accident and her father forced her to sell her body….

“Be confident, your cooking is delicious”

“Thank you very much, Can I ask a favor?”

“What’s that?”

“I have a proper name, and I don’t like it when people call me you or Angel…”

“Um, what’s your name again?”

She looked utterly dumbfounded. I had always thought that I didn’t need to remember girls’ names.

“Again, I’m Kaede Shimizu, 15 years old.”

“Ren Hayasaka.”

“I’ll be in your care.”

“Hehe, I’m kind of embarrassed,” she said, blushing a little on her beautiful cheeks.

Staring at her, Kaede hid her face with the stuffed toy as it grew redder and redder.

I was more interested in the oyakodon than the reddening Kaede.

“Aren’t you going to eat? It’s getting cold?”

“I have a cat tongue!!!”

(T/N: Cat tongue:- can’t handle hot food)

And hugged the stuffed toy for a few minutes and did not let go.

Meanwhile, the oyakodon was getting cold.
