Ch76 - Ji Xinglan is Very Good, I Don’t Want to Divorce Him

Translator: Mogumoguchan

Yan Qiu looked down at his bound wrists and struggled. He didn’t know what kind of skills Ji Xinglan had in tying knots, because no matter how he struggled, he couldn’t break free. In fact, the more he struggled, the tighter it became.

His exposed skin felt cold and he shuddered, but his hands were tied to the cupboard door. He couldn’t run.

Ji Xinglan was doing something behind him and he seemed like he wasn’t in a hurry to enjoy his spoils. Instead, he seemed to be calmly admiring how pathetic and pitiful Yan Qiu looked like right now, as if he was admiring a work of art.

The alpha’s piercing gaze crept down his spine, feeling almost as if it had physical form. It was as sharp as a blade as it crawled down his fair, thin nape and  scraped his neatly arranged ribs and fair skin.

The alpha’s unique scent continued pressing down on his body. Even though they were not directly in contact, Yan Qiu still felt as if he was currently being tightly enveloped in his arms.

This feeling felt extremely comfortable. It caused him to go weak at the knees, and he couldn’t breathe.

Ji Xinglan was still dressed properly behind him looking like an elegant, noble young master. But his expression was not that of an upright man.

After Ji Xinglan entered through the door, he removed his coat, though he was still dressed properly.Yan Qiu, however, already had his pants yanked down, the fabric pooled at his ankles, his shirt lifted up to his chest.

Yan Qiu curled up, revealing the smooth lines of his back. Water dripped from the ends of his black hair, and pink bloomed across his fair cheeks, making him look like a cute merfolk who was captured by a dirty human to become their toy.

Yan Qiu hung his head, and when he heard the sound of the zipper being pulled down behind him, he couldn’t help but curl his toes. He strained his neck to look back at the beautiful V-line that stretched into his alpha’s pants.

His tender skin rubbed against the fabric of his shirt. Compared to his skin, the fabric was coarse. There were metal buttons on the clothing, so it felt a little cold and itchy.

He sensed the person behind him inching closer, terrifying Yan Qiu into shuddering.

There was still someone outside, what was he doing?!

Yan Qiu immediately tried to raise his leg and hook up his pants, but not only did he fail, Ji Xinglan even grabbed his ankle.

The posture of having one leg raised was ridiculously inelegant and made it very easy for Ji Xinglan to do whatever he wanted with him as well.

Embarrassed, Yan Qiu turned angrily to glare at him, only to be returned with Ji Xinglan’s profound gaze.

When he saw those dark eyes, his heart couldn’t help but race.

If there was anything that was absolutely black in the world, then this must be it.

Those intense eyes seemed to absorb all the light in the world.

When Yan Qiu snapped out of his daze, he noticed that he had been staring at Ji Xinglan for a long time.

‘…He’s really good looking. He’s stupidly good looking.’

Yan Qiu was like a white fish on a chopping board. He trembled a little but was completely at Ji Xinglan’s mercy.

Having his hands tied as a form of play was already humiliating enough. Besides, Xie Yu was still in the living room outside.

Yan Qiu was finally unable to hold on and surrendered. He begged for mercy softly. “I… was just joking. You’re good at everything, too good.”

But Ji Xinglan just pursed his lips and sniffed his nape. He did not relent and asked, “…And what part of me is good? Tell me the details.”

Yan Qiu was stunned.

…Details? How detailed was he supposed to go?

He couldn’t say it.

Since he wasn’t getting an answer, Ji Xinglan grew impatient. He took half a step backward, and Yan Qiu felt something metallic scratch his skin. It hurt a little.

He hissed and thought that Ji Xinglan was ready to let him go, but Ji Xinglan’s enchanting voice slowly crept into his ears. “Do you need me to help you remember it?”

That night, Xie Yu laid on the couch and slept like a log while drooling on it. He did not hear any of the strange sounds and pleas for mercy come from the room.

When Yan Qiu woke up the next morning, Ji Xinglan was no longer in bed.

Yan Qiu was punished for slandering Ji Xinglan. His entire body ached and he winced as he sat in bed.

But even though wrists were chaffed, his body was clean and covered with a dry bathrobe. After Ji Xinglan was done with him last night, he carried him to the bathroom and washed him.

Yan Qiu dragged his aching body off the bed and grabbed his terminal from the bedside cabinet to check the time.

At the same time the screen lit up, a roar very much like that of an evil dragon came from the room. “DAMN YOU, JI XINGLAN!”

Yan Qiu glared at his terminal. Within just one night, his screensaver had been secretly switched out.

It was now a crass picture of a teary eyed Yan Qiu with his wrists bound.

He did not even need to think to know whose fault this was.

If this was just a photo taken while he was unaware, he would forget it, but Ji Xinglan actually set it as his screensaver! How could he be so shameless?!

Yan Qiu changed the picture in a hurry, so he picked the option to change his screensaver automatically. A bright red flower appeared on his terminal, and it looked like those lame screensavers that only old people used.

Though it didn’t matter what he changed it to. Yan Qiu put down his terminal and angrily went out to settle scores with that bastard, only to have Xie Yu tell him Ji Xinglan went out to buy breakfast.

Xie Yu was currently sitting on the couch examining a red book. Lanlan the kitten sat on his lap yawning.

When he saw Yan Qiu walk out, Xie Yu excitedly showed him the picture on it. “Your wedding photo looks pretty good. Where did you take it?”

“…” Yan Qiu stared at him like he was taking pity on a mentally retarded kid. He remained silent for a while before he answered, “The department of civil affairs.”

This was the first time a certain person who had been single for nineteen years saw a wedding certificate. He curiously examined it nonstop, and Yan Qiu snatched his wedding certificate back to put it in his pocket. “Where did you find it?”

“It was on the tea table just now,” Xie Yu said.

Yan Qiu looked in the direction where he pointed. He had one hand in his pocket, and it fingered the certificate booklet’s edge. He remembered that he put the certificate away properly, so if it were on the tea table, it was clear that Ji Xinglan brought it out to show off.

Xie Yu seemed like he was enlightened because of the wedding certificate. He looked over at the door, and when he saw that Ji Xinglan showed no signs of coming back, he whispered, “Boss, I remember you said that this is a fake marriage.”

“Yeah,” Yan Qiu replied. Indeed, they were in a fake marriage.

Xie Yu stroked his chin. “You said that you signed an agreement with Ji Xinglan. You’d divorce him after you give birth to his son.”

Yan Qiu said nothing.

A few months had passed, and he had different thoughts now.

Ji Xinglan was a very good man. He did not want to divorce him.

When he saw how hesitant he looked, Xie Yu had already guessed the answer. He smiled and said, “That’s right. He likes you, and you like him too. Why should you get divorced? This is good.”

Xie Yu looked like he had some biased views about Ji Xinglan, so Yan Qiu knew that he was saying this to comfort him, but he did not expect that Xie Yu would appear so sincere. “I saw it yesterday.”

Yan Qiu’s heart clenched nervously.

‘What the heck? What did he see?’

“Ji Xinglan is pretty good to you.” Xie Yu did not notice that he was currently very nervous. He continued, “He even cooked for you. My mom said that a good man might not know how to cook, but a man who washes the dishes for you every day is a good man.”

“…”

Why did it feel like Xie Yu’s mother was just trying to trick Xie Yu’s father into washing the plates and Xie Yu was the only one who believed it in the end?

Yan Qiu licked his lips, before he finally released the breath he had been holding all this while.

“I really didn’t expect it.” Xie Yu placed his hands behind his head and said with a sigh, “I always thought that you’d find an obedient omega girl in the end and marry her. I didn’t expect that before the omega girl came around, Ji Xinglan arrived.”

Yan Qiu looked up silently and glared at him resentfully.

‘Thanks for the praise. I became an omega for love.’

“…What’s even more ridiculous is that you’re pregnant with his kid.” Xie Yu was scratching his head while mumbling. Suddenly, he looked at Yan Qiu’s stomach. “Is that how it is to be pregnant? I don’t see any changes to your stomach.”

At the mention of his stomach, Yan Qiu’s eyelids fell a little as well.

As time continued passing, Yan Qiu found it increasingly strange. He did not have any symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or having no appetite. Based on what Ji Xinglan said, it had been at least three and a half months.

It was possible that he wouldn’t see a bulge during the first three months, but now, more than three months have passed. There was no way his stomach would still be so flat, right?

Yan Qiu had asked Ji Xinglan about it a few days ago, but Ji Xinglan had promised that he didn’t lie to him. For a period of time, he wasn’t sure whether he should believe in Ji Xinglan or not.

Ji Xinglan couldn’t have possibly aimed so far ahead at the start and decided to keep him around since the beginning, right?

Yan Qiu thought that since he decided to tell Ji Xinglan the truth, there was no need for Ji Xinglan to lie to him.

There were countless questions in his mind, and his complexion wasn’t very good either. It turned red for one moment, then pale the next.

Xie Yu quickly went to support him. “What’s wrong?”

Why did he have such a major reaction?

Yan Qiu found it embarrassing to tell Xie Yu the reason. He could only say shyly, “Honestly, I’ve been suspecting that I’m not pregnant over the past few days. I looked for information in the beginning and found that male omegas have stronger constitutions compared to female omegas. They also have fewer adverse reactions during pregnancy, but I don’t think that this is the reason.

“…I don’t want to suspect him either. I can somewhat accept the reason behind why I don’t have adverse reactions and other symptoms, but right now, I’m not showing any signs of being pregnant, so I’m really finding it strange. What’s going on?”

When he heard this question, Xie Yu was stunned before he mumbled, “No way.”

Yan Qiu sat down on the couch, and he looked at the floor with a rather blank gaze.

“In the beginning, I didn’t think it was possible either…”

Logically speaking, there wasn’t a need for Ji Xinglan to lie to him, so what was he aiming for?

Xie Yu drew closer to Yan Qiu and patted his shoulder, motioning that Yan Qiu shouldn’t get angry for the time being.

“Honestly, if you want to know, it’s simple. Just get a pregnancy test and test it. Then, you’ll know.”

Mogumoguchan: Xie Yu’s role isn’t just Yan Qiu’s best friend at this point. He’s the one moving the plot forward.
