The significance of being a top seat at the Liberion Academy was great.

Because being at top of a grade signified being the strongest in the Empire in that age group.

The academy was well aware of this meaning, thus it spared no investment in the top seat.

The largest room in the dormitory was provided for one person, and the study room for one person was provided.

It seemed to show the other students that the top and the lower grades were different.

Of course, the second seat and lower ranks treated students with lower grades as discriminatory, but they did not treat them as different as the top seat.

“Hmm······.”

I went into the dormitory room provided.

At first, I almost felt admiration, but I barely uttered a pathetic sound.

My room in the Duke of Astria was very large, but this room was bigger than the main room.

It was so big that I thought the room would be too cold if I used it alone.

As I looked around the room, the knight, who was carrying my luggage behind me, placed my luggage in one corner of the room and stood on the other side of the room.

What are you standing like that?

I’ll have to go back to my family after the entrance ceremony anyway, so I can send him in advance.

“Go back to your family now.”

When I said this, the knight made a slightly startled face

“Family……Is it with…?”

“Yeah, you don’t have anything to do anyway.”

When I told him, the knight thought for a moment and gave me a nod.

“Knight Belliam, going back.”

“Yeah yeah”

I beckoned the knight to leave.

The knight who greeted me like that opened the door and tried to go outside.

However, the knight could not leave and bowed down.

“I greet the Star of the Empire, the First Princess.”

A blonde woman stood in front of the door.

A woman with golden lustrous hair on her fair skin.

The woman gently knocked at the door opened by the knight with an elegant gesture.

“Can I come in?”

Knocking with a bewitching smile.

She was someone I knew too well.

One of the main heroines of ‘Academy’s Top Wizard’ and the First Princess of the Empire – Rie von Ristonia.

If I had a nickname called ‘Forever Second Seat’, Rie was someone who always came in third place.

Although she was admitted as the second seat, she was then pushed to third place behind me and the main character.

She, on the other hand, was the one with the most gravitas in the academy.

She usually walked around with an inexplicable smile on her face, and her charisma, which comes out when she needs it, always overwhelms the crowd.

Because of her charisma, she was always surrounded by people, and the princess took advantage of those people to illustrate her influence.

Was there, however, a story about the princess visiting me?

No matter how much of a veteran I am, I don’t know the whole story.

The story always progresses from the main character’s point of view, so it is impossible to know what is happening outside of the main character’s eyes.

“I greet the First Princess of the Empire.”

For now, I calmly greeted the princess with courtesy.

“You don’t have to greet me like that. We are the same student here, aren’t we?”

The princess answered slyly, smiling at the corners of her mouth.

The princess had a valid point.

Everyone was treated equally at the Liberion Academy, regardless of their socioeconomic status as the school rule.

Even so, this did not mean that there were no conflicts arising from status differences.

Of course, all such conflicts were resolved when the protagonist, who is a commoner, takes the top seat…

“I understand. But why did you suddenly visit here?”

“I came here to say hello, a classmate I will see again and again.”

She said so, but I don’t think it’s for such a frivolous reason.

She’s not the kind of person who wanders around without thinking like that.

The person who plans and envisions everything thoroughly cannot move so lightly.

And first of all, she hates the Astria family very much.

The reason she came to the Liberion Academy was to strengthen the imperial power.

After creating her own faction, she intends to treat them as her own henchmen even in her imperial court.

The academy was a place of learning, but it was also a society.

Just coming here can make your faction grow.

‘Rudy Astria’ was a stumbling block for Rie, who came to create a faction.

The Astria family is ducal, the greatest power outside the imperial family.

In addition, ‘Rudy Astria’ tried to form a faction centering on himself, so he had no choice but to keep fighting with the princess.

Those things were a later story, it had nothing to do with now.

However, from the beginning of the game, the princess rejected ‘Rudy Astria’.

She behaved normally in the front, but I saw her frowning behind me several times.

The scenes showed that the princess hated Rudy Astria even before she came to the Academy.

But why did she come looking for a person she didn’t like?

“It’s okay, you can tell me why you came?.”

“Oh my, I came here because I wanted to get to know you. Do you doubt my sincerity?”

It may have been rude to say, but Princess Rie smiled as if it were funny.

Seeing that she had such a reaction when asked this much, she seemed to have come just to explore.

I’m used to seeing her for a long time in the game, but it’s my first time meeting a princess.

“Young Master, I will leave now.”

The knight thought it was rude to keep standing at the entrance and listening to the story, so he greeted the two of us and headed out of the room.

Princess Rie saw the knight leaving the room and looked around her.

“Come to think of it, did the Duke and Duchess of Astria come?”

“Both of them were busy with work and couldn’t come.”

“Hmm… is that so?”

Princess Rie took on a look of disappointment.

It felt like it was acting.

The Duke of Astria was not an ordinary person, he was in charge of the axis of the empire.

If the Duke had moved, there was no way the princess wouldn’t have known about it.

“Will the entrance ceremony begin soon? I’ll have to change into a school uniform soon.”

It means you must leave now.

Continuing to talk to her wouldn’t do anything good.

She was someone who hated me the most in the academy, so I was glad if she didn’t dig out my weaknesses.

“Okay. We should head to the entrance ceremony soon.”

The princess smiled and opened the door.

“See you later.”

I looked at the princess who left the door like that.

See you later?

I’ll never see you.

The more the story progresses, the more I will get involved even if I don’t want to, but there’s no need to hasten it.

And it was not easy to meet the princess in a place where hundreds of freshmen had gathered.

The cherry blossoms scattered and the sound of flowers enveloped the surroundings.

The warm sunlight and the fluttering petals.

The fact that it was spring came to my mind.

Also, the full-bodied uniform worn over my body reminded me of my old high school days.

It was awkward, but my heart was pounding in anticipation of a new meeting.

But the situation then and now was very different.

If I don’t get my act together here, I can die.

And while studying was optional then, it is essential here.

If I try to enjoy my youth without studying properly, I will reach the end of death.

I have to risk my life to study.

As I began to feel that kind of pressure, my excitement vanished.

I walked between people and moved to the entrance ceremony venue.

It’s the entrance ceremony, thus crowded with parents and other people.

And as I got closer to the place, I saw people who looked like students checking their IDs and guiding the new students.

After that, blocking people other than students from entering.

It seemed like it would be too complicated if the parents were in the presence of the students.

I went there and presented my ID card to enter the entrance ceremony.

“Here it is.”

A black-haired girl wearing an armband accepted the ID.

“Rudy… Astria?”

The student who received the ID card looked between my ID card and me.

“Ah…this is the top seat. You have to go at the front over there”

“Front… is it?”

When I asked, the student smiled broadly and pointed her hand to the front.

Two seats next to the VIP seats.

In one seat, the first princess I met earlier, Rie von Ristonia, was sitting.

A seat reserved for the top seat and second seat separately.

She must have meant this when the princess asked to meet later.

Inevitably, I had no choice but to sit next to the princess.

“We met again.”

The princess greeted me warmly.

I bowed my head slightly and sat down in my seat.

Then the princess opened her mouth and began to tell several stories.

“It seems that there are many outstanding people among these new students. Like ‘Locke Lucarion’, the son of the Northern Marquess, or ‘Serina Rijnsburgse’, the daughter of the Imperial Family Spirit Chief, and so on… ~.”

The people the Princess spoke about were people I knew.

Although not in the lead role, they were frequently mentioned in supporting roles.

In addition to that, I was listening quietly to what was being said.

I didn’t hate talking to anyone.

However, the fact that the opponent was a princess made this place look like a thorn cushion.

She looks so soft, but she’s grinding a knife inside.

“There are such famous people, but…~.”

The princess pointed her finger at me.

“In fact, Master Rudy and I would be the most famous celebrities.”

Rie’s appearance, smiling as she said it, was a bewitching look that would have befallen every man in the world.

That’s why I thought that the appearance of a person is important.

I felt drawn to the princess as she smiled with a great appearance.

Don’t let your guard down.

She’s ‘Rie von Ristonia’ who puts a knife on a person’s back with a smile like that.

As I listened to the princess’ story, it seemed that the preparations for the entrance ceremony were over.

“Ah, from now on, we will start the Liberion Academy entrance ceremony”

The entrance ceremony began with the host holding the microphone.

“That’s all for the principal’s congratulatory speech.”

The entrance ceremony was no different from an ordinary high school entrance ceremony.

I just listened to the boring congratulatory speech of the guests from home and abroad.

But now that the principal’s congratulatory speech was over, the entrance ceremony was almost over.

“Next, there will be a thank-you note from the freshman representative.”

Freshman representative?

I’ve never heard of anyone being chosen as a freshman representative.

By the way, these representatives are usually the best students with the best grades, aren’t they?

“Student Rudy Astria? Please come up.”

Yes. The freshman representative was me.

I spent a week distracted by the fact that I had transmigrated, so I did not receive such news.

No, I might have been delivered before I transmigrated…

I had many thoughts, but for now, the first thing to do was to get over the situation.

Without panicking, I moved onto the podium.

As I walked up to the podium, hundreds of people were staring at me.

I didn’t have many opportunities to speak in front of a few people, but now I stood in front of hundreds of people without a script.

I must not make a mistake.

I am Rudy Astria.

A noble and arrogant guy.

If such a person makes a mistake in a place like this, the image will be shattered.

I calmed my heart and opened my mouth.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the principal and distinguished guests from home and abroad for their kind words.”

The best way not to make a mistake here is to not be verbose.

Rather, short and thin is the way to avoid mistakes.

But I shouldn’t be arrogant.

I’m still going to build up a bad image, but if I do it from the beginning, it would only bring me closer to a bad ending.

“Everyone has entered the academy, so please study hard and enjoy your youth.”

It was a ceremonial word that anyone could say.

When I said that and stood still, everyone looked at me with puzzled faces.

There was nothing but silence.

It was the host who broke the silence

“…Is it over?”

I spoke boldly to the host’s question.

Arrogant and proud like ‘Rudy Astria’.

“Yes. This is the end.”

“…Hmmm, He was the freshman representative, Rudy Astria.”

The host seemed a little perplexed, but he continued the process skillfully.

I came down from the stage with the host’s progress.

On the way down, I met Princess Rie and her eyes were a little different.

Her eyes, looking at me curiously, were sharp, as if they were hunting for prey.

And unlike before, I didn’t say anything.
