Before doing anything else, Raymond decided to go and buy something better to cover his eyes with. After looking around for a while, he settled on a black headband made out of some sort of exquisite fabric. Normally he would've paid a little more attention, but after using sword force through his Heaven-Piercing Eyes, he was mentally drained. This type of exhaustion was way worse than physical exhaustion since it was hard to do pretty much anything normally, but Raymond tried his best to hang in there.
After buying himself a couple of meat skewers at a stand along the road, Raymond walked to the only park in Kredon. This park was pretty big, and since it was situated a bit further into the city, Raymond had to walk for a while to arrive there. Along the way, he got plenty of curious glances and looks. It wasn't often you saw a blind man walking the streets, especially not someone as young as Raymond. What was even more perplexing was perhaps the relative ease he walked around with.
After realising that he was a cultivator, most curious passersby just attributed his strange behaviour to the wondrous world of cultivation. There were people out there that could destroy mountains with just a punch, was a blind man walking normally really that weird in comparison? After walking for a while, Raymond arrived at the park, where he soon found himself on a bench.
Basking in the sun whilst eating lunch, Raymond was in a good mood. He needed some time to relax. All of the tension and stress from fleeing Greencrest city wasn't gone yet, and that, coupled with Raymond's awakening just now was really taking a toll on him. Now that everything was over, he needed to relax his mind and body, and what better way to do it other than basking in the sun?
The day slowly passed whilst Raymond was just sitting in the park by himself, staring into the sky. Anyone that passed by and saw him would surely think that he was a bit strange. A blind man sitting by himself, staring at the sky and smiling, what kind of weird scene was that? Unbeknownst to them, Raymond wasn't blind, and he was certainly not just staring at the sky for no reason. To be more exact, he was looking at the trees. To be even more specific, he was watching the wind as it swept by, rustling the leaves on the trees.
As he watched the wind, Raymond entered a weird state, and if anyone could see his eyes, they would notice that the strange runes on his irises were glittering with a faint and mysterious light. The real change was taking place in Raymond consciousness, the domain of his soul. The small pool of sword force that had been resting here was growing larger and larger until it had eventually doubled in size.
After it had enlarged this much, the sword force started condensing itself until it was about 25% smaller. In the end, the amount of sword force Raymond had increased by about 50% and also became about 50% stronger. This was a massive difference, and when Raymond soon returned to normal, he instantly noticed this abnormality. To think he would gain another epiphany after just observing the wind for a while, was this thanks to his upgraded talent? Or was he just lucky?
Raymond wasn't sure, but he was still pleasantly surprised. After taking a look at his status, he noticed that his sword force had upgraded into [Sword Force: Intermediate]. The power of the sword force was excellent, and Raymond's general power benefited a lot, even though it was just a jump in a minor realm. Overall, Raymond's strength was increased by at least 50%, and that was if he didn't factor in his eyes. After he learned how to make use of his eyes correctly, Raymond was sure that he was going to become even stronger.
As Raymond was thinking to himself, he noticed that someone was approaching him, or to be more specific, they were approaching the bench he was sitting on. The person approaching was a young man with a peculiar temperament. To Raymond, this young man looked like he was someone extraordinary, yet the young man seemed to have no confidence in himself. But Raymond wouldn't judge, maybe it was just a facade, either way, it had nothing to do with him.
The young man didn't really take notice of Raymond, and just sat down next to him absentmindedly. Now that he was next to him, Raymond noticed a few more things about the young man. First off, he was only in the 2nd revolution of body-refining. Considering the fact that the young man looked to be around 16 or 17 years of age, such cultivation could only be described as trash in a big city like Kredon.
The clothes the young man was wearing were all of the highest quality, and Raymond guessed that this young man came from a noble background. That only made his cultivation seem even more trash since he would have access to a lot more resources than normal people, yet his cultivation was still barely normal. Whilst Raymond was busy pondering, the young man next to him was also observing him.
The young man had chosen to sit down next to Raymond on a whim, it was the closest bench to him after all. After sitting down, he noticed this seemingly blind young man. Although a young man being blind was a little unusual, it wasn't that weird. What made the young man perplexed was this blind young man's cultivation. Although he was only in the 4th revolution of body-refining, he almost seemed stronger than someone at the 7th revolution, at least if he only judged by his aura.
"You seem to have company."
The young man was surprised by Raymond's sudden words, and he didn't seem to understand what he was talking about. Just when he was about to ask him, an annoying voice interrupted him.
"Well well well, if it isn't young master Garrett. What a coincidence, to think we would run into you here."
"I doubt it's actually a coincidence, what do you want Sylas?" The young man seemed annoyed by the young man named Sylas.
"I don't understand what you mean, I was just taking a walk, am I not even allowed to talk to you?"
The sarcastic tone of his voice was grating to the ears, and anyone who heard it would get annoyed.
"How the supreme genius of the Garrett family has fallen. From the peak of the body-refining realm to the bottom, what a sad existence you have become."
"You're not any better Sylas, when I still had my strength, you wouldn't even dare look at me you piece of shit." The young man of the Garrett family was becoming more and more annoyed the more Sylas spoke.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you guys, but do you mind?"
Before things got too heated, Raymond suddenly spoke up, disrupting the scene.. To Sylas and his two friends that could only be described as henchmen, this was a weird turn that they didn't expect.
