< Sometimes God isn't able to help you as you are already on Devil's list >

Tic-tok, tic-tok, tic-tok....

As the silence covered the night in the house, the clock ticking at its regular pace could be heard clearly. The dinner on the table, waiting to eat, was slowly cooling down. Ryan was sitting in his room with both his knees erect and thinking deeply; his nose had become red after crying for a while. Ryan pulls the extra pair of glasses from the drawer of his study table. He picks up his jacket on the chair near the study table and wears it. He puts the hood of the jacket on to cover his face as it was covered with bruises and became swollen.

He slowly gets out of his room, avoiding making as much noise as possible. He peeks into the other room slowly from the gap between the room and the wall, and as he sees his mother sleeping, he starts to move out. The night in the city was full of lights and busy with people. Everybody was engaged and immersed in their own world, work, and tension; it's a world where nobody cares what the other person is going through, and a person like Ryan was no exception.

As he walked through the pathway, he was lost in his thoughts; his eyes showed no emotion.

"Excuse me, gentleman," an unfamiliar voice came.

As Ryan stopped and turnaround, a gentleman was standing there in a black lounge suit, top hat, walking cane in hand with a skull on the top of it and a monocle on his right eye; his attire and dressing sense resembled that of 80s men.

"I am delighted to introduce myself as Lucifer and I am a dealer or what you more prefer as a salesman. Although I have completed my today's task, unluckily I still have one product left to sell. If you don't mind can you buy it, and don't worry I am willing to give you it for free, dear customer".

The man said and took out a pendant with a little skull structure from the right pocket of his suit.

"That fake smile is definitely a sign of a con artist. Does he think that I am a kindergarten kid who will fall for his trick? And what kind of salesman dresses like this" Ryan in his mind.

"Yeah....no, I am not interested," Ryan replies.

"Hm, it's a lucky pendant with blessing. Who knows, maybe your luck might change. I am sure it will change your life forever, and most importantly, it's free of cost," the person insisted.

"What kind of blessing does a skull pendant has? Blessings of hell, At least try to be more logical, dude. Well, whatever I am just gonna die anyway and if taking this pendant makes this person accomplish something then I should help him; at least he will be happy," Ryan thinks in his mind.

Ryan suddenly takes the pendant, puts it in his pocket, and starts walking again without looking backward.

The man takes the hat from his head as a manner to show respect.

"I hope you will like it, dear customer," the person says, giving a devious smile and suddenly disappearing in thin air.

After walking for a while, Ryan reaches near a bridge; he crosses the bridge's railing and looks at the water.

"I am gonna end this, forever. In this world, there is no chance for someone like me. I am sorry, mom, I can't take this anymore."

Ryan says and jumps off the bridge without hesitating or giving a second thought. As he drowns deep into the river, his life flashes in front of him, and he slowly loses consciousness; suddenly, the pendant in his pocket starts to shine.
