Chapter 15: Chapter 13

She touched him with her paws and hurriedly took him out of her space. She couldn't let him know the existence of her space.

 

Crash!

 

As soon as they appeared in the corner of the supermarket, the young man's body crashed into the boxes there. She forgot that her fox form was so light so the boxes could hold her weight before. While now, the boxes simply couldn't hold his weight at all and crushed under his tall body.

 

"Uh..." He let out a groan as his body crashed to the ground.

 

Ouch.. that must be hurt. Her emerald eyes glinted with guilt when she saw his sorry figure. Well, he can’t blame her for forgetting their difference in weight. This is the first time she has turned into a fox.

 

The young man slowly opened his eyes. Feeling a splitting headache, he supported his head while propping himself up. As soon as he looked up, he saw a little white fox looking at him with a pair of bright emerald eyes. Those clear, lively eyes blink at him cutely.

 

The two looked at each other for a long time. Suddenly, the white fox turned around, jumped out of the window before disappearing into the night. He lowered his raised hand as he wanted to pat the white fox, but the white fox's movements were too fast for him to do it. Looking out the window, his eyes darkened.

 

Liu QingHe ran for a while before jumping into bushes. Staying behind the bushes, she saw him walk around and check the shop. 

 

‘He should be alright, right? This shop was full of supplies and there is an ax there inside the emergency box. He could use that for his protection.’

 

She observed him the whole day. At dawn, she saw him leaving the shop with a backpack and an ax. After he left, she changed back into her human form and collected all the supplies in the shop.

 

She stopped at the dark corner and saw the green nucleus under the boxes. Picking up the nucleus, she kept it in her space. 

 

‘Luckily this nucleus was not taken away by him.’

 

When she turned, her arm was scratched by the stapler sticking out of the box. When she saw her arm, the wound was healing at a fast speed but her blood was red. Her eyes widened when she saw it. She has self-healing power!

 

‘Is it possible to heal others only by changing into the fox form and using my blood? If that’s the case then I can’t let others know.’

 

Since she couldn’t use her fox form to fight, if she joins the survivor base later, she should register as a space ability-user. Usually the base will place more importance on a space ability-user. So her safety will be more guaranteed. 

 

After making the decision, Liu QingHe looked outside the window and saw the sky started to brighten. Touching her stomach, she felt weird when she didn’t feel hungry even though she didn’t eat yesterday. 

 

‘Is there something wrong with my body? Nevermind, I will eat when I'm hungry. It's also good to save on my supplies.’

 

She was thinking about where to go while she walked out of the shop when suddenly a sharp object was placed on her neck.

 

Her body tense up and she raised both of her hands slowly while saying, “Who are you? What do you want?”

 

"Don't move or I'll cut your throat. Get all your stuff out." A hoarse voice came from behind her. It sounded like a man's voice.

 

She took a caramel bar from her right pocket, two packs of cookies from her left pocket, and threw it on the ground. "That's all I have."

 

"Don't lie! Take all your things out." The man pushed the ‘knife’ deeper into her neck, and a trace of blood oozed from the wound.

Her back was covered in cold sweat. If he finds out that her wounds are healing fast, it will cause her trouble. She should do something.

 

"Hey, I didn't lie, that's all I have. This shop was looted and there was nothing in it when I came." She lies without blushing.

 

After speaking, she felt his hand groping around her. "What are you doing?!" Liu Qinghe struggled, trying to resist him.

 

“Stop struggling or I'll kill you!” He shouted.

 

Liu Qinghe could feel that if she persisted, he would really kill her. Gritting her teeth, she stood there as he groped over her body. When he stopped touching her, she gritted her teeth and said, "Look, there's really nothing."

 

Bam!

 

That man pushed her to the ground and quickly picked up the caramel bar and cookies. 

 

Liu Qinghe fell to the ground and hit her elbow. She turned to see what he looked like. But when she turned around, there was no one there. She looked around, and saw no one.

 

‘Isn’t that man moving too fast? Is he an ability-user?’

 

Getting up and rubbing her elbow, she touched her neck and felt her wound was gone. Wiping the blood from her neck, she quickly left the place.

 

Unbeknownst to her, a pair of cat-like blue eyes were watching her every move. Seeing that there was no wound on her neck, those eyes shrank.  

 

‘Is she a healing ability-user? Maybe she could heal my condition. I should follow her.’

 

Wush! In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from that place.

 

After Liu QingHe left the shop, instead of taking out her car she chose to walk. She always felt that someone was following her.

 

‘Is it the unconscious young man, or the madman from before?’  Not knowing who it was or what they wanted, she walked on guard.

 

After walking for nearly two hours, she finally saw another minimarket. However, there is a damaged car parked in front of the minimarket. She walked slowly to the window. Putting her ear to the window, she vaguely heard someone chatting inside.

 

"Brother, I think it's better to wait for the government to send someone to rescue us." A clear voice said with a hint of impatience.

 

"No. Mom, Dad and Lihua can't wait that long. We should go to the city to find them, the sooner the better." A low voice said worriedly.

 

"But they are already dead!" Liu Qinghe heard the girl's cry.

 

"Lixue! How can you say that?!" The man shouted loudly, with obvious anger in his tone.

 

‘Hm? Are they Lihua's family?’ Liu Qinghe thought about it and decided to go in.
