Ch100 - I’m The Only One Allowed To See This Part

The winter holidays were approaching and the weather gradually turned cold.

During the weekend, Yan Qiu woke up and noticed that there was snow on the bare branches outside. There were also icicles hanging down the eaves.

When Ji Xinglan came inside, Yan Qiu had already changed into a new, white cashmere shirt and was wrapped up in a thick scarf, beanie, and gloves as he stood by the misted and frosted window to look outside.

“Let’s go.”

They went downstairs to get into the car and drove to the hospital according to their appointed time so that Yan Qiu could receive his first ultrasound scan.

Perhaps it was because of the weather, but despite the fact that it was the weekend, there were fewer pedestrians and cars compared to usual days.

The parking lot outside the hospital was covered in a thin layer of snow. When Yan Qiu opened the door to get out, he bent down to grab some snow and rolled it into a ball. Once he was bored with it, he stuffed it into Ji Xinglan’s hands.

The heater was turned on in the waiting room on the second floor of the hospital, and the metal chairs were finally not as cold as last time.

They went up and down the hospital for the checkup, and when they were finally done, Yan Qiu returned to the waiting room and saw that there were now a few people inside.

He avoided the others and chose a seat that was closest to the heater before he sat down. He then turned on his terminal to read the Pregnant Omega Health Care Guide, which Ji Xinglan forced him to read. After going through an entire morning’s worth of checkups, he was a little tired.

When it was nearing noon, the heater beside him caused him to feel a little drowsy. The hand holding the terminal slumped down, and his head lolled to the side as his eyes fell shut.

Yan Qiu didn’t know when he fell asleep.

When he woke up, Ji Xinglan was already standing in front of him, and he handed Yan Qiu a paper cup with warm water inside.

Yan Qiu rubbed his eyes and took the cup to take a sip so that he could wet his slightly dry lips. His pale knuckles also turned warm because of it.

He held the paper cup. When he looked at Ji Xinglan, he found that Ji Xinglan was smiling, as if he had something to say.

Logically speaking, Yan Qiu had only been pregnant for a little over a month, so they should be unable to figure out anything special, but the smile on Ji Xinglan’s face did not seem fake.

Yan Qiu thought that he must have run into something that brought him joy, so he quietly finished the water in the cup and waited for Ji Xinglan to speak.

Ji Xinglan smiled and shook his head.

Yan Qiu pursed his lips and stared at him. He wasn’t in the mood to continue guessing, so he quietly reached out to grab his medical report, but Ji Xinglan swiftly hid it behind his back. Not only did Yan Qiu fail to grab it, but he also ended up losing his balance and tumbled into Ji Xinglan’s arms.

‘You didn’t give me a single hint, so how am I supposed to guess?’

Yan Qiu slowly pushed himself up, criticizing nonstop in his heart.

Ji Xinglan calmly sat down in the empty chair beside him and naturally placed his arm over Yan Qiu’s shoulders. He drew closer and whispered, “Kiss me, and I’ll tell you.”

It was the weekend. There were quite a number of people in the hospital. In fact, there were around ten people in the waiting room alone, and they consisted of both adults and children.

Yan Qiu was worried that he would have a negative influence on the children, so he didn’t move, but Ji Xinglan continued egging him onward and tempted him. He even bit his earlobe, causing Yan Qiu to feel a little hot.

In his annoyance, he suddenly grabbed Ji Xinglan’s collar and yanked him over. They formed an airtight triangular space at the corner, and Yan Qiu hugged his neck to give him a swift peck on the lips. “Hurry up and tell me.”

Ji Xinglan seemed to be satisfied. He removed his hand from behind his back and handed the report in his hands to Yan Qiu.

“Look. We have twins.”

There was faint joy in his voice, and his eyes shone like obsidians as he stared at Yan Qiu.

“What? I’m pregnant with two kids?” Yan Qiu did not expect that he had twins, and his eyes instantly widened. He appeared stunned. Then, slowly, joy showed up on his face.

He quickly opened the report and read through it.

“Yes, we have two.” Ji Xinglan watched as Yan Qiu’s face lit up like he had just found treasure, and he smiled with him. He reached out and caressed Yan Qiu’s head.

Yan Qiu stared at the report for a long time before he tossed the paper to the side and started happily making plans. “Two’s perfect. You like omegas, and I like alphas. Then, we’ll have one each.”

“How do you know that it’ll be an alpha and omega?” Ji Xinglan stared at his naive expression and could not help but snicker.

“Didn’t you listen in class?” Yan Qiu said assertively, “You’re a top-grade alpha, so it’s highly likely that our children will be either alphas or omegas.”

“…What do you mean, we’ll have one each? All of them are mine.” Ji Xinglan could not be bothered by reasoning with him. He just hugged Yan Qiu and bit his moist lips. “You’re mine, too.”

Yan Qiu still felt shy about public displays of affection, so he pushed him a little.

“That’s not what I meant. I’m saying that once I give birth, we can take care of one each.” Yan Qiu smoothed out his messy shirt collar, and a hint of cunning shone in his black eyes. “But since you decided to volunteer, you can take care of them both.”

Yet even though this was what he said, Yan Qiu just could not imagine Young Master Ji taking care of children, feeding them milk, and changing their diapers. He was even thinking about taking care of them both at the same time. The moment he thought about it, he found it slightly hilarious.

But it would not be interesting if he saw this scene alone. Yan Qiu wanted to snap a picture of this bizarre scene and post it on the school forum so that the others could see it.

When they walked into the parking lot, Yan Qiu remained in a daze, thinking about something. Even after he sat in the car, he forgot to fasten his seatbelt. He just stared outside the window mumbling to himself.

Ji Xinglan drew closer and fastened his seatbelt for him. He also brushed his lips against Yan Qiu’s cheek. “Penny for your thoughts?”

Since he had suddenly drawn closer, Yan Qiu was shocked, and he snapped out of his daze.

He was wondering about something that every parent should go through.

“Hey, Ji Xinglan, since you’re good at studies, what names should we give to the babies?” Yan Qiu eagerly threw this burden into Ji Xinglan’s hands.

Ji Xinglan cast him a glance through the rearview mirror. As he started the car, he said smoothly, “Xing Xing and Qiu Qiu.”

Yan Qiu was rendered speechless by his high-class naming standards, and he quickly refused. “No. Those don’t sound cool enough.”

They didn’t inherit his demeanor at all.

Ji Xinglan smiled and no longer suggested any other stupid ideas. In any case, it would still be a long while before the babies were born. They had time to think about it and didn’t need to do things as hurriedly as his mother always did.

Meanwhile, Yan Qiu started doing what other parents normally did and flipped through the dictionary to look for names, as well as wondered whether he could give names to his children based on poems, but he did not manage to get a satisfactory answer.

“I won’t say much about their nicknames, but we can’t call them Xing Xing and Qiu Qiu for their real names, right?” Yan Qiu no longer had the energy to think, but in the end, he still chose the names that he had once scoffed at.

He faced Ji Xinglan and placed his chin on Ji Xinglan’s shoulder before biting down on his defined collarbone.

Ji Xinglan looked down at the boy laying on his shoulder, and his gaze softened. He ruffled Yan Qiu’s head and enjoyed the sensation of his smooth hair slipping through his fingers.

“It’s fine. We can think about it slowly.”

Yan Qiu hummed and buried his face in Ji Xinglan’s neck before nuzzling against him. As he breathed, all he could smell was the refreshing scent of his pheromones.

……

Just as the doctor said, Yan Qiu’s estrus period gradually became chaotic. His estrus period was supposed to only appear once a month, but now, it appeared once every few days. And even though it didn’t last long each time and would disappear like melting ice once he was temporarily marked, the frequent amount of times it appeared affected his life more than expected.

For two straight weeks, the bites on Yan Qiu’s neck never healed. Ji Xinglan’s heart ached for him. He originally wanted Yan Qiu to stay at home, but Yan Qiu still insisted on going to school.

Those with a little more experience would know that Yan Qiu was pregnant now, considering his chaotic estrus periods. But Yan Qiu could not be bothered about other people’s thoughts. He snuggled against Ji Xinglan all the time because as long as he stayed together with his alpha and was surrounded by his pheromones, the uncomfortable numbness in his body could be soothed.

One day, Ji Xinglan handed Yan Qiu a spray bottle.

“What’s that?” Yan Qiu took it and toyed with it.

“A scent blocker,” Ji Xinglan said.

Yan Qiu let out a puzzled grunt. He had heard of scent blockers before, but this sort of medicine was still not used by a large population of people, and neither was it promoted or sold largely in the market. It was rather pricey, and that was why most omegas simply wore suppressant collars.

Behind him, Ji Xinglan carefully brought his hand up and removed the collar on his neck before tossing it on the table. He did not think that the bandages wrapped around Yan Qiu’s neck were ugly and just bent down to give a gentle kiss on the spot where Yan Qiu’s scent gland was. Then, he sprayed Yan Qiu with the scent blockers.

The scent blockers smelled great. It was sweet, but not sickening. A faint, fruity smell filled the air.

“I bit your scent glands, and if you continue using the collar, you might be in pain. Use this in the future.” Ji Xinglan put the bottle in Yan Qiu’s pocket and instructed him gently, “Just spray yourself twice each time, and it will last for around three to four hours.”

Even though scent blockers were convenient, without the collar covering his neck, Yan Qiu’s neck could be seen clearly by other people.

When he thought of this, Ji Xinglan felt a little displeased and pursed his lips. He did not want others to see Yan Qiu’s scent gland, so he suddenly reached out and pulled out Yan Qiu’s hair tie.

Yan Qiu was slightly stunned. His shoulder-length hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and it covered his scent gland.

Ji Xinglan toyed with his hair for a while, and once he was certain that Yan Qiu’s neck was covered properly, he kissed his temple in satisfaction.

“I’m the only one allowed to see this part.”
