As they ate breakfast, Yan Qiu sat across Ji Xinglan, swinging his legs. He drank congee in a slightly absent-minded manner.
The maid standing by the side could see that his lips were a little bewitchingly red. They were a little swollen as well. She covered her face, too shy to look.
It was early in the morning, yet the young master was really energetic.
After he finished eating, Yan Qiu went upstairs to pack up so that he could go and look at the apartment with Ji Xinglan.
Yan Qiu originally thought that they would be moving with a lot of luggage, but Ji Xinglan didn’t look for a truck to help them with the move. He only told Yan Qiu to pack the clothes he needed. Then, he drove over.
“The apartment has already been renovated. You just need to bring your clothes.”
While Yan Qiu packed his things, Ji Xinglan stood beside him and blew into his ears to cause mischief. “You can choose not to bring any too.”
Thinking that he was annoying, Yan Qiu picked up a pillow and chased him out of the room.
Once he was done teaching Ji Xinglan a lesson, he started looking through his closet and found that there was nothing worth bringing. Thus, he just tossed a few clothes into his bag.
However, when he peered into the bottom drawer of his closet today, he found more than ten pairs of shiny and sexy underwear over there.
Yan Qiu found himself speechless.
When he thought about how the original owner of the body wore this sort of stuff to seduce Ji Xinglan, Yan Qiu felt that his pure heart and eyes were badly damaged. He endured his disdain and shock as he threw them away.
But once he threw them away, he regretted it. He only had three pairs of normal underwear, and they were all in shades of pink and white.
Yan Qiu couldn’t help but feel an ache in his chest as he cast a glance at the trashcan. The best pair of underwear he had was a pure white underwear, and he already wasted it.
The place Ji Xinglan mentioned was a high-class apartment complex. There were two blocks in total and they were Block A and Block B. Both had more than thirty floors. The apartment complex was only two streets away from the school. If they walked, they would need less than ten minutes to reach school.
They parked the car at the underground parking lot and took the elevator upstairs. The butler took their luggage and went up with them. After they put their luggage bags down, Ji Xinglan asked him to leave.
Yan Qiu went on an apartment tour. The decorations in the apartment were rather simple, but compared to living with a large group of boys, it was definitely more comfortable living in the apartment.
The only downside about living in this place was that the living room had been modified into a gym. Because of this, there was only one bedroom in the apartment, Yan Qiu was forced to sleep with Ji Xinglan on the only bed in the apartment at night.
Ji Xinglan witnessed his dejected expression and stroked his head in a loving manner. “Stop thinking about it. Even if there are two rooms, you would still have to sleep with me.”
Yan Qiu dragged his luggage bag into the room. Then, he brought the clothes out of the luggage bag and stuffed them into the closet.
Now, not only did he have to eat, live, and sleep together with Ji Xinglan, they had to share a closet.
Yan Qiu stared at their closet, which was filled with their clothes, and he felt that things were becoming weirder.

There was not a single speck of dust on the floor in the house. Every day, the hourly employee would come over to clean the place, but since this was the first time Yan Qiu set foot in the house, he still swept the floor in a symbolic manner.
Sweeping the floor was his specialty. Every time Mr. Yang caught him and made him write a self-reflection essay, he would also shove a broom into his hands and make him sweep the floor. Yan Qiu had diligently swept every single corner of the school before.
After some time, Ji Xinglan found that Yan Qiu had disappeared. He went into the house and threw the hourly employee who had not managed to sweep up a single bit of dust from the floor, out of the house.
Recently, Yan Qiu had become quick to hunger. It might be because he was pregnant, and he needed nutrients for two.

He was very serious when he washed the cooking utensils, and he looked as if he was about to cook by himself.
When Yan Qiu walked into the new kitchen, he observed it. The kitchen had all the required utensils, and it even had an oven to make snacks, but they looked exquisite and complicated, like they were just there as decorations.
He didn’t think that Ji Xinglan actually knew how to cook, so he pouted. “I’m making a statement here. I don’t know how to cook. If we’re going to order takeout, you’re paying.”
Ji Xinglan had just finished cleaning up the utensils. He used a clean cloth and wiped the bowl in his hands clean before he placed it in the rack by the side. He said simply, “I’ll cook.”
Yan Qiu had been standing by the side, doing nothing. He widened his eyes. He couldn’t believe that Ji Xinglan, who seemed like he was the type of person to never touch anything in the kitchen, would actually know how to cook.
When he wore an apron, he actually looked like a little housewife.
Yan Qiu couldn’t help but stare at his waistline, which had a smooth, beautiful curve because of his shirt.
Ji Xinglan noticed his gaze. He wiped his hands and picked up his terminal to tap a few buttons.
Then, Yan Qiu’s terminal let out a beep. A feminine voice enunciated clearly, “One hundred thousand has been credited to your terminal wallet.”
When Yan Qiu heard this, he was instantly delighted. He was rich!
Anyway, he didn’t ask Ji Xinglan for that money. Ji Xinglan was the one who insisted on stuffing the money to him. Even if he wanted to refuse it, he couldn’t.
However, Ji Xinglan hadn’t just randomly given him pocket money. He wanted Yan Qiu to go downstairs to the supermarket so that he could buy the ingredients for their meals.
Since he had paid for it, Yan Qiu decided that today, he would listen obediently.
Ji Xinglan seemed to be worried. He originally wanted to accompany him, but Yan Qiu pushed him back. Therefore, he could only give some instructions to Yan Qiu. “The supermarket is at the intersection to the south. You should be able to reach it if you walk fifty meters. We saw it before when we were on our way home. You won’t get lost, right?”
Yan Qiu glared at him. How could he possibly get lost when he was just walking a few steps over to the supermarket? Ji Xinglan had underestimated his intelligence.
When Yan Qiu was running amok in alleys covered in spider webs, Ji Xinglan was still drinking his mother’s milk!
As Ji Xinglan heard Yan Qiu’s words, Ji Xinglan sent the shopping list to Yan Qiu’s terminal. He also took the chance to stuff the access card into Yan Qiu’s pocket.
If he walked fifty meters south of the apartment complex, he would arrive at a large underground supermarket at the junction.
Yan Qiu bought ingredients based on Ji Xinglan’s request. When he pushed open the door to walk out of the supermarket with bags of ingredients in hand, a bone chilling cold instantly came crashing into his face.
When he had entered the supermarket, the sky was still clear, but now, there was a light drizzle.
The rain might not be heavy, but autumn rain would increase the humidity in the air, causing the temperature to drop sharply.
Yan Qiu was worried that if he dallied any longer, the rain would become heavier, so he tugged his clothes tighter around himself and headed back.
When he was just about to reach the bottom of the apartment, he accidentally crashed into a trash can by the road because he was running a little too quickly, nearly causing the trash can to topple over.
Yan Qiu almost tripped. He sucked in a sharp breath and bore the pain on his knee so that he could stop and right the trash can.

The trash can was positioned a little off center. A sanitation worker might have been sweeping leaves on the pedestrian walkway and dragged the trash can to the road.
Yan Qiu grimaced and was about to leave, when he suddenly noticed something moving in the grass patch beside the trash can. The white ball of fur in the bush was incredibly eye-catching.
He narrowed his eyes and stared at it curiously. There was a newborn kitten lying in the bush. It had pure, white fur, and it was staring warily at him with sparkling eyes.
When Yan Qiu saw what it was, he instinctively took one step backwards.
Others might find it funny, but he was a little scared of cats, because he had been hurt by a feral cat when he was young and fed cats. The bleeding wounds on his arm remained fresh in his mind, and he had nearly been scarred. This was why he shuddered with fear whenever he saw cats.
However, the kitten in front of him was just too young, and he wasn’t very afraid of it. When he saw how much it trembled, he actually found it rather pitiful.
It was getting colder outside. If a cat as young as this one wandered around alone, it wouldn’t survive for long.
Even if it didn’t freeze to death, it might starve or get run over by passing cars. In fact, it might get eaten by other stray animals.
Yan Qiu found the image of the kitten trembling by the trash can to be truly pitiful, and his sympathy for it overcame all else. The kitten still couldn’t survive on its own. The weather was getting colder, and winter was coming. It was basically impossible for it to get through winter in this sort of situation.
Yan Qiu crouched down by the walkway and brought out a sausage from his shopping bag. He tried to feed the kitten.
The kitten had been hungry for a long time, so it immediately started wolfing down the sausage.
But it was just too small. It couldn’t gnaw into such a huge sausage. After biting it a few times, it only left behind a few small bite marks on the sausage.
Yan Qiu decided to be kind to the end. He tore the sausage into shreds and fed it to the kitten.
Yan Qiu squatted by the road with his head bowed. He watched the kitten eat, but he had no intention of keeping the kitten. He didn’t have the courage to keep a kitten anyways.
He kept on feeding the kitten sausages until it stopped eating. Then, he rubbed its head, stood up, and started walking back.
Ji Xinglan was still waiting for the ingredients he bought.
Nonetheless, after taking a few steps, Yan Qiu turned his head around and he noticed that the kitten was stumbling after him.
It moved its thin legs and looked like a baby tottering around. It hobbled forward, practically unable to summon any strength. It was impossible for it to move faster than Yan Qiu, but it still tried to catch Yan Qiu with all its might.
It was still raining, the water was still cold. The kitten’s fur was already soaked through by the rain. Realistically, even if it could survive through this rain, it would freeze to death.
Yan Qiu watched it flounder about until it reached his side, his heart was filled with complex emotions. He stopped moving and he couldn’t help but bent down and picked it up. When he did, he could sense its tiny body trembling.
The kitten used its warm and pink tongue to lick Yan Qiu’s finger, gently showing its good will. When Yan Qiu picked it up, he found that he no longer had the heart to put it down.
Yan Qiu brought it back to the apartment, but he knew that he couldn’t bring the kitten in.
Ji Xinglan didn’t like animals at all. If he saw Yan Qiu bring a wild cat back, it was highly likely that he would throw the kitten out.
So Yan Qiu thought about it. He would first stuff the kitten into his jacket and pull up the zipper.
He would act first and bring it back first before telling Ji Xinglan about it.
The kitten was tiny, and Ji Xinglan wouldn’t be able to see anything if it hid in his shirt. If he only hid it for a while, it wouldn’t suffocate, and he could keep it warm as well.
Yan Qiu rode the elevator up, but the kitten refused to stay quietly under his jacket. It moved around and constantly tried to peak out of his collar. Yan Qiu held the shopping bags in one hand while he rearranged his clothes so that he could hide it well. Then, he brought out his key to open the door.
He pushed the door open. Ji Xinglan was currently boiling water in the house. When he wore an apron, he was surprisingly good looking. Even if he wore loose, casual pants, Yan Qiu could tell that he had a thin waist and long legs.
Yan Qiu put the bags on the table. Ji Xinglan heard him, and he peaked out of the kitchen to speak to him. “You’ve bought the things? We’re eating hotpot for lunch. Go and wash your hands. Then, come and help me cut the vegetables for me.”
“Okay.” Yan Qiu felt that the kitten under his jacket was incredibly active, and it looked like it was about to run out. So, he gave a casual reply.
He was just about to sneak into his room when he heard Ji Xinglan call him behind him. “Did you eat the sausage?”
Yan Qiu looked at the sausage in Ji Xinglan’s hand. Only half of it remained. His expression was slightly awkward. “Yeah, I was feeling hungry on the way back.”
The sausage he bought was actually those thick, square-shaped sausages, that were usually cut into pieces to be cooked together with other ingredients. They were seldom eaten alone. The kitten had stopped eating after it ate half of it, and Yan Qiu had stuffed the rest back into the plastic bag.
Ji Xinglan looked at him with a complicated gaze, but he said nothing.
Yan Qiu casually picked up the sausage and was just about to run away when Ji Xinglan looked as if he had discovered something. He suddenly reached out and grabbed him.
Puzzled, he looked at the small but abnormal bump on Yan Qiu’s stomach. “Baby, something’s off about you today.”
Yan Qiu gave him an awkward chuckle while he discreetly used his sleeve to wipe off the cold sweat that had broken out on his skin. “Haha, there’s nothing wrong about me.”
But there was no way Ji Xinglan could have missed his actions. “You’re being so secretive. Are you hiding something?”
Yan Qiu was stunned. He immediately denied it. “No, it’s nothing. I’m not hiding anything.”
Ji Xinglan couldn’t figure out what he was hiding either, but there was no way he could have brought his “lover” (Xie Yu) back. Still, when he saw Yan Qiu hurrying to his room right after he came back, he was unable to help but look in the direction of the room. “Are you sure you haven’t brought anything back to hide it in the room?”
“I really didn’t! I just really want to use the toilet!” Yan Qiu felt that he was about to not be able to hide the kitten under his jacket anymore, so he found a random excuse and immediately ran off. However, Ji Xinglan just had to grab his arm and prevent him from running.
Right when Ji Xinglan grabbed his arm, the guilty Yan Qiu lost his balance. He fell straight into Ji Xinglan’s arms. The kitten under his jacket also seemed to have been shocked. It started scrambling around under his jacket. Yan Qiu’s collar moved, and with a loud meow, a kitten’s head suddenly popped out.
Ji Xinglan found himself speechless.
And so was Yan Qiu.
Both of them looked at the kitten at the same time, then at each other. In panic, Yan Qiu wanted to stuff the kitten back under his jacket, but it was already too late.
Ji Xinglan snickered, and he seized Yan Qiu’s hand to stop him from moving. He stared at him. “So, it’s the one who ate half the sausage?”
Yan Qiu nodded honestly.
Ji Xinglan grabbed the scruff of the kitten’s neck and pulled it out from under Yan Qiu’s jacket.
Ji Xinglan acted predictably. With no expression on his face, he lifted the kitten and admonished Yan Qiu, “Don’t pick up stray cats.”
“Don’t toss it.” Yan Qiu was worried that he would throw the kitten away, so he hastily went to snatch it back. “What’s wrong with me picking up strays? Studying and living is really boring, so I picked up a kitten to get rid of my boredom.”
Ji Xinglan didn’t seem to like animals a lot. He clucked his tongue. “What’s so fun about stray cats? I can play with you.”
Yan Qiu gave him a complicated glance. How exactly could Ji Xinglan play with him? All he did was bully him.
When he saw the fleeting scorn in Yan Qiu’s eyes, Ji Xinglan felt a little hurt. In the end, he still pretended to be generous and said, “If you like cats, I can buy you something even prettier.”
Yan Qiu knew that this was a sign of him agreeing to let Yan Qiu keep a cat. He was delighted, and he grabbed Ji Xinglan’s arm. “But I want this kitten.”
When he saw that Yan Qiu had grabbed his arm and even acted in a way that was almost cute, Ji Xinglan fell silent for a moment before he decided to be a rogue. Naturally, he decided to be the worst kind of rascal.
“Kiss me.”
Yan Qiu looked at him as if he had seen a ghost. He didn’t say anything, but his ears gradually turned red. He pretended to not hear him. “What?”
Ji Xinglan stared at Yan Qiu’s ears and gave a smile that would cause others to blunder. “Come on, kiss me, and I’ll let you keep it.”
