Akudou ch 12

[Asuma POV]

"Asuma, how long has it been since you came to talk to me like this?"(Hiruzen)

Asuma is in his father's house inside the Sarutobi clan compound, the two are having tea quietly until his father asks him.

"About five to six years, after your decision on the kyuubi attack seven years ago. But I'm not here for that, I'm here to talk about more important things"(Asuma)

Hiruzen takes a sip of his tea before asking him again.

"You still think the way of the shinobi is wrong?"(Hiruzen)

"That's true, and I doubt that will ever change. But that is not important right now, I come here to talk about the Uchiha, it's starting to get out of hand between the Uchiha and the villagers, if things are left as it is, it will get to the point of no return"(Asuma)

Hiruzen let out a long sigh with a tired expression.

"I've tried to let the Uchiha regain the trust of the villagers, but things is not that easy"(Hiruzen)

*BANG!*

Asuma smashed the table, the tea cup fell and broke as it's content was splashing everywhere. The power behind it makes Hiruzen narrow his eyes.

"Isn't that easy!? That is because you didn't do Anything!! What did you ever do to help the Uchiha to get the villagers' trust back!? Getting the two geniuses of the Uchiha into the anbu so nobody would know how much they did for the village!? How the fuck do you think that will help!?"(Asuma)

Gritting his teeth Asuma continues.

"You are the reason the Uchiha are in this position, the villagers trusted you, and they distrust the Uchiha who didn't have your trust seven years ago. If you don't take a move to remedy this, then we could lose the Uchiha clan, and that is the least of your problems. Whether the Uchiha decided to leave Konoha, cut ties with us or wage war against us, doesn't matter because losing them in any way will mean the end of this village. "(Asuma)

"The other villages won't stay put if they know the Uchiha and us are on each other's throats. They'll try to get the Uchiha to their side and get a part of if not Konoha itself under their rule"(Asuma)

Hiruzen takes a while before a sigh comes out as he makes his decision.

"Alright, I understand"(Hiruzen)

"I hope you really do, because I'm at my limit with you"(Asuma)

Asuma leaves, he knows it's not the optimal conversation. But he is still not able to talk calmly in front of his father after the multiple mistakes he wouldn't admit he had made.

Asuma walks towards a house still inside the Sarutobi clan compound. A medium size house unlike his father's, it belongs to his brother. He knocked on the door before a woman a few years younger than him opened the door. She has shoulder length brown hair, a round face and overall kind aura surrounding her.

"Miki? Is my brother home?"(Asuma)

"Asuma-san? Come in, Saruhiko-san is still not home"(Miki)

Asuma gets inside his brother's house. Ever since his fight with his father, his brother has been helping him with information. His brother saw that their father is making mistakes but unlike Asuma, he takes it as their father getting too old for his job. And often asked him for his opinion on things as he is sometimes clumsy on things.

Asuma agreed that his father's mistake is partly because of his age, and that is also the reason he can't accept his father clinging to that position even though he no longer fits it. He should have nurtured a good candidate for the next hokage instead of doing meaningless things he has been doing. He had done the same with Minato before he became the hokage he heard, so it's not something new.

Lady Tsunade, Lord Jiraiya, one of the clans head, Kakashi. Many could be the candidate for the next hokage if he had prepared them for that position. But no, he didn't, he would rather do all that unnecessary paperwork while blaming all his problems on his old age.

"How's your child?"(Asuma)

"Konohamaru just finished his lunch so he's sleeping right now"(Miki)

"I see, can you tell my brother that I've had a talk with our father about the Uchiha? Our father said he would do something, but just in case it doesn't go well I'm going to try and plan something ahead. So if new information come to tell me ahead of time"(Asuma)

"Alright, I'll tell him that when he gets back"(Miki)

"Alright thanks, I'm going ahead then"(Asuma)

"Going already, why don't you stay for tea at least"(Miki)

"I'll refrain today, I can't calm down until I at least inform the people who can help fix this problem"(Asuma)

"Alright, be careful, I wish you luck"(Miki)

Asuma nodded and left the place. Heading home to prepare for what he needed to get the help from both Hyuga and Kurama clan.

[Hiruzen POV]

Inside the hokage office building, in one of the meeting rooms Hiruzen is meeting up with the other elders, Danzo, Mitokado, and Koharu. To talk about the conflict between Uchiha and villagers of Konoha, and to decide what solution to take from here on.

"We should call Shisui here to hear his report on the condition inside the Uchiha clan."(Koharu)

"True, without knowing their exact Condition we can't make a good move"(Mitokado)

"The Uchiha are dangerous, we should get rid of them before someone like Madara Uchiha come up again"(Danzo)

"Danzo, I have already told you multiple times that the Uchiha are one of our own, one of the founding clans of Konoha, and I will never allow you to do that. I agree with Koharu that we should call for Shisui"(Hiruzen)

They continue talking of possible solutions while waiting for Shisui to arrive after the anbu who has been ordered to call for Shisui left to get him. The elders except for Danzo were trying to find a peaceful solution for the Uchiha.

Shisui arrived a while later, giving information of the Uchiha clan to the hokage. They found out that a part of the Uchiha elders are planning a coup d'etat, taking the violence way to get Konoha for themselves, regaining their former glory as one of the most powerful clans.

He explained that the peaceful faction has done what they can, but too many have joined the other faction. Fugaku alone won't be able to hold the Uchiha at this rate, they needed help from outside.

This fact makes Danzo voice more of his opinion to eradicate the Uchiha clan, ignoring Shisui who is still there and listening. Hiruzen of course disagrees with him on that, so do the other two elders. Losing the Uchiha means losing their strongest clan that has been protecting the village since it was built.

The Uchiha might not have been too active outside of the village, but their reputation as the strongest was not forgotten. Their existence alone is enough to prevent other villages from attacking Konoha openly.

But when things have already gone this far, they can do little to stop the coup d'etat from Uchiha from happening. He understands what Asuma has said to him, Hiruzen hasn't done his best to stop things before it becomes like this. He cursed his old age as he kept thinking to push the problem to other people to ease his old body from too much stress.

"It's already too late, you should know that there are times when you need to make a difficult decision as a hokage"(Danzo)

Hiruzen was about to reluctantly agree with Danzo when Shisui stopped him.

"Please wait, there is one last move I can take, let me try it"(Shisui)

"You don't need to listen to him, it's a waste of time, you know there is nothing-"(Danzo)

"What are you planning on trying?"(Hiruzen)

"I'll use my mangekyou sharingan on the Uchiha"(Shisui)

Hiruzen frowned.

"Are you planning to put your clan in a jutsu?"(Hiruzen)

"Yes, my mangekyou, kotoamatsukami, is able to put strong genjutsu on people, I'll use it to change the clans mindset"(Shisui)

"You know what that means right?"(Hiruzen)

"Yes, even Fugaku wouldn't approve of this, but I'm willing to try it in order to keep the peace between the village and my clan"(Shisui)

Seeing Shisui remind Hiruzen of Minato, the determination to do what is needed to save his loved ones. Even if that will result in his death. Hiruzen let out a sigh, knowing that this young man wouldn't change his mind, but precisely because of that he needed to find another way to stop this conflict.

"I understand, but take your time thinking about it, it is a serious matter and we can't rush things or it might get more complicated"(Hiruzen)

"Yes, hokage-sama"(Shisui)

[Danzo POV]

"Torune call a few squad in, we will need them to take care of Shisui, he is too dangerous to be left alone"(Danzo)

"Fuu, you do the usual"(Danzo)

Danzo ordered for his two most trusted root members. Moving himself to follow after Shisui, he can't let him stop the doom of the Uchiha clan. Without the existence of Senju keeping the balance, Uchiha are far too dangerous to be left alive.

He keeps an eye on Shisui who is spying on his own clan, waiting for backup. Uchiha are dangerous, you can't fight them one on one without a way to handle their genjutsu. And someone with a mangekyou is at least ten times more dangerous than that.

His root anbu came right when Shisui seems to have made up his mind. He gives his order in a hurry.

"Stop him, lead him away from the Uchiha compound!"(Danzo)

His soldiers move following his order attacking Shisui while leading him away from Uchiha compound and the village.

Shisui escapes into a clearing, getting rid of hiding place for his squads. He comes out to the clearing, keeping his eyes away from Shisui's.

"As expected of Shunshin no Shisui"(Danzo)

"Danzo, what are you planning, why are you hindering me!?"(Shisui)

"You are an Uchiha but it seems you don't understand how priceless a mangekyou is. And you don't know how useless what you are about to do with your power"(Danzo)

"What?"(Shisui)

"Using your power and putting your entire clan in a genjutsu, that sounds like a good and fast solution in a glance. But what about after that? When you fail or miss some people? Those happened it will only make things worse for Konoha"(Danzo)

"The only solution now is to get rid of the source of the problem, the Uchiha clan. As long as the Uchiha clan exist, the possibility of this problem rising again won't disappear"(Danzo)

"You traitor, you will be dead when the hokage heard of this"(Shisui)

"Talk all you want, but you won't be getting out of here alive"(Danzo)

After he said that, the squads attacked at the same time. Fighting an Uchiha is really dangerous, as he manages to put a few of his anbu in a genjutsu and take them out just like that. They managed to hit Shisui from time to time but even with their numbers, they still had a hard time fighting him.

He hid among his anbu waiting for a chance when one of his anbu managed to hit him with poison smoke. As Shisui was distracted, he took his chance and struck for the Sharingan and stole it from Shisui.

"I got one eye for a start, one more left"(Danzo)

He reaches out to try and take Shisui's other eye but an explosion hits him and all his squad. He manages to survive the attack, and the sight of a giant green humanoid figure greets him. Shisui ran away before any of them could reorient themselves after the surprise attack.

"After him, with that wound, he can't go far"(Danzo)

Though he managed to survive the attack, being the closest from the source has dealt him too much damage. He was forced to retreat, leaving his anbu to run after and take care of Shisui.
