Chapter TwentyOne (Character Counts: 1045)

71

When the Stand-in returned home from class, the President was still lying on the sofa, as if he hadn’t left the sofa since he left.

However, when the Stand-in examined the documents sent by the secretary, he noticed that the signature and mark out were not missing, and the computer that had been set aside was still slightly warm.

The Stand-in hooked the corner of his mouth and said nothing.

After the Stand-in prepared a good meal in the evening, but the President remained on the sofa and refused to eat anything.

The Stand-in called him: “The boss has eaten.”

He remains motionless.

He yelled once more, “Leader, dinner is ready.”

Still no movement.

Finally, he called the President’s name, and the President moved a little bit.

“ZZ.” The Stand-in tried to shout in this manner, but the President jumped up and glared at him angrily.

But he eventually agreed to eat dinner.

“Get out!”

The Stand-in immediately put down the bowl and chopsticks and stood up.

Seeing him so docile, the President said coldly: “Forget it, don’t get out, go there and kneel.”

The Stand-in stopped and knelt down on the spot.

The Stand-in bowed his head and knelt in front of the President without complaint. The President was desperate: “Why are you even willing to do this kind of thing, but you don’t want to be with me.”

The Stand-in said: “Because I can’t do things that are too high grade.”

The President apologized to the Stand-in.

The President, who had been quite arrogant during the day, was beaten back to his original type again. He continued to apologize while holding the Stand-in.

The Stand-in thought nothing of it, so he simply stated, “It’s not a big deal. I can even kowtow to you if you want.”

The Stand-in still couldn’t understand the President’s mood. He wondered, “Why do you take it so seriously? Which boss does not treat their employees like dogs? Isn’t it common for someone who works for someone to be humiliated several times by the leader?”

The President was even more desperate.

The Stand-in is still perplexed as to why the President appears sadder than he does?

The President still didn’t go to work the next day. When the Stand-in left for class, the President sat on the sofa in a daze. Seeing that he was leaving, he hugged him at the door.

The President was still at home when the Stand-in returned from class, but this time he moved from the sofa to the dining table and said he needed to talk to him about something.

“I want to change some content of the contract.“ The President said as he handed the new contract to the Stand-in, “Take a look.”

The new contract has changed the working hours. The original working hours of 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning and from 7:00 in the evening to 1:00 in the morning have been changed to 9:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening, with a two-hour lunch break in the middle.

“What about after seven o’clock?”

“Get off work after seven o’clock.”

“What if I have to go to a class at work?”

“Attending class counts as your work content.” The President motioned to the Stand-in to scroll down, and the Stand-in saw that there was new content in the contract, which actually required him to attend classes at the university.

“A friend I know teaches at the university and just happens to be short of an assistant,” the President said, “So when you don’t have a class, go to him and help out with whatever he asks you to do.”

A schedule is also attached to the contract, all of which are related to programming. After confirming the time, the Stand-in asked: “So there is not much time for housework.”

The President said, “Then don’t do it.”

The President added, “Another one has been deleted. You can confirm it again.”

The Stand-in looked at it again. The original “no smiling” rule was removed.

The Stand-in quietly looked at the President.

The President asked softly, “Can you accept the new contract?”

The Stand-in smiled at the President.
